Sukamuljo's style of provoking opponents r actually from the badminton Legend Sigit Budiarto, it's purpose is just to provoke the rival's anger, so they become unstable n inconsisten on playing. But yea i feel sorry for those who become the victim of it😭, kinda sad to see other players being provoked
Good video but i see some misjudgments here and there. Sukamoljo and Gideon have always been very expressive. Psychological gestures are also very common among athletes even the top players actually, Boe or Conrad for example. It's a natural reaction in competitive environment. It is up to the opponent whether it's provoking or not. When the opponents take it too seriously, most cases it just does them harm, got mentally drained to their disadvantage.
Right? People get surprised of the idea of psywar although they know every player plays with their body, mind and soul. Kevin Sukamuljo is chill about that, like after the game he'd just shake hands and move on. One time he did one of the antics too far and got a yellow card but he received it without arguing. He'd do anything to win and if he'd cross the line then so be it. I once saw the moment after the game when a player still held grudges and even refused to shake Kevin's hand😅. It just proved that 'the trick' worked.
7:39 actually sukamuljo did not provoke you, he really don't know that it was out. That's why gideon said "out out out out" and sukamuljo stopped then looked at you 😂

Good commentary. I’m sad that BKA chose to split Choi/Seo. They have the potential to achive big things together. About Sukamuljo’s antics, he did that because he was annoyed by the loooong services. One of the things that usually triggered his antics is the delaying by the opponents. As an example, at Hylo Open 2021. He was chill and nice to Jomkoh/Kedren but did stuff like airswings to Lundgaard/ Thyrri because the later done some delaying, regardless if they did that intentionally or not. They used to be disturbed too much by it (the delaying and loooong services) to the point that their annoyance and dislike was very readable on their faces and gestures. But they’re handling it better nowadays and more patient.
Can do a review of the matches btw Lee Yong Dae/late Jung Jae Sung and Cai Yun/Fu Hai Feng (e.g . 2009 WC, 2012 all england final). Epic rivalry between both pairs. 👍
You're right. You got the title of "service assassin" from that match. And got many haters, including me 😂 but it was a great great match. You also do the psywar tho, its okay. It was a really good match. And im so relieve that you never won any match anymore agains The Minions. Seung Jae is a great back player its so sad that we cant see him on court for the time being.

저도 그경기 보고 최솔규 선수에 대한 인식이 안좋았었는데... 영상속 김기정 선수께서 확인해 주셨듯이 정작 프로 선수들끼리는 그런 인식이 전혀 없나보네요. 경기를 위해 충분히 그럴 수 있다는점 알게 되었습니다.
