Thank you for this professional video. I saw you use vMix, I also have two OBSBOT Tail air and vmix. Is the image you are now showing FullHD or 4K? I mean the recorded one because I see that the video in RUclips is FullHD. If you were outdoors without an internet signal, how would you connect the ptzs with an ethernet cable? Is it possible to use a modem for the sole purpose of providing an IP? Maybe you just want to make a recording without going on air.... bye, thank you.
My video was recorded in 1080p. Depending on cell signal you could tether your phone to a laptop and go wireless. You would need a power source to run a router for poe. Starlink with a bonded 5g service. It all depends how much money you want to spend.
That's weird I have had no problem with vmix and obs either NDI usb-c or wireless. Only thing I've noticed is I connect access obsbot virtual camera in vmix. Hopefully an update will fix that. Lmk if you figure it out. The camera doesn't even show??
Can't find anywhere: Is it possible to have audio with the wireless Virtual Camera feature? Apparently not, as I don't see a virtual audio device for the OBSBOT. It seems maybe either NDI or RTSP is required for wireless video + audio?
Sorry about that..yes it's a desktop software. You wound want to connect to desktop when using obs or vmix...but you can use the app also to move the camera afterwards Also or the remote you can buy.
@@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan Thanks. Do you have a video where you show your lighting set up / gear ? Because in this one, I can see the image is awesome but I wonder how. Are you using one light or 2?
Is it possible to use other ethernet adapter or does it need that one specific. Have tried with normal ethernet -> usb-c adapter and cant get i to connect to the wired connection.
I connected the Obsbot at home but when I got to my location and connected to their wifi, I couldn't pull up image on my Obsbot app. It would normally say "camera" in a red oval and I'd click on it to view image in app but I could not connect. What am I doing wrong? I need to figure it out to appreciate the Obsbot completely. Any thoughts?
When you use just any wifi there is no garentee. You need to test the speed yourself know the numbers and see if it's adequate. Upload speed matters more. Then is it 2.4 or 5ghz and how far away are you. It takes practice and time to figure things out. Hope this helps.
So I connected the bot to the pc but it just charges, even when I turn on the PC the OBSBot center does not recognize it, am I doing something wrong? I am even using the splitter though I don't have a second cable for charging
My best advice is insert a sd card and install updated firmware and have the latest software before anything. Also remember if your connected usb-c you need to gointo software and turn on uvc setting. If still having a problem reachout to obsbot they are very active.
You need to install center or app on phone to make changes in your software to use it the way you want. Via ndi hdmi wireless ect. Then you can turn it on and use it the same till you don't. Plus that's how you would update your firmware. The fb tailair community is very useful too.
Would I be able to stream an entire sermon wirelessly to OBS, ( given that I keep it powered throughout?) We broadcast in 1080, if this does, we are in!!!!!
Hi!!! So there are a few factors that will make it successful but yea it would work. Like your wireless speed and strength. the built in battery will give you about 2 hours at 1080p. You could also use a external powerbank too. Also obs uses a ndi plugin that works great and works really good but you need to buy the ndi license that you can get with this camera. I do have a discount code in my description. Just note I do get a small commission from using it but it doesn't cost you anything. Lmk if you have any questions. Also Facebook has a great obsbot tail community. Thanks for watching.
So my mistake I said a couple times mini hdmi it's micro hdmi. Sorry!!
Great video John. The versatility is really intriguing for this camera.
Thanks for watching! I'm really impressed. The software and app will be another video.
Thank you for your Genuine Intelligence and giving the AI the boot.
You gotta fight for your right!!! 😅 thanks for watching and dropping a comment.
Incredible review! The AI tracking feature seems really advanced. Can't wait to try it out for my vlogs
Thank you enjoy the tailair.
Thank you for this video. I have been thinking about this brand and you may have convinced me to get it. Thanks enjoy and stay warm.
Thanks for dropping a comment! Reach out if you need any info I will also be doing a couple more videos on this camera.
I sure will and thanks a million
What would you recommend for mounting
It has a 1/4 20 on the bottom so you can use whatever you want. Magic Arm a Tripod a ball head. It's endless.
@@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan thank you so much. You have convinced me this is the route I should take. Thanks again 👍🏽

@@FrancoAversa no problem 😊
This was amazing John. Thanks for sharing
Hey David!! Thanks for the comment 👍 good to see you.
Thank you very much for the video. Extremely helpful!
I'm so glad it could be of help. 👍
Great explanation, I have a question? Have you ever tried connecting with Wirecast? For some reason I can’t establish wireless connection

best intro EVER
Thanks for being the first person to make a comment on the intro!!! Finally 🤣
Great review, but I'm curious about the battery life. How long can it record on a single charge?
Thanks!!! About 2 hours...little more if at 1080p.

I will try it out myself tomorrow a few ways and get you an answer.
So it looks that way...with ndi I had audio wireless. With virtual camera none.
Very kool start 👍
Thanks
What software are you referring to exactly at 1:14 ? It it the Start App? or is there a desktop app?

Many people have asked and it seems that it is not possible.

I was just getting ready to go to another video before you stepped in.😂 Great entrance. Cannot wait to get my OBSBOT Tail Air.
@PorchiaDallas I wanted to true something different..hope I didn't make things worse🤣🤣 thanks for watching and the comment.
Does the Tail Air work just plug and play? Or do you have to install Center?

Bummer. I don’t have administrator access on my work laptop. Any suggestions on a PTZ camera that is plug and play? lol
@KasandraKirchmeyer make the changes on your phone. You have full control from phone and plug it in usb-c like any other camera on your PC.
So download Obsbot start?
Found it, thank you!
