ItsurGurlAshalay2008 For me it doesn't no matter how much i sweat throughout the day. But you'll have to reapply it the next day after showering.
+Basma Dash I'm going to middle school and one of our supplies is deodorant. But my mom doesn't want me to use deodorant. She wants me to use natural stuff. I honestly don't wanna start using it also. I've started using lime as deodorant but I also wanna start using lemon.

What I do which is a good idea for all the people who are getting irritation from the lemon deodorant is this: squeeze a whole lemon, to get all the juice, then add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of spring or distilled water to the juice. Once you do that you can put it in a travel size spray bottle and just spray it on your armpits. It works like a charm. You can put the extra in a jar or container and refill as needed. You would need to keep it in the refrigerator but it is very convenient this way. Plus it helps dilute the lemon and make it last longer.
Can i just use pure lemon juice from the store and do I have to refrigirate it like maybe i do it in the morning and then after that take it to school the whole day and then out it back in the fridge?

I have diluted the lemon juice with witch hazel/aloe vera solution (bought on Amazon and I get the witch hazel without alcohol. It is just witch hazel and aloe vera and the combination of the two help to condition the skin as well.

Exactly. Lemons are very beneficial to consume and they are alkalizing when digested. They are fine to use on your skin [some people may experience sensitivities]. However, I do think it is EXTREMELY important to let people know DO NOT GO OUT IN THE SUN WITH LEMON JUICE ON YOUR SKIN. Lemons make the skin photo sensitive. Love the video, as always! I see lots of beauty DIYs using lemon, but I am scared to do them because my dermatologist says that some fruits like lemon, lime and grapefruit cause a type of sunburn on your skin called phytophotodermatitis. I think it would be fine if you use lemon on your skin at night, but I am still not sure...

Your dermatologist is right. Lemon is way too acidic to be put in our face and can cause discoloration and blisters.

Yes but I find lemons to be much more effective in terms of bacteria elimination so as not to cause body odour. Also, lemons last longer :-)
Lime works better for me than lemon.

I am not criticizing someome but just to put it out there
* hot water/steam does not "open" up pores and neither does cold water "tighten" them. Hot water simply loosens the oil in out sebaceous glands, and leavss the skin soft and more prone to damage and infections, and cold water firms the oils, therefore giving that tightening feeling.
The Ph of skin is 5.5 which is fairly acific, to ward of germs and bacteria, and with applying things like vingeager, baking soda, lemon juice etc a person is doing morr harm than good by messing up the pH of our skin.
The tingling feeling associated with the working of a product is wrong as well. If a product tingles or burns, it is basically the skin being overwhelmed by the products, which is a BAD thing.
Exfoliating with sugar/salts/othrr such articles is also awful fot the skin because thr particles of the exfoliating product make tiny lacerations in the skin and make the skin more inflamed and prone to infections

There was a scientific study done a few years ago by a major dermatology publication showing that it was the lemon oil was the problem with sun sensitivity. There are still alot of health misconceptions just like how some doctors still think being vegetarian is unhealthy =)
