Catching our 7th raccoon this season

The raccoons raise havoc on our deck that feeds a lot of birds.
So we have been trapping them to get rid of them. We got number 6 just yesterday. These two had been managing to avoid the trap so I added some weight to the top to prevent vibration from springing it prematurely, and I covered the bait (bird suet) with a piece of expanded metal so they'd have to work to get at it.
That was the secret!
I don't know why the trail cam did't capture the exact moment when the animal began entering the trap.
