I think we mostly understand that "Izzah" in this world is not guaranteed and that ups and downs are inevitable. However, being at ease with perpetual, systematic humiliation is self-destructive (unless one is indeed powerless or one is waiting strategically). Patience is exercised AFTER one makes one's best effort and then leaves the affair to God, even if this results in temporary humiliation in the world. That said, hasty reactions are also harmful. There's a fine balance to be achieved here. Be patient but prep for the right time.
