People who think her singing Abigaille dozens of times (without the required low register and all the accuracy and ease in florid passages, though she's good enough in it) is just right for her voice and not damaging it at all, but a few Turandots will destroy her voice immediately... What do these people think? Turandot sounds just right for her. People forget that this was an acclaimed role of Lotte Lehmann, Rosa Raisa, Anna Roselle, Bianca Scacciati, Zinka Milanov - not just Wagnerian sopranos.
@SuperMagren I don't her like either, BUT my point is just that it is obvious that those predicting her Armageddon because she is singing Turandot are making way too much ado about nothing. If singing Odabella, Abigaille and Lady Macbeth countless times for years didn't destroy her, it won't be some Turandots that will do it. I also think she is overhyped, she was actually much better 10 years ago, but even then she had some serious problems, now she is at best serviceable. But that doesn't negate the fact that Turandot is a role that is *not* totally unfit for her type of voice. That's all.

So glad she is finally getting the opportunity to sing Turandot in NYC.
Long overdue.
Magnifique! Bravissima!
Beautiful! So powerful , amazing . Brava! Reminds me of the late Dimitrova.
Bravissima la nostra soprano LIUDMILA MONASTYRSKA !!!!! Gordimsia vami !!!
She is just amazing :D
Finally, we have found the Turandot of our times...Looking forward to hearing more of her in this role in the big theatres.
Now this is excellent in her voice!
Good
No chestvoice. Lacks clarity and core.
Voice gets woofy without squillo.
Where do you think she needs to use chest voice in THIS aria?

Problem is she’s terrible.

Where is she now? Gone with the wind?
Still very much around! She's singing Turandot at the Metropolitan opera this spring.

Gobble, Gobble, Wobble, Wobble. (And she also gets half a bar behind at the beginning.)
I hope she stops singing this role, it can only hurt her voice.
She actually does avoid this role now. She told in the latest interview that this part was not good for her voice.
@@TheLalangue That's interesting. I wonder why she's taken it on at the Bolshoi and the Met.

Don’t understand sorry.
