Wow! I can't believe it! Seeing Michael Franti and Spearhead on your channel for myself for the very first time (in case you've already done programs on them before). This will be interesting, and for me, it's been a while since I've heard new music from him and the band.
Well, Anwar, you've just pulled another one of those "gated" artists, who I absolutely love-Michael Franti and Spearhead. I believe this is from his latest album which he literally just released in the past month or less. Really glad you've got this one! And I also see Paul Simon on the docket! The man, with his album, "Graceland" absolutely anticipated some of the music genres of Nico and Vinz many years later. Paul Simon is a massive talent; will definitely be looking forward to watching that one as well!
All his lyrics are like this! Dive in, man. My favorite album: "Yell Fire!" And he does.
Totally agree with your synopsis. Even though Michael Franti is an American artist, you will not hear his amazing discography on any of the main media outlets. Fortunately, programs like this one can help to address some of this intentional oversight.
