Best ever start by an AFL team? Richmond v North 1995. 6 goals to nothing by the 8 minute mark!

  • The Tigers got a little help from the umpires early but this may be the best start to a match by a side ever. Can anyone think of a better one?
(and yes, they did go on to win the match!)

As a proud Tiger, Daniel I like your thinking!
On Saturday however we were only 5 goals not 6 and it took longer than 8 minutes. Statistically, I still think this game from '95 is the club house leader for best start. Last week's win was certainly more important though, I'll give you that!
      Here's for 13 in a row eh?

14 games, 26 goals according to Wikipedia Martin. Had a basketball background as I recall. He looked like a fair player for a while.

I can think of a much better one. North's first quarter against Essendon 2001. 12.1.73 to what, 2-3 goals? And without the help of the umps.

      Hey Conway Chris...
I never thought North would win that game from 2001 though - I felt Essendon would come back seeing they were on top of the ladder at that point - though I hated Essendon then, and still think they're scum.
I remember this game from 1995 though...I remember Archer's goal.
