- No spoilers will be given to you out of surprise. The results and score are toward the end of this video, thus, I will not make any remarks on the outcome.
Oddly enough, Universal Sports claimed their content was in this video again, when it obviously wasn't. They don't have the power to block the video worldwide, but they've only done this to both of the videos of Russian gymnasts...hmm...

Edit: Sorry, I've changed the video preview image as I left while the video was uploading and never came back until hours later. The preview video still image will no longer spoil the results (maybe not on mobile devices, unfortunately halfway in this video is her score). Спорт
No one in the entire arena thinks Weiber deserved it. Some Americans always say "you're only saying that because you're Russian" but no, the entire world knows there is so much politics involved in judging gymnastics
Lol even the americans prefer her over wieber
@@misoginainternalizadaopres7131 am American, can comfirm. Wieber was forgettable.
tbh I wish Yao Jinnan didn't fall from beam in the AA final, because if she didn't she would have gotten gold instead of bronze and the Wieber-Komova argument wouldn't exist haha.
If I had the ability to grant one gymnast a do-over of one competition, I think it would be a really hard decision between Yao's beam set from this competition and Maroney's 2012 vault final. I'm a huge fan of Yao (not necessarily for any particular reasons, I just find her extremely compelling to watch and I just like her personality) and it breaks my heart that she's not 2011 AA champion. All she had to do was stay on the beam, even if she didn't hit perfectly, and she would have won.
I think I would grant the do-over to Maroney. There is nobody who has ever been more of a lock for a title and it's heartbreaking that she didn't get it, especially since the sexual abuse she was suffering in London came to light. I really believe she would've won had she not been abused prior to the competition.
Even if Aliya had been absolutely PERFECT on all 4 events at the American cup, the judges at the SCAM cup would have found some way to put Wieber in front of her. It's in the rules of the cup that an American HAS to win. I adore Aliya and Viktoria and I honestly think that Vika should have won gold here and in the Olympics, but that's a different story.
Watching this routine after the Olympics makes me realize how much Vika improved since Tokyo. Think about it: in less than one year, her score increased by 0,767. To pass from 14.333 to 15.1 is definitively a big improvement. I'm proud of her and will always support her.
It's been almost two years yet I still can't stomach all of this. Her score was quite generous, but it doesn't matter since Wieber got overscored too.
Politics played a huge role in determining the winner yet again. She just needed one extra tenth from one of the judges - and considering this judge's score counted - to tie Wieber for gold! I'm not saying that Komova should've gotten some extra gift ; it's that the judges seemed to want Wieber to win in a way that wouldn't cause controversy.
i love ksenia's expression, it's like "what the fu~"
You know the CoP doesn't work when Aly comes fourth with a horrible UB routine
0:53 her triple twist was soooo good
I also like the part at 1:56 where Viktoria shakes hands briefly with Jordyn Wieber ! It shows that even though you may be on different teams, you can still show good sportsmanship !
true- there is also a wonderful moment at 2015 Worlds (bars EF I think) where she hugs Gabby Douglas.
The female announcer paid Viktoria the ultimate compliment at 2:11 when she said that Viktoria has some similarities to Nastia Liukin in terms of being a gymnast.
Komova was asked her favorite gymnast and said she liked Nastia
Vicky, you're world champion, in our hearts ! You deserved to win, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH !! ♥
The COP have changed since the 2012 quad, so I don't know the point value she lost, but i'm fairly certain either the double turn with the leg up was either devalued to a single turn and then deducted heavily for way over-turning OR she was given the double but heavily deducted for CLEARLY not making it all the way around with the leg vertical. Even the announcers pointed this out. The rules are the rules. Either way, she fell out of the skill, and thus would have had significant deductions. She was way out of control. Her D score isn't high enough to absorb too many cuts to it. Then, there is the way low landing on the last tumbling pass plus the huge step. Based on the COP, the floor score was just. Jordyn had D scores to make up for her form errors. Komova did not.
Wieber seems to have done just fine with that shitshow of a bars routine, but Komova gets murdered for a goddamn spin?
She probably only lost .1-.2 in execution for that turn. She would probably only lose .3 or less in execution for that turn in this CoP. You are really overestimating turn deductions.
PURE BULLSHIT! It hurts my soul just to watch it :/ How did they gave it to freakin Wieber!?
She had a pretty low chest on landing, a deduction that cost her the win it's as simple as that, I live Komova but you always seem to be commenting on how the winner didn't deserve( Jordyn here, Gabby on an olympic video) it it's pretty pathetic.
+xxvJTvxx yes, it wasn't her best routine, but the judges were really hard with her. Jordyn was really over scored
She should have won....
All of her scores seem fair. Its just that the American gymnasts were inflated.
I love Jordyn but this was a clear robbery, damn. Even worse than the 2012 AA.
reguardless of who should've won, this was the most beautiful floor routines i've ever seen. truly inspiring
Vika is so graceful especially at the beginning and the arm motion with her head. And before the second tumble. I love her choreography and her triple twist. It just floats. And the lack of symmetry is beautiful.
Really nice floor exercise routine by Viktoria, but I especially like the part at 1:11.She's so nice and pretty it's impossible not to like her !
I'm an American and I prefer this more classically trained style to what we do now.
i think komova is just being real of what she felt that time ... and i think its because of the judges... but none the less love both of them , wieber for her dynamism and komova for her artistry.. love them both .. but if i were viktoria i would've accepted the silver whole heartedly... she is still young and she has the time to prove to everybody who is the best.. and guys lets just wait and see who wins in LONDON.. it will be a fantastic meet!! PEACE ^_^
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Christine's comments on the American's style of performing vs. Russia's style of performing were priceless throughout TF and AA! She's finally brought them out to the public!
@ChainChomp2 I really need to watch your full uploads because she really is hysterical when she's not even trying to be. I only watched a few videos so far =/. And I definitely agree with her saying even Wieber knew Komova had won.
@LMA629 So what if she cried? Doesn't mean she cried like a baby, and what, do you expect her to be good grace to the judges who screwed her over? She wasn't protesting Jordyn, but the judges. If you bothered reading around instead of being so self-centered about treating Jordyn like a goddess then you'd have known that Komova said she cried because she lost by just about the smallest margin, and wouldn't have cried if she lost by falling or by several tenths, and by another country.
her landings are so light! it's like she's a feather!
Came back to watch the choreo and listen to the music because yaaaas
her passes are so beautiful and graceful, she shouldv'e won gold in london. her flips, her cartwheels just perfect. and shes really beautiful. gives her body to the sport. shes gonna feel this when shes 35,
An ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) is one of 4 major ligaments in the knee.
Pah, Vika's more graceful than Liukin! Even Christine knows Viktoria really won! Haha, she thinks everyone in this arena thought Viktoria won. Thanks for uploading ChainChomp2.
Komova is the champion.
She should of won the Olympics as well!
I honestly thought after this routine {though there were mistakes} that she was going to win. I really felt the emotion of both Jordyn and Vika
@concreto20 Fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing this information with the world! You have cheered me up beyond belief! My only question is what "precionaron" means, haha!
i think the main deductions in komova's routines were the spins. the leg was down before the spin was finished. she can also improve her double tuck and not jump. but, great routine.
Perfecttt
Its something in your knee, and if you tear it its a very difficult injury to recover from.
@aNoifmYg391 Sorry, I just meant her 2011 routine. However, Komova did say in an interview that she has skills to add on bars. Since she said "skills" (plural) and not "a skill", I'm guessing she could possibly talking about her piked Tkachev that she competed once last year. Or possibly her toe-on Tkachev (Ray) that she competed in 2008 (year?). Also, I bet Viktoria could easily pull off a Fabrichnova dismount. If I'm not mistaken, with an upgraded Tkachev and the Fabrichnova, she'd have a 7.0.
@GymnasticsFan1144 Thanks !
Everyone always says Wieber beat Komova fair and square, but they forget that at this point Komova is still recovering from injury. Anyway win it when it counts Komova! London 2012!!!
BEHOLD! 2012 AA champion! :)
I don't know about other quieter gymnastic fans... but i'm finding reading the comment arguments on who's the better gymnast, jordyn or viktoria quite entertaining! Viktoria is really artistic and graceful and Jordyn is really powerful, to be quite honest, they both remind me of nastia liukin and shawn johnson
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Do you know where i can find a record of her 7.3/7.4 beam routine ?
@Planetimage2 Actually, when they do their full difficulty, Komova wins on every event except vault where they tie. She's gotten a 7.4 on beam, a 6.9 on bars (I think because of her piked Tkachev), and is capable of a 6.1 on floor.
Okay thanks :)
No. The Olympic "throne" belongs to whoever performs best that day. It's not a coronation, it's not reserved for whoever is the favorite, it is *earned*--that day--by the gymnast who performs the best under pressure, be they American, Russian, Romanian, Chinese, Czech, Hungarian, Brazilian, or another nationality.
@gymnasticsfan14 Continued. Please explain Jordyn's "6 tenths" only on landing deductions. On her double double, she had a huge hop, and it was uncontrolled. That's -0.4. The triple twist had a large hop. That's -0.3. For the landing on the 2.5 + front layout, she had legs separated on landing, one foot out upon landing, step out, off line. That's -0.7. So I honestly have no idea how you only found .6 off on landings alone when right there is 1.4 off.
@aNoifmYg391 I don't think you did. By now, I'm pretty confident she has a DTY and full difficulty on bars and possibly on beam (minus the dismount). I say she's probably at or close to full floor difficulty.
sorry but don't even compare wieber and Vika lol.. Vika was by far the best gymnast in the world back then and don't give me all that "she messed up in both aa finals and didn't deserve gold" bs bc if judges actually gave her extra points for aesthetics and pointed toes she would have won both times. as she should have. both Douglas and wieber were great but they did not have the full package you would want in a dream gymnast - Vika had it all
she didn't quite do the number of spins she was supposed to, she was a little under rotated.
@coconutmilkshakeXD But the thing is, when Wieber and Komova do full difficulty, Komova has higher start values on every event except vault where they tie. Beam, Komova can have up to a 7.3/7.4 depending on which skills she uses (she's done a routine rated at this level before). Floor, she can have a 6.1 if she puts in her double layout in place of the double tuck. On bars, well, she can have even more difficulty than she already does. Same vault. Komova has better execution too.
MY sweet love.
@soberanis100 I do think so! I wish there were more commentators like her, or could express their opinions while respecting others like she does instead of bashing them...
@sqekcx Are you implying that all these people saying Wieber should have won have photographic memories of the code?
@coconutmilkshakeXD I agree, or at least that's what it was like in Tokyo. In London, it might be a different story. I venture to say that it could be possible for Komova to win by about/close to a point if both Wieber and Komova hit.
@gymnasticsfan14 What I think you're forgetting is that there is more to deduct on all four of her routines besides her floor deductions. And there's more to deduct in just one floor routine than landings. I'm not sure why you deducted on her split leap 1/1. Judges wouldn't do that. Also, you can't deduct 5 tenths on her spin. That's why her D score was lowered. It would be .1 off for being uncontrolled. And the last pass is .6 off for flexed feet, low landing, lunge forward, under-rotated. CONT
@coconutmilkshakeXD I agree, and if Bross and Mustafina get back to full health It would be a Carly Patterson and Svetlana Khorkina moment in London as well. Although I believe there isn't anyone out there who has a comparison with Mustafina but Khorkina is possibly as close as we can get.
Whatever happens.. her moves are still graceful and almost perfect without that little mistake in the end. I love this part 1:08
She means that the spins aren't completely around!
@ChainChomp2 I know!! She says things fair and square yet she was always respectul towards USA gymnastics, her comments on any gymnast are always spot on! Don't you think?
Can somebody explain what went wrong with that spin?
@aNoifmYg391 Planned. Just some minor ankle surgery. Quoted from the Viktoria Komova Online website: "Due to minor ankle surgery Vika underwent 2 weeks ago, she won't be competing at the Russian Championship. Her recovery is going well and although there's no guarantees, she will likely be recovered on time for the Euros."
@BontasFan And that is why everybody wants the 10.0 system back! Everybody wants to see a gymnast who walks through the competition flawlessly through out the competition to win but with the current system it is all about difficulty and they take deductions from the set barrier which is the start value. If it was the 10.0 system neither of these gymnasts would of won let alone medal.
she lost her leg up, and didn't finished the double turn....so then she lost part of her d-score (but in y oppinion i think it was just a deduction)
She was robbed twice. Thank god Nastia competed for the US and not Russia, if she had competed for Russia, they would've have given gold to Shawn even though Nastia deserved it. It was close, both here and in London for Komova, but she should have won both. Commentators and reference judges agree. Just NBC, of course but they have always been awful anyway.
Have you watched London? I have no words for Komova's vault and beam other than "she just gave up." I wish Komova had won but she was not the better gymnast on that day in London.
Komova's beam was beautiful at olympics. She only had a wobble on the tuck front and VERY slightly on the Arabian.
Komova had wayyy more errors on beam and floor at these Worlds than Wieber did
rusgymqueen lesenkia no need for profanity. Come on.
rusgymqueen lesenkia you really need to calm down
@concreto20 I am totally agree with you, US coaches and commentators are cry babies. The Russina girl was good enough to win this championship.
@concreto20 Jelly Americans marked your comment as spam...I've restored it
Sigh, Komova had another surgery two weeks ago and as a result, we won't see her at Russian Nationals this week and possibly not at Euros either...
Blind robbery. Only things that come close are 2012, 1997 beam finals and that laughable and embarrassing 4 way tie in 2015. How unfortunate that the FIG seem intent on holding Vika back from being the great that we all know she is.
@aNoifmYg391 I agree. She should just do the 1/2 right from cast with her kip. I'm not sure about this one /watch?v=3LWRfG-tn1g, but these following videos seem to be her best and they all hit handstand or are only .1 deductions as opposed to .3. /watch?v=HvTAZ0658cA /watch?v=7PPWd-xloRE /watch?v=8EaEv0CQRiQ.
@liukin95 I think Komova and Musty go could either way or could've in 2010. With Vika's new bar set, I think theat she'll be a bit more challenging to beat. And I agree, London will be huge for Russia will Grishina and the two. Possibly another medal for Afanasyeva? Iordache (I believe it's with an "I") is incredible and deserves to win a medal with her talent. Romania's star. I agree, Ferrari deserved FX gold in 2010 and I really want her to get FX bronze (if she gets any medal, that'll be it).
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 mm.... not to sure about that, I mean, Jordyn does have a higher start value on most events... but I guess it could be a shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin story
Does that mean she didn't finish her spins?
How do you know that?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 lolz, yeah, i can see that, it's interesting reading the arguments from both sides, some saying Jordyn is the better gymnast and some saying viktoria, personally, I think Viktoria is bringing back the "Artistic" in artistic gymnastic. I think, really, they both have potential to win, they just have to bring the performance on the day.
what is the name of the song?
Sorry.. why are they not completely around?
I heard she just got wrist surgery? Can anyone confirm this?
whatz ACL??
nastia luikin is amazing
5.9, I think, without deductions. Wieber clocks in at a 6.1, three tenths higher than Komova. But this is as of 2011. I'm not sure how much it is now.
I hope you learn maths.
I guess her last landing was what did it, but I still really thought Komova had it...
@TheJambar9 Not necessarily about that last thing... I call Vika "Komova" most of the time. And I hate it too. The spins should have only a deduction, not be downgraded on top of that!
@BoraBoraGirl2001 Did I say she was perfect? Also, she fell out of a turn. That's not a HUGE deduction. That's .2 for devaluing any then .1 or .3 for it being uncontrolled. Whichever the judges want to take. However, Wieber's third pass alone had a total of .9 deductions. Also, Wieber's D score on floor should've been a 5.8 since her 2.5 wasn't fully rotated. Komova has the same amount of mistakes on floor, if not less. Also, Komova hitting her feet on the high bar was a .3 deduction.
She did care, but at this moment, she thought she had the gold medal already, so she didnt make it a big deal. All she had to do was just go through the routine without a mistake and she wouldve won it.
@LMA629 Komova was and should've been prepared to recieve her Gold Medal. The stupid spin rules are stupid. Deduct them, but don't take the element out. She was definatley as graceful as any other gymnast in that situation. She's not like Mustafina who just gives a death stare face when she loses. And Wieber has very little artistry.
Have you ever noticed you know a person's biased if they use a gymnast first name. It's a give away everytime ;-)
Wow that female commentator wasn’t happy with Wieber winning. IMO, people attached way too much significance to Jordyn’s win here. She was on par with other athletes she was not clearly above everyone.
I can understand people being upset about the outcome of this competition, but so many people act like it’s Weiber’s fault that she was allegedly overscored. Feel how you wanna feel, but people are so ugly and toxic about it.
I felt like her 2010 floor routine had much more personality.
This just proves that these so called "sports" like gymnastics, diving, figure skating and any other event that requires a persons opinion (judging) are just beauty contests. I'm not saying they aren't athletes, but until these events find a way to have a clear cut winner, they will never be sports in this person's opinion.
And I agree, poor Victoria.
However that's without accounting for Mustafina...
@liukin95 Haha, I agree completely! Although a fully healthy Komova would've even beaten Mustafina =D. I think that'll be the story in London. I woudl LOVE to see Iordache win bronze!
Sad Winning like this
@coconutmilkshakeXD The only thing is that Viktoria is also powerful. And I find them entertaining as well, even if I'm the one starting it most of the time XD.
she fell out of it, like it was clunky landing
@GymnasticsFan1144 I wish....
She should not have beaten Wieber... she was clean, but didn't have the difficulty
Katie Hart yes I agree, as I agree that Jordan lost in the Olympics cause Komova, Gabby Aly and Mustafina were better
Just imagine, if Mustafina did not tear her ACL and attended these world championships in full health this AA competition may have been a completely different story. Mustafina lost to Wieber at the American cup because she had that mistake on floor and the American cup usually favours Americans any way. Just think, a fully healthy Aliya Mustafina would of smashed Wieber and Komova to the bottom of the Pacific.
@concreto20 USA fan agrees
i like this routine better than jordyn actually, idk why she got second,no hate on jordyn i actually support team USA,but let's just be honest here lol. Anyways congrats Jordyn! :D
Disclaimer: I do love Vika, I really do, and I think she should have won AA at the Olympics. But:
Are we forgetting Vika's low D scores? Her stumbles on the landings of two of her tumbling passes and her shaky beam set?
Are we forgetting Jordyn has an Amanar and with two big steps, she would have still been in the lead after the first rotation? Amanar, even with a step, is not messy with her form.
And Jordyn has plenty of artistry, just not balletic or Soviet level.
