Nobody deserves hate, death threats, or constant harrassment. However, I dislike the narrative that it's all Selena's extremist fans sending hate, when Hailey's side has also sent out if not, a lot of undue criticism and hatred as well. I've seen Selena speak out and try to prevent people from harassing her, but I never see the same treatment from Hailey even when her fans prompted Selena to delete a make-up routine video just because they somehow convinced themselves she was mocking Hailey.
To be fair like said in the interview Hailey does not own that to her just like how Selena didn’t own Hailey to speak out about this right now. While yes it would have been a nice effort for her to do, she doesn’t have to plus she probably know fans won’t even listen. I mean they ain’t listening now anyway
@@Ariberry05 Absolutely, but it is an issue when Hailey herself says in the podcast, when asked if "her husband's ex had done or said anything to help combat the hatred" she had said no, which is evidently false.

No, if you search ET Canada on RUclips, with the title "Selena Gomez Defends Hailey Bieber", you can see right there that the narrative that she never defended her or "is owed anything to do so" is not correct. At the time, I remember multiple outlets covering it and that it was quite well-known. I understand either side don't owe it to each other to say anything, but I find it very confusing considering pretty much everyone remembers this except for Hailey...

There was absolutely no reason why Hailey had to do an interview about Justin who is now her husband. The difference between Selena and Hailey is that Selena expresses her past and life lessons through art: singing, dancing, acting and is now expressing it through a documentary. Only reason why Hailey did this interview was most likely because she learned about Selena's documentary and wanted to get the "truth" out before her.

You know, this breaks my heart that she can't get away from her past; everyone brings her past up.
