For clarification - it is probably more time efficient to go straight for each stronghold and taking them over, instead of working around them. But, that requires playing games on All-Star or higher, which can be scary for some. My method makes it so you only have to play on Rookie and Veteran by the end. Hope this helps!
I've done a TON of Conquest. The CPU won't attack unless they have one MORE than what you have. So, if they have 2 and you have 1, you're good to go, because the actual battle would be 1v1 (since they have to leave one behind), and they won't risk it. This leaves you a lot more room to expand early. Once they get 3 fans, just put 2 in the surrounding areas and you're good, and so on.
I wish I could like this video 10 times. This channel is the only Show channel I watch. No clickbait, no cartoon character stuff. Talking like a regular human being, making stuff easy to understand. It took a while but tonight I got most of the territories and will start on those strongholds tomorrow. Thank you, you're a legend.
Something I haven't seen anyone mention, you get missions from team affinity for each of the 42 players and the players from the gold packs in that division. Worth 4 points each, you can get I think 36 ta points if you grind those missions while doing this conquest. I did that and finished the AL west, nl central and should finish the nl west the same way. Just doubles up on your grinding.
I became very efficient at doing the U.S. Map. Best way to do the Map: go to Colorado, when you attack the 5 with your 10 (one left behind makes 9), make sure you keep all 9; just restart if you don't, sometimes takes a few minutes. Then when attacking the 1 with your 8 (you leave one behind), make sure to keep all 8, if you lose one: restart. Then if you have all 8, circle all the way around Colorado but leave the last spot empty, then diagonally go downward toward Arizona until you can't go anymore. Next turn allocate 1 at the top lefthand side of Colorado, 1 at your homebase, and 1 next to your homebase. If you have 4 allocation, put 1 down at Arizona. At your homebase move that one forward toward the east, move the one next to the base downward toward Kansas, if your one survived at Colorado, move that anywhere. Rinse and repeat. One wants to prevent Kansas from getting to Colorado, you want to stop Minnesota from branching out, and you want to stop Arizona from expanding; with Arizona, allocate toward Texas to stop Texas from branching out. In 3 or 4 turns you'll have a good portion of the map to fill in. If wanting to play all games on Rookie or Veteran, this is what you attack with: team home bases allocation: 9-12, your allocation 55 exactly. 13: 56, 14: 69, 15: 73, 16: 76, 17: 80, 18: 85, 19: 90, 20: ?, 21-24: 99. One should play all 30 teams at those allocations and win 99% of all games. 25+, Rookie is locked out, and it's Veteran though I haven't played Veteran since MLB 21 in Conquest.
you are the man brotha, was really hoping someone on YT would make a conquest breakdown video like this to make sure I was doing this most efficiently (quite a painful process tbh)
For clarification on conquest to steal fans you don't NEED to click on a stronghold, you just have to press X or A while in the steal fans phase. Your cursor can be anywhere on the board.
Great vid! One thing I have noticed is that territories never get attacked as long as the surrounding territories have one less fan (2vs3, 3vs4, etc). Not a big deal but can save you some fans early on not having to reinforce territories that border a rival one with 2 fans
I just started playing this game in late July (Xbox One), my first time playing "The Show 21" (and the game series in general), don't have multiplayer, or anything; just not for me. Anyway, I started doing Conquest a month ago and completed everything but the U.S. map. I hate the game "Risk". Hated playing it in the 1980s when I was a kid (I'm 45) and Conquest reminds me of "Risk". Though "Risk" may have been more fun with baseball games within it. Anyway...this is the 3rd video I have seen on doing this map and the most informative on how to beat it. Thanks.
Thank you for the walkthrough. This is pretty intimidating for me being a new player. I think I have good grasp on this now. I was playing all the games lol. Was losing interest quickly.
My personal tactic was to go straight after the Mariners, easy team and you get natural borders, then just go south and reinforce where needed. After you get the entire west coast just go east and take out everything. You might lose your original stronghold but it shouldn’t matter too much because that’s only one more 3-inning game.
I think it should be noted, an 89 Pujols will be usable for a very short time in this game. I would hate for someone who is new to the game to dedicate 8-10+ hours thinking they are getting an end game legend. There will also be a better Pujols released later on at some point. I’m doing the us conquest to grind parallels, pick up some hidden rewards and because I’m a sick man. It’s just a lot of time to spend when you can literally play three moments and get a Solak who rakes. Just a thought.
When reinforcing territories near CPU territories, reinforce up to one behind the CPU, they never attack with 2 so say they have 3 on a territory make all adjacent territories 2 and they won’t attack, 4 make yours 3 and so on
I finished the USA conquest map yesterday. I took a different approach: I stacked all my reinforcements in a single tile and made a beeline for each stronghold. Played each game on All-Star and knocked out all the strongholds around turn 12. Took another 10-15 turns to fill in the rest of the map. I was able to reinforce at the furthest point of attack (i.e. furthest tile away from my base) even when the CPU broke my link to my home base, so I think they changed that mechanic from 20.
@@cbrevmlb either way, helpful video! The USA conquest is pretty daunting so I’m glad you broke it down. I only went for it because Pujols is my favorite player!
Awesome video!! I'm doing the USA map now and I beat all the AL East teams stronghold but its saying that I still have 1 left to beat. Do you know if this is a glitch and I'm just going to have to restart?
When youre in the conquest tab (where you can view all the territories) Press triangle (on ps3) or Y (on xbox). That'll pop up the goals. You most likely still need to steal fans to complete the AL East Affinity. Hope this helps 🤙👍
ADVICE PLEASE: I have about 100k stubs and have a couple Team Affinity players. Should I save these stubs and keep grinding or is there anyone worth buying in the marketplace? Since its early in the cycle is everyone saving their stubs for better cards to come out, or no? Thank you for any help!!
I’ve never tried to save all of the strongholds to the end. I follow the same route but I take strongholds right away. Any idea which was is most efficient?
Trust me it is worth it to do the reinforce tip he said you will have your route broken so many times if you don’t reinforce and it will take many more turns it took me about 50 last year to take the map just because of that
Cbrev I'm so confused I was playing the world map and it wasn't letting me reinforce and I had 60 fans on one spot so I restarted my game to see if that would fix it and it basically took my spot and gave it to the twins so they had a 60 fan spot.
No lifed it and I think it took me like 15-20 hours to complete for Pujols. Looking back, I wish I would have invested that time into Showdowns as the Pujols card is great and you get a ton of packs and stubs but it was very boring
what would brew do 1? so many new players. teach them man.... start the series ASAP. its so fun. And let me tell something to new players. Watching CBREW and his advises I have reached World Series in MLB 20. Cheers.
I think this is pretty much a fool-proof method, but it’s far from ideal and some of it is simply a waste. Main differences are that you should attack strongholds whenever possible. It allows you to create a network to reinforce more of your territory, but more important, after another team is “knocked out”, they no longer gain fans. The only real mistake though is reinforcing territories to match an opponent with 2 in a slot. The CPU won’t attack unless they have 3 or more in any given space. Doesn’t hurt either unless you leave a stronghold open. Should be using them to expand your territory further. Big timesaver.
