Characters like Zero I love in fighting games. Its awesome this Arc type is appearing more and more as time goes on. I wish he was Legal or returned in some way in KOF 15. His animations and voice lines and tools are so cool to me and they are cameos of other characters we know. I think that alone is badass. You got a Modern take on this Summoning type character like in FIghterZ as Ginyu with his Teammates I seen combos with Zero that just look all types of badass using your strikers in tandem with your own abilities just feels so right to me. thanks for showing this off because I honestly never knew SNK did go that hard with his changes.
It always was weird to me that he has blades sewn into the bottom Hem of His jacket it's a very innovative design and I haven't seen anything like it since
I think the reason Original Zero sounds worse in 02UM is simple - Toshimitsu Arai was simply older at that point. Only 8 years but still. The new lines he recorded for Heidern and Rugal - in the case of the latter, replacing Norio Wakamoto from the original 02 - also show a noticeable change in his vocal inflection, especially when juxtaposed to voice clips they'd recorded 10+ years earlier for KOF98.
Adding to all that, they said they wanted a higher-pitched, more gentle voice for Original Zero anyway, just because he's "meant to be a more noble character" and in 2001 he "sounded too much like a villain".
Loved every minute of it if only I was more consistent with KOF and Fighting Games in general I would've labbed him alomost every time in training mode; if only I had ppl around me to play with so we could learn together had it not been for life :
My favorite bosses KRIZALID O zero and Igniz 1:25 i agree the music suit the stage more then zero as boss 2:40 ture in kof 2001 was way better (also his voice in KOF ALL STARS was good) 4:25 yeah i always miss that lol 6:34 Glugan was sadky nerf in kof 2002 um 😅 16:45 if zero show in kof 15 he should use that combo 😂
I know that the voice is no that good but actually work becuase of the story of original zero, he was a good boss he really care when clone zero try to destroy n.e.s.t. and in orden to take is honor back fight the protagonist , rebirth krizailid and when loose He respect that and acept is destiny and i undertand the change of music... But yes the music was better
Ron, the leader of an assassin's clan named the Hizoku. He's the father of Duo Lon and Xiao Lon, both from the same clan. He's only a non-playable character.

Original Zero's voice is Heidern, Rugal and Hattori Hanzo from Samurai Shodown. his actor name is Toshimitsu Arai.
Rugal might be the reason they changed it. Didn't want two bosses with basically the same sound.

I love Zero, but i love more Krizalid with that coat.

Original Zero in 2001 had a better voice and had a better stage theme as well.
Clone Zero also had a better stage theme in 2000 than in 2002 UM.
