the updates: - the Fara Homidi foundation/concealer looked good throughout the day and did not become cakey/tacky like cream foundations sometimes do. But over the past week I've realized that I was using a too much at the beginning. A little bit goes a long way, especially on the parts of my face where I don't really need coverage, just color correcting. I've had the best long-lasting results with a bit of green color corrector first, and then an extremely light sweep of Fara Homidi with the brush over the whole face for the lovely blurring finish, then using my fingers to spot conceal with it. IT'S GORGEOUS - the Refy concealer has revealed much more about itself since I filmed this. What I said here is true, but there's much more to say. I'm going to do a dedicated video. Stay tuned.
Note: In looking at her website, she sells a lip brush with lid which aligns exactly with what you were concerned about on-the-go lip application without being able to wipe off
@@peach_ringz_4evz I completely agree! $58 for a lip brush is insane. But she does agree with Hannah on method of application for easy on-the-go use. Though I’d be more impressed if there was a space for it to snap into place on the compact
I personally love smaller and lesser known brands. That said, a standard foundation/complexion product holds approximately 30mls and this item contains 0.13 fluid ounces, which is about 3.8mls. I use double wear where I only need to use the smallest amount to cover my face - this means for every 1 double wear I use, I would need to repurchase the Fara Homidi face compact product almost 8 times. To calculate, double wear is $52 for a bottle. To replicate the same amount of product from Fara Homidi it would be the original compact price of $88 plus 7 refills at $48. This realistically makes the compact $424 for the same amount of product. Recently, I've found value in adding things up this way and actually checking the volume. This isn't a product designed to be amazing, it's a product designed to be expensive for a small amount of product luxurious and more of a concept of minimalism. It's at the end of the day, all marketing. It might be nice, but is it $424 nice? Just food for thought.
You should start a channel approaching luxury and mid- luxury makeup with these breakdowns. it's hard to discern between splurging on a luxury high-quality product and being scammed by an overpriced aesthetic.
@@KaytoCouchPotato It's a really interesting concept, and I think a lot of brands trust consumers do not read the mLs/grams/etc of products before purchasing. When I go shopping for food, the price per gram is always on the ticket - why is it so different for makeup? The reason is, it is a huge industry that thrives on hype, aesthetic and luxury. There are very few brands doing anything that is actually new or different, they just make it seem that way. Although new things can be exciting, in my eyes they rarely live up to the expectations of my HG tried and true products. Packaging is there to deceive us (think Sunday Riley), websites don't always show the product sizes (like we will forget?) and in an age where TikTok/Insta hype is a way to market products to consumers, many do not stop to think before impulse purchasing. It sucks brands like the one in this video tries to market themselves as luxurious, minimalist, elegant whereas its just a tiny bit of coloured fluid in a cute compact sold for the price their target demographic would pay. Yawn!
This is the feeling I was getting throughout this video broke down logically. My sense was “yeah it’s nice but is it THAT nice” … you said it much more eloquently ❤
My parents, who know almost nothing about makeup, got me the lip compact in Nude 1 (you were correct in that it is quite pink) for Christmas because they read an article about how pulling out that compact has become a virtue signal for successful business women. It really is a beautiful product, but honestly I have forgotten about it because it is such a different application and shape than what I am used to for a lip. This video has given me cause to pull it out again.

The cinnamony lip color looks amazing on you. It's packaged ambitiously with the lip primer and lipstick, but that looks like a big mess to use. You'll have to let us know whether the mode of delivery makes it too finicky for regular use.
I so enjoy watching you play with new makeup. I'm always so precious with it, especially if it was costly. This is an excellent reminder that makeup is a consumable product.
I clicked in so fast- this lip compact lives rent-free in my head and on my wishlist, but I can’t see myself buying it unless it’s so good I never need another lippie as long as I live.
As a mom of a one year old… I am super excited about these, lol. These are really beautiful and they look so natural without not doing anything or doing too much, if that makes sense. I love how practical they are too. Thank you for reviewing this! 🥰
I like to place the Fara Homidi foundation/concealer only where I need it in lieu of a full face of foundation. I’m, like you in saying it has amazing coverage and yet it still feels light and silky. I’ve worn it numerous times here in hot, very humid south Florida. It never became tacky or cakey throughout the day or evening. Loved your review! You look gorgeous.
Made it close to the end and have one more comment-the Kjaer Weis lip brush! It’s in their very lux sturdy packaging with a top, so I can truly just throw it in my bag for reapplications.
I have one from superdrug which probably cost about £3. It's a little metal case where taking the lid off and applying it to the handle end pushes up the brush. Incredibly long wearing, small to carry and I use it every day to apply from my pot of lipstick ends and broken lipstick bits. It may be because I have a narrow colour preference for lip colour (true red through cool red to crimson) but the leftover pot is regular go to over my actual lipsticks. Also use the same pot as blush, though it's exclusively lipstick.
HEAR ME OUT: The packaging is what intrigues me most... What if you buy the compact, use the entire product, and thennnn depot something like the Nars pot concealer, or a thick balm or whatevz and refill the FH compact to your liking?!
Thank you for being so inspiring. I always want to take good care of myself after watching your videos, something I forget about when I'm so busy taking care of everyone else.

And then that making you go "oooh I really really like that"... Not her exact words. Just my summary. For me, that's the earrings Hannah is wearing. I've seen them on her in a good number of videos. And they've always intrigued me. And now I'm actively looking for some like that in silver. All my jewellery is silver and I think it would look so chic and sophisticated, especially when worn alone, no necklace.
Interesting. But while I’ll pay up for excellent skin care, makeup that expensive is a no go for me. Holy cow. And…the appeal of the package is obviously different for everyone, but for me, the packaging looks like Fisher Price. 😂
I often feel this way about luxury packaging. I think Charolette Tilbury's packaging looks and feels cheap. I also once heard plastic clear packaging for Dior's eyeshadow palettes described as lux and to me.. it looks drug store.
I'm very curious how quickly you'll hit pan for the face compact. Especially if you layer for coverage. Is it actually 3.7g for both sides of the compact combined?? For $88 that's a rough value.
Love that you reviewed this lesser known brand. But it really feels like you talked yourself into this one. Which I feel like you practically never do. For that price I would be really annoyed at the product falling out of the compact so easily, and the primer getting so messy. You blamed yourself a lot for things you didn’t like about the products. Idk… I feel like at that price, the products need to deliver a lot more.
I want to take this moment to say I love your sweater! Please do a review of high quality sweaters and basic t-shirts. I want the minimalist lifestyle: Having few good pieces of clothing would last me a long time.
Obviously the pigment delivery is different, but how do you feel the finish, wear, and lightness/heaviness of this product compares to the Salt New York Sneaky Balm?
I enjoyed the review. I’m not sure I could deal with the finicky nature of the application of the compact products. As I get older, I want less on my face and I want it on quickly. Maybe if they were in stick form? But then you might not be able to control the amount dispensed. Lately it is skin tint, some sort of cream blush or bronzer, eye pencil, tinted brow gel, mascara, and lip oil/gloss/tinted balm. Concealer if I desperately need it. No contour. No highlighter. No powder. No eye shadow. No lip liner. Boring. I know. But I work from home. I want simplicity
I found the one shop that delivers to Europe, no Homini products in our Sephora.. I am tempted, very much so.. And I will buy just the refills (and save like 40% of price) and try to put the concealer into my vintage silver powder compact, I was tempted to kindly ask you for the circumference of the refill part, but I need it in centimeters anyway, so I will have it as surprise if I will push the buy button :D Lovely review! First time it got me truly excited about very expensive makeup to the point of concidering purchase.
Loved the review and your thoughts about the product. Saw this brand reviewed by another influencer I follow so glad and had been interested in watching more reviews on the brand. The lip colour looked really lovely on you as it did as a check colour.
I am so enthralled by these products and definitely want to do more digging into this brand. Thank you for introducing this lux brand! I would love to see you review any of their other products too.
I bought the Fara Homidi face compact as soon as it came to Sephora (I had been eyeing it for a while at Violet Grey but wasn’t sure of the shade). I really like it but it’s exactly the type of face coverage I usually like. What I’m a particularly big fan of is the highliter part that manages to stay shiny without being tacky. ETA I also haven’t bought the complexion brush but I believe it looks very similar to Rèphr 36 brush.
I love the face and lip on you. Less is more with this. Her lip brush works so well. I think Nude #1 would be very flattering on you. I purchased both plus a red. I am over 70 years old and this works awesome on me.
I am searching for the exact qualities as you. Im 55yo with combo/oily skin with hyperpigmentation. Because i have texture, I avoid layers of diff skin products (primer, foundation, setting powder, setting spray, etc). I want a formula that is pigmented enough to provide natural coverage to diffuse my hyperpigmentation in one thin skin like satin application. The challenge is find a shade that matches my dark tan skin. The same in lipstick, i want shine with pigmentation thats just a bit less than lipstick but in a sheer formula . Looking fwd to your end review of how the foundation wears
Hello Hannah, love your videos! I trust your judgement when it comes to reviews and I think you mention Kjaer Weis before, but a thorough review of the brand would be so interesting! They're a Scandinavian brand and they're quite conscious of very fair skin tones. Just a suggestion, take care!!
Cream foundations are elite!! You should really try the one from Mac: Studio fix tech foundation it has coverage but a natural smooth finish! its my one and only favorite foundation
It would actually be funny and kind of great if Hannah became a “MAC girl” years after always telling us she just wasn’t interested in becoming interested in the brand
Re: a used lip brush, some come with covers that double as a long handle! Ben Nye used to make one, I used it for my lip pigment concoctions all the time
What beautiful little compacts! I've never heard of this brand! Hannah are you at all worried since Rosie of Rose inc has stepped down from the brand? Lx 010 is my shade too & part of me wonders if they will change everything now that she's gone! 😢
If you’re looking for more things to potentially review I’m really curious about the new Danessa Myricks concealer! Not sure if the shade range would make it completely unrealistic for you though, pictures are so hard to assess online !
Love them you look wonderful, thank you for a wonderful review, I would like to try one or both but they are pricey I’ll need to think a bit 😉 thanks again 💜🌻✌🏻
Hannah, I need you to put together a makeup (and general life??) kit for me as the fiancée of an international classical concert pianist. I've just been thrust into this world. I am trying to be even half as classy as you so that I can interact confidently with all these ambassadors. I feel like you're the only one who can do this! 😅
I feel like the lippie is very close to Elf’s putty blush in Maldives, which they used to sell in stores (for a hot second) but now only sell online, at least in my area. It’s my favorite cheek and lip color & product-I’m quite a pale olive tone so I call it my “harlot blush” because it looks a little 18th century in the pot, but it sheers out beautifully on the cheeks and lips to give a very natural kind of historical drama movie flushed look. The elf one may be ever so slightly less rust-red and more brown-red.
Gahhhhh, I'm so bummed to learn that the lip products use coconut oil because I break out at even the slightest inclusion of said product, but this color is so stunning 😢
Watching your review and looking at the foundation product on her website, I feel this product does for your complexion what we were all hoping Jones Road would do. But Jones Road turned out too oily, messy, and weird to use.
The lip brush you need is MAC 316. It looks like a silver bullet and it comes with a cover. I keep it in my purse and use it for Les Filles en Rouje lipstick palete.
The complexion product looked so much like a filter, gorgeous finish. I am curious how it looks in natural day light, up close, so that we can see the texture of the skin? It just looked too good
Just wondering, would a tiny sponge tip applicator fit into the compact? One side primer, one side pigment? That could remove multiple barriers of friction. Loved the video ❤
Beautiful packaging! I do not use priming products but skincare therefore I would not buy the lip compact. And I am lazy with my lips and know I would not get use out of it as a brush would be needed. It is a shame and I love the idea of applying the colour with a brush but I know this not for me. The complexion product is nice yet I would not use the illuminator as it looks almost greasy to my eyes. I love the original rms illuminator which is more sturdy or Lisa Eldridge's one. The review was interesting thank you!
Amazingly detailed review, love it, huuuge thank you! Are the compact refills the same size? Hate the tomato red of the face compact and would love to use the baby blue lip compact instead for the face refill 😊
Thanks for the review! I'm curious to try these when I have more, er, "open to buy" in my makeuo/skincare budget! Question. What do you do when a product you try doesn't work? Toss it? Give it to someone? I often decide to purge barely used products and then huck them I'm my guest bathroom in hopes that someone might come along I can pass them on to. But I really just want to get rid of them...
Hannah has often discussed how she gives many gently used things to family/friends, and then I think products that can be fully sanitized are sometimes able to be donated to women’s shelters. I’m lucky to have a couple of friends who are similar but not identical in our makeup needs so if something is a little too fair pink I know who will want it, versus who will want the thing that’s a little too dark for me!
I get the feeling that this face product is not meant to be worn all over. It’s more like a spot treatment, which would be more minimalist, which sounds great because when most anybody wears a full face of make up, it never goes along with their neck and it looks like a mask! thank you for sharing it.
I was going to ask if you could use it on your cheeks and there you were applying it on your cheeks. Now my questions are the same of yours in terms of long wearing and the amount of product vs the money invested. I guess I need to see this video through.
Do you think it would be feasible to purchase just the refill and store it in an empty palette like Salt New York or something? Or do you think it would dry out in something like that? Thanks for your video! I am very interested but the refill is more my price range. It is definitely expensive.
I adore you! I know you are beyond busy! If you please moved the black cordage from the lower right corner that would be great, I perpetually keep think that it is a spider 😵💫
Hannah the lips match the bag behind you, a bit orangey. I’m not sure I like the blue packaging, I’d have to see it in person, which I am not because those products are not sold in Mexico’s Sephora. Maybe in Saks? Sometimes I wish you had dark spots so you could do some recommendations, how to spot cover those 😂 and get away with not wearing high coverage makeup.
So have you heard of Les Filles en Rouje concealer palette? Also super minimal - I'm so curious of how you feel about it! I'm obsessed with her lip palette and have high hopes but I'd love your opinion!
You are not. The amount of product is ridiculous and the price is steep. I like the packaging yet not enough to pay for impractical formulas. I wear lipstick and a skin tint everyday and prefer a more traditional formula for both products. I am not interested in fussing with brushes everyday and the "lipstick" looked quite messy when applied with fingers. Good marketing, claim to be "clean" and interesting packaging. And you pay a lot for it.

I love the face and lip on you. Less is more with this. Her lip brush works so well. I think Nude #1 would be very flattering on you. I purchased both plus a red. I am over 70 years old and this works awesome on me.
I absolutely love that lip color!
I actually LOVE the color of the complexion product on your face! Something about a bit more red there makes you look more lively, and very natural.
Have you tried Salt New York's Sneaky Balm or concealer?
Hello Hannah, love your videos!
I trust your judgement when it comes to reviews and I think you mention Kjaer Weis before, but a thorough review of the brand would be so interesting! They're a Scandinavian brand and they're quite conscious of very fair skin tones. Just a suggestion, take care!!
Hannah has reviewed some KW products before xx
Cream foundations are elite!! You should really try the one from Mac: Studio fix tech foundation it has coverage but a natural smooth finish! its my one and only favorite foundation
It would actually be funny and kind of great if Hannah became a “MAC girl” years after always telling us she just wasn’t interested in becoming interested in the brand
These would look great on your vanity next to that Gucci palette Joe bought you.
Those are very pretty and lux looking 😊
Re: a used lip brush, some come with covers that double as a long handle! Ben Nye used to make one, I used it for my lip pigment concoctions all the time
Veeery interesting! For the refy, the colour 03 might work!
Gorgeous lip shade 🙌🏼🤗
Hey Hannah. I would love ove love to see 'Whats in my bag' video. I want to see what my dear utube friend Hannah carries day to day :)
I saw this on Sephora the other day and was so intrigued! So excited to see your review!
This is wonderful! How is it compared to Salt NY?
Yay a Hannah video. ♥️♥️♥️
I’m super intrigued by this - do let us know the wear down edit* never mind. I just saw your pin. LOL
Hannah you are gorgeous 🤍
this looks really interesting
“I could build muscle lifting it”😂
Gahhhhh, I'm so bummed to learn that the lip products use coconut oil because I break out at even the slightest inclusion of said product, but this color is so stunning 😢
Excellent video!!
Hannah: "I love these new Rephr brushes"
Me: still mad because they're concept brushes that I also bought and loved, but now they've changed them
The complexion product looked so much like a filter, gorgeous finish. I am curious how it looks in natural day light, up close, so that we can see the texture of the skin? It just looked too good
I have a lipstick brush from bare minerals that retracts back inti itself so that you can use it on the go without making a mess!
I feel like a possible solution to the finger issue is to use the leftover on the cheeks? Like lips first then the residue on the cheeks
This is what I do (with a different product) every morning 😊
Just wondering, would a tiny sponge tip applicator fit into the compact? One side primer, one side pigment? That could remove multiple barriers of friction.
Loved the video ❤
Lip + bag in background = color satisfaction
Bought the concealer and then came right to RUclips 😂
How did you feel the foundation did over the day? Did it settle into lines and wrinkles?
Thanks for the review! I'm curious to try these when I have more, er, "open to buy" in my makeuo/skincare budget!
Question. What do you do when a product you try doesn't work? Toss it? Give it to someone? I often decide to purge barely used products and then huck them I'm my guest bathroom in hopes that someone might come along I can pass them on to. But I really just want to get rid of them...
Hannah has often discussed how she gives many gently used things to family/friends, and then I think products that can be fully sanitized are sometimes able to be donated to women’s shelters.
I’m lucky to have a couple of friends who are similar but not identical in our makeup needs so if something is a little too fair pink I know who will want it, versus who will want the thing that’s a little too dark for me!
ooh, it looks like Babybel cheese
I get the feeling that this face product is not meant to be worn all over. It’s more like a spot treatment, which would be more minimalist, which sounds great because when most anybody wears a full face of make up, it never goes along with their neck and it looks like a mask! thank you for sharing it.
Hi Hannah 😊
the thumbnail image of the product reminds me of Doraemon ^_^;
Look how cute you look with a ponytail!!! Sorry if you hate cute, but that's what you look!
Any chance you could give quick thoughts on the cotton Babaa products?
At this price point, these products leave the 'make up' category for the 'status signifiers' one.
I was going to ask if you could use it on your cheeks and there you were applying it on your cheeks. Now my questions are the same of yours in terms of long wearing and the amount of product vs the money invested. I guess I need to see this video through.
beautiful video 💃🏻
Do you think it would be feasible to purchase just the refill and store it in an empty palette like Salt New York or something? Or do you think it would dry out in something like that? Thanks for your video! I am very interested but the refill is more my price range. It is definitely expensive.
Hannah, not related to this video at all but wanted to tell you anyway. Covergirl clean fresh tinted lip balm.
I adore you! I know you are beyond busy! If you please moved the black cordage from the lower right corner that would be great, I perpetually keep think that it is a spider 😵💫
But will it run out fast? It looks so small 🥺
In future, could you please get a closer angle of your face when applying the makeup? It’d be helpful to better see the product
Love this review! How does the complexion product compare to blunder cover?
Hannah the lips match the bag behind you, a bit orangey. I’m not sure I like the blue packaging, I’d have to see it in person, which I am not because those products are not sold in Mexico’s Sephora. Maybe in Saks?
Sometimes I wish you had dark spots so you could do some recommendations, how to spot cover those 😂 and get away with not wearing high coverage makeup.
🌸
So have you heard of Les Filles en Rouje concealer palette? Also super minimal - I'm so curious of how you feel about it! I'm obsessed with her lip palette and have high hopes but I'd love your opinion!
im sold.
💛
I feel like I'm the only person who thinks the Fara Homidi products look mediocre and extremely overpriced.
Everyone has different tastes though 🤷🏻♀
You are not. The amount of product is ridiculous and the price is steep. I like the packaging yet not enough to pay for impractical formulas. I wear lipstick and a skin tint everyday and prefer a more traditional formula for both products. I am not interested in fussing with brushes everyday and the "lipstick" looked quite messy when applied with fingers.
Good marketing, claim to be "clean" and interesting packaging. And you pay a lot for it.
🎉
