I remove the mainboard for safety. If you are sure you won't damage the mainboard, you don't need to remove it.

yeah.. because as I looked how it's placed, it seems that you don't need to remove it to change the battery. but anyway, I won't have to worry about this within the next 5 years I assume..

PLEASE HELP ME!
My MI MIX 2 was perfect until now that i connect to USB for charging and i realise that the symbol of "turbo charging" its ON at the top right of the screen before i connect the cable, whatever... i put on the cable but few mins later the phone shutdown (it was not charging) and now when i plug in again the charger the light below turn on and off repeatedly, so no charging and i cant turn on the phone...

I tried everythink ( like power button + voice butten for fast boot or recovery boot ) but i couldnt see anythink on my screen ( i didn`t think first my screen was gone ). and open inside and try to EDL mode connection. I can connect with Edl mode my phone to computer but when Itry to fla my phone always given some error code. I after learn my phone was locked and unfortunately i couldnt unlock my phone before broken ):
