It was last month that I took a true look at my life and got saved. All I know is the grace of God because He gave His life for me when I know I should've died. Jesus is my Lord and Savior.
Sang this at retreat this last weekend. Hallelujah - Praise God! I'm thankful that he has shown me how that I am a sinner, and that his love is the best love story I'm ever going to be a part of. God is a requirement in my life. I'm going to spend every moment of my life glorifying him.
Can't get it out of my head. I heard it for the first time at Parkside Church during the Basics Conference. What an incredible testimony and praise. Corrie Ten Boom said, "When you find that Jesus Christ is all you have, you learn that Jesus Christ is all you need." Hallelujah! All I have is Christ, Jesus is my life.
I love this song because it has great theology AND music - a combo not always found together! Thanks Sovereign Grace for making great music, and thank you Lord for saving me from my "hell-bound race."
I just heard this song for the first time at CRU. (campus Crusade for Christ) tonight, about an hour ago. It's such a beautiful song, and very touching. Hearing many people sing this together is soothing to the heart. Praise god :3
my leader suggested this song for our weekly friday meeting and this being my first time hearing this song... wow the lyrics are so deep God's fingerprint is clearly evident in this song
Psalms 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
'....As I ran my Hell-bound race...' 'Hallelujah, Jesus is my life!' This song brings me to the end of myself! I can't help but tear up when I hear this. Thank you so very much for posting! God is good, no?
I love how this song is sort of modernish but still has very deep words and meaning. Most of the songs nowadays are just like "Praise Him Praise Him Hallelujah Praise Him" over and over again. Yes we should be praising Him but your relationship with Him is so much deeper than that. They should be focusing on WHY we are praising Him. Does that make any sense? I know I sound weird.
@link1nparkEEEwarrock 1 Corinthians tells us that the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are passing away. There is no reason you need to hate a beautiful song like this or hate Christianity - other than validating that the world hates Christ and hates the notion of glorifying the almighty father due to the total depravity of fallen man and his self serving frailty.
I don't think you understand... Christ is everything to us. EVERYTHING. Nothing should matter more. Yes, according to the World we have nothing, but according to Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me." Literally, the old "me" is dead and I now live for Christ. That's why this song says "All I have is Christ." Because beside Him, everything this World has to offer is worthless.
I must say that if this is not the anthem of one's life and one claims to be following King Jesus, then that person is not a true follower who has been conquered by love and grace. Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling.
Jesus isn't a Christian's protector, he's their saviour, there's a difference. It's slight but significant. Of course I'm assuming you mean the traditional form of protector, i.e. someone who reduces the pain life can cause. Well if anything the reverse is true, Jesus fully endorses the suffering of his brothers and says that the only way to follow him is by taking up your own cross. Read the gospel of John and find out for yourself what Christ is really about, he may surprise you.
@link1nparkEEEwarrock We have the bible and fulfilled prophecies! Personally, I believe in God and Christ because of the mess I created for myself that God saved me from! I have faith, I believe, and I've taken up my cross to follow Him! He is my saviour, He is my Lord! Though I still struggle and sin, I know that God will never let me go; in Him, I have hope! My testimony is a long one so I cannot post it here but that is why I believe, because of what I was saved from!
@SeannHw this video was suggested to me. and i cannont understand you faithful people, what makes you believe? have you ever seen your God? is there proof that he exists? or you just believe what your parents' used to say when you were children? have you ever doubted the originality and reliability the bible offers you ?
@link1nparkEEEwarrock There is: the bible and fulfilled prophecies for example. Have you ever read Eusebius' "The Church History" or even Herodutus' "The Histories" has some fact that line up with events in the bible? I suggest you read them!
@link1nparkEEEwarrock "I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is."-Albert Camus Regardless, I'm not sure why you're here. Is it just you're here to troll? What makes you type in "All I have is Christ" into your search bar when you simply don't desire to enjoy it? Simply to troll. I'm not sure, but you do. Anyway, I don't just believe. I follow. I don't like to believe. I know He is.
@SpudxMuffinz why would you believe in a book full of contradictions? and why do you accept EVERYTHING that is written in it without checking if its content is parallel to logic? though i have nothing agaist christians and faithful people, nobody can give me a CLEAR explanation of his faith. I guess believing in something you dont have proof of its existence is called faith, so every single christian is a faithful.
@SpudxMuffinz and i suggest you go see zeitgeist, a 30minute video, unless you are to close-minded to see the truth. and if the video IS NOT enough proof, hands up. watch?v=m_zytOaQxYg
That movie is a lost mans foolery by trying to divert ones eyes to a lie instead of the truth and love of are savior. For those that dont him i can only beg are father to allow the devils torment to come and force those that wont except love to see the true evil and may it open there hearts to your love father. I will pray for u my brother that u may make a clear choice with open eyes.
@link1nparkEEEwarrock As far as Zeitgeist goes - google: "refuting zeitgeist be ready" and click on the first link. Zeitgeist an awful attempt at discrediting Christianity. Come on.

i love this song! my sisters and i sang it at our school, at the end of chapel many people were left in tears. Such a touching song.

wow the lyrics are so deep
God's fingerprint is clearly evident in this song
One of my most favourite songs by Sovereign Grace...
Psalms 119:50
This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
Ephesians 2:1
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
'....As I ran my Hell-bound race...'
'Hallelujah, Jesus is my life!'
This song brings me to the end of myself! I can't help but tear up when I hear this. Thank you so very much for posting! God is good, no?

Great Testimony song...

its all about love
I completely agree!
But as I ran my hell bound race indifferent to the cost you looked upon my helpless state and lead me to the cross.
@link1nparkEEEwarrock Faith is belief in the things not yet seen.
@xX95Yankees95Xx
I'm playing the piano for this song in my youth group! lol

@SeannHw obviously, because you take it for granted that "Jesus saves" or whatever. You like to believe that he is your protector

@link1nparkEEEwarrock If I combined those two, adding Christ + nothing, I'd still have more than enough.

@SpudxMuffinz but how do you know that these things will be seen? there must be proof
Sovereign Grace tries to make their lyrics as biblically accurate as possible.
