  • Geshe Namdak explores the nature of destructive emotions, or afflictions, as disturbances that compromise our mental peace. Using the metaphor of clouds obscuring the blue sky, he illustrates that these emotions are not inherent to the mind and thus can be eliminated.
Geshe Namdak highlights the role of reasoning in Buddhism as a tool for transforming these destructive emotions. By recognizing that our negative mental images are mere fabrications, we can dismantle the false equating of these images with reality, thereby preventing many potential conflicts. This teaching was cool.Dalai lama told in one of his teachings that anger is based on fears. However realizing anger and transforming it into a neutral emotion I mean transforming it into something not hurting is easier than stopping fears which is sometimes not possible or I have it unconscious so I don't know about all of my fears like evolutional fears for example.Transforming anger is very important otherwise it comes back and destroys ourselves or in worse case others. However sometimes expressing anger on a normal way can be a solution as well, but better keeping the balance if possible.
