I had a Maltese and they will steal your heart for sure. His name was Tucker and he lived until 13.5 yrs old. He would sit and beg holding his paws together, looked like he was praying...no one taught him to do it...I still miss him terribly.

I have a maltese I have had for 12 years. She is getting blind and hard of hearing, but still walks right beside me and sleeps next to me. She is everything the video says and more. 💕 love her to pieces.

Today is my late Maltese, *Toby* , 1st year passed on anniversary...I missed him terribly. When I came across *Xanti* the Maltese, I missed my *Toby* even more...Finding my solace in this video. Maltese is always so cute and fun-loving!
Sorry for your loss...I thought about the fear of losing mine as well and was the main reason why I didnt want to adopt...Oh well Im enjoying him while it last!!!

I lost my Havanese Baby Girl. She was 15 Years old. I miss her so much. I still cry alot it still hurts so much not having her any more. A few Months before that I lost my Bichon Fris'e Girl. She also was almost 16 Years old. It hurts in my Heart and can't let those two out of my Mind. They both loved eachother so much. The best little Dogs ever. I still have all their Toys and Dog houses. I just can't give it away. I wish you all the best. Take care and maybe you will find a little Dog again that will help you a little.

We rescued a 5 year old, female Maltese from a puppy mill. In 3 months it’s amazing how she’s come around! She still gets scared meeting new people, but in time I’m sure she’ll do fine with that too! Totally love her! ❤️

Thought they were serious for a min, rescued a maltese a few months ago and fell all the way head over heels... So smart and they almost don't shed at all and no bad odors...
I have had three. My Luigi just passed in December 2020 he was almost 19 years old. Our home is not the same. I miss him everyday. So thankful for the many years we had him. 🐾🐾

Sept 2020 my Westie, my Yorkie and my husband passed. I am just now letting myself think of getting another puppy. I'm now living in a small apartment on small income. I watch these videos and cry.
I had a pair of Maltese girls. Each one weighed less than five pounds. They were so sweet, loving, happy. friendly, sociable & cuddly . They followed me around inside and outside my house. But weren't clingy. They loved when I worked in the yard. That was their time to explore & pretend they were dogs! They loved everyone and they. loved each other. They went everywhere with me and they stole the show. People always wanted to pet them, and they loved it! It broke my heart when they each died. The one that was left behind went looking for the other friend for a very long time. Pixie loved Sassy, and Sassy loved Pixie so much! They were adorable! I miss them to this day.

I have a little female Maltese, whose name is Aikita. I just can't take my eyes off of her, she's so cute to me it doesn't matter what she's doing or not doing. Wish I had money for a second one, so she would have a playmate.

I have a fourt year old Morkie (Maltese & Yorkshire Terrier). He is much more Maltese. He hates if we are gone, even for an hour. Teddy, is so much fun to watch he cracks us up all the time. We also have a pug and he can be a bully at times, and he definitly does not want me to share my attentio with her. Best dog I've ever had. I keep his hair short, he loves the yard and gets dirty fast! Highly recommend this breed, you won't be sorry.

Oh my! I have a Maltese mix with Bishon, he is so lovable and energetic! He loves people and the outside It’s hard to keep him clean! He thinks everybody loves him and desires the attention of everyone. We love him, he is such a smart and playful pet! He plays well all by himself. My husband let him out and takes him outsides when he return he come straight into the room and comes to my bedside to greet me faithfully every morning, then he is on with his day. You gotta love him!
I know what you mean by don't buy maltese (haha). They are the most loveable and cutest thing ever. I love my maltese! Can't stop giving her hugs and kisses!
ahh yes i also have a maltese now 4 months. Can be a bully at times 😊 she's creative because she takes out her bench cover with her own hands. She brings me a lot of joy and movement 🤗🥰

I have an all black maltipoo who acts just like this one. She is 9 months old and still quite a handful. She is funny and so sociable makes friends everywhere we go. She does not like to be alone,so you are right, you can’t get too much done. She is the love of our lives

What color is the Maltese nose the channel That I looked at the nose was black and I have heard that they are supposed to be pink? Pink or black
@@robertavasquez7431 the answer is both. I notice when they stay inside during winter their noses turn pink and in the summertime when they play in the sun their noses become black again.
Mine is a rescue. Based on her disposition and triggers, she was a puppy mill dog, taken from her mama too early, sold in a pet store, found on a street away from all residences, so she was clearly dropped off, brought to a kill shelter, and then finally rescued through a network which led her to me. No matter how much love I give her, we aren’t able to overcome her behavioral issues. I will never give up on her though. She needs me to protect all 11 lbs of terror. Please don’t adopt unless you have nothing but love, patience and money for health care!! ☮️💗

Our girls Star and Fifi were so spoiled they would not drink anything but bottled water that was fresh from the fridge (every half hour) , and they liked to eat off of spoons. We loved them so much we would give them everything they wanted!!!
Toby was my best bud and little brother. He always there for me for the past 14 years and would wait patiently for us to come back each time we go out. He passed on a month ago and due to COVID, I wasn’t there to say my goodbye or hug him one last time. Bi, you are always my little brother and I miss you lots… each and every single day 🐶

I had a beautiful maltese girl, she was just under 13 years when she passed. Her name was Mojo and she was smart, funny and the best companion anyone could ever want. Its been five years since her death and I miss her everyday. ❤🧡💛💚 She's waiting for me at the rainbow bridge...I actually had that dream about eight months after her death. She was their with many Maltese dogs and I could not find my girl. But she came running out of the multitude and she stopped at the bridge but did not cross over. I was on the other side.....it was so real.

Always had Jack Russells but 12 months ago got a Maltese. Very different natures but Maltese ‘fluffy’ is sooo cute and loving. Was a rescue from puppy mill at 5 months old and now won’t leave my side. Have to say loved the ‘apparent’ toughness of the JR. but adore the cuteness of the Maltese.

I have always had a Maltese. My last baby girl passed away 6 years ago. I miss her so much. Instead of getting another Maltese I got a Morkie” Maltese/Yorkie. I have a brother and a sister. The little girl looks just like my Maltese. She will always be a major part of my life.

We rescued a male Morkie 9 years ago. His body has some Yorkie brown mixed in with white but his face and head are all Maltese white. He is a good snuggler and loves his treats. Very protective of my wife and takes exception when I hug her. (too bad buddy!)

She is the best companion for her,
very protective, does not leave her side at any time,
even growls at me when I come into the room.
Shes very protective of her mom.😘
And goes crazy when mom comes home from her hospital visits.

Unfortunately, I had a Stroke in September of 2020. I am still paralyzed on my left side an I still can’t pick up my baby Bodhi!! He just looks at me in my wheelchair and cries!!!😢

Our female, "Betsy" will be 15 yo this Sept 2021. She's in very good health and is a typical Maltese. Which is, an awesome lil dog. We have taken good care of her by way of diet, exercise, and veterinarian appointments yearly. Regular dental cleaning is paramount for a healthy dog. We use finger scrubs with flavored dog paste, a particular drinking water additive and her teeth cleaned with our vet. every 12-18 months. Beware of sedation in dogs older than 10yo. Best wishes to you dog owners.

I love Maltese dogs. I’ve had three and all were wonderful companions. Beau is the one I have now and when he was a puppy he thought his name was “ Beau-no”. He ate three library books. That I had to buy., part of my kitchen floor and every throw pillow in the house. He did this when he was bored. I rehomed a tiny Yorkie and all his badness stopped.

My dog 🐶 SUNDAE is a Shih Tzu-Maltese mix and is my best friend 🐾
The mix breeds are usually healthier.
We owned a boy Maltese who sadly died just before his 14th birthday.
We also have a Cavalier who missed him dreadfully. Decided to rescue the next time round and we have a Shihtzu cross rescued from a Welsh puppy farm by Many Tears Animal Charity in Wales. We sent off for her DNA to be carried out and found to our delight she is quarter Maltese and see so many characteristics of our little boy Maltese in her. She is such a darling and is doing so well.
I have a Maltese (Mylie) and a Morkie (Hannah)...they are 2 months apart and will be 11 this Summer.They still act like they are puppies! Hannah is learning to drive...seriously, she watches Darryl's feet on the gas and brake when they go for rides with their dad! Mylie, likes to crawl under the passenger seat and stays there until they get where they're going. :) Hannah and Mylie cuddle with each other quite a lot and it's so cute...Mylie especially is a baby...she always has to be picked up and held...and you're right, breakfast, lunch, dinner and all the snacks available...continuously eating. Hannah forgets to eat because she's so busy running around outside or playing...when she does eat, she eats and eats and eats...but still so skinny...she's more Yorkie than Maltese and has the fine bone structure like a Yorkie whereas Mylie is solid and quite heavy...not fat...just solid. They're both adorable...they run the house...and us...but we love it! They're our world that's for sure and they never let us forget it!! We wouldn't have it any other way! Oh yes, they sleep head to head sideways and take up half of a king sized bed...they are little but they take up a lot of room that's for sure...so sweet...and extremely cute! :)

Best thing to do is try and keep the hair around the eyes as short as possible
and clean every day. I often have Kleenex with me to wipe her eyes 4 or 5 times a day. I also rede the diet could effect her tears if she eats healthy she should have less tears. They also sell products that help with the tears. The tears also take time to go away my dog took about a week for them to go away.
The elderly can give lots of attention
This makes me want a Maltese but I have a Shi Poo. Having 2 that require a lot of attn might be too much.
I have Maltese by name Pikachoo. He steals our hearts. Very sweet, naughty and very friendly and of course cutest pet ever any one can have. I love my maltese.

I have Mal-shi maltese/shitzu mix. He is the talk of our town! Such a good dog, we couldnt train him with treats he responded to praise only! He will do anything to please us. Smartest animal ever!! This one really does talk!! He stands back front paws in motion turning his head back & forth makes this deep talking sound in his throat that will go on & on....thus his name Graham cause he can really preach it!
We rescued our little Maltese and called her Minnie! She was unfriendly and firstly bonded to our other dog long before she started to bond to my husband, then, finally me! She still doesn't like to cuddle, but lay close. It's been six years. Upon my persistent picking her up and taking her to bed with us, she finally decided to do so on her own thus obviously does not exemplify typical Maltese behavior. Not sure what happened to her as a young puppy. We got her at about 18 months! She is about 6 years old now, and it has been a slow process.

My little bloke stayed with my parents as I moved house & refused to come home. They fussed over him & he became their whole life. After he passed away 11 years later they lost their wills to live to after passing away suddenly.

We had a Maltese for 16 years. One of the smartest and a very good boy.
When he was young his silky hair was to the floor. When he was older we back to a puppy cut.
