That's interesting. Introverts are not said to take a step back and expect people to make friends. Introverts do participate actively in building networks but they are just slower, more cautious and more deliberate about it.

@Karen Introverts are definitely not fond of large social events but can certainly reach out and invite a person or small groups of people to small social gatherings eg tea, a hike, lunch etc. This notion that an introvert has no agency, is passive and simply waits for others to reach out is false.
@Karen If introverts are as helpless and as passive as depicted here, we would not have all those lists of presidents who are introverts etc. Introversion is not a disability. It is simply a different, more independent and reflective way of being, which implies different ways of approaching social interaction in keeping with one's personality.
@Karen My point was and still is that it is incorrect to believe that introverts by default wait for others to befriend them. They do initiate social contact that can lead to relationships or friendships but prefer not to do it at some large mixer etc.

Please please bring back life in the single lanes even if it's the last one😭 I attended life in the single lanes by mistake😂😂( I was 19 then....in 2019). It was on the 30th of November. I was coming from my bestfriend's event at around 10:00 pm and my crush had offered to drop me home. I told him to drop me at the Junction mall( I had just met him and it wasnt the wisest thing to show him where I lived). It was raining cats and dogs so I decided to enter Junction and stroll while I waited for the rains to stop. I first went to the washroom and touched up my lipstick ( deep down I didn't want to go back home yet)
I even called my bestfriend to ask her if she thinks I could go for Nairobi fest in race course 😂Joe Boy was performing so it was a big deal. I don't party a lot so we ( my bestfriend and I) agreed that I would be out of place in racecourse 😂plus I didn't even have money for the ticket.
So I kept on strolling determined not to go home early. As I approached the exit near the courtyard, I started seeing people that I see on TV,the closer I got,the more public figures I saw. I said hi to some of them,some I just walked past them.
Then I heard Bien's voice from afar. The closer I got near the exit into the courtyard,the more I could hear his voice. In my head I was like isnt that my husbands voice😂😂what is he doing here and the entire Nairobi is in racecourse. Then finally I saw him on stage,with @misskihoro😭😭. I didn't know what they were doing but I knew I was in the right event. I immediately texted my sister and told her i'm not going home,she should just lock the door and go to bed. I squeezed myself into the tent(or whatever protected us from the rains) and I got a pretty decent seat I think a few rows from the back
The vibes just felt right. It's the perfect évent for people who just like to chill and enjoy good vibes and banter all night. So many lovely people went on stage. I remember Xenia Manasseh,Noel Nderitu,Bien ofcourse and so many lovely people on stage. Patricia's stage prescence was just graceful. I couldnt get enough of her.
Just like that,it was already 1:0 0 am. I couldnt believe the show had ended. I watched the sound guys set down,pack everything and leave😭😭😭😭😭 I have never been to a live show that great.
Fastforward. Now i'm 23 and I believe I can save up for a ticket. Please bring life in the single lanes back😭😭😭😭
