@@mpearce820 You nailed it! Canada has about 40% of the employment provided by government. All other countries keep this around 15-20% for a very good reason. Thsi is why "elections" in Canada are mor just selection. This is how these freeloader solcislist, deepmarxist and green taliban gets their seats because thsoe who work for government don't want lose their sunshinelist jobs and all the good benefits what comes with it. The rest of the 60% can suck it and pay the extortionate taxes with near zero benefits. Canada needs to transfer in to republic and ditch this "crown corporation" hotbed for corruption. We have equals and lot more equals who always win and never get in trouble.

I work in Uganda. Here it is common for most government contracts to be hugely inflated by the civil service so that very large kickbacks can be paid to the same civil servants and their responsible politicians. When a contract is clearly inflated, there MUST be corruption and kickbacks going on. No question this happened with ArriveCan - the question is, can the opposition break through the Canadian Government's coverup?

  • @macmac1022

I would like to state some ideas that I think would help bring back communication between the people and politicians and accountability to politicians.
#1 If they avoid a question in the house of commons during question period, they get fined for wasting time and tax dollars.
#2 If they avoid too many questions they are fired without a pension. This should bring some accountability for avoiding questions.
#3 We make a site for canadian citizens where we can list questions and then vote on them and the top 5-10 questions get asked at every meeting. This should help the politicians understand what the people are really saying.
#4 When politician is finished their term, the people get to vote on if they get a pension or not. This would help with the problem of how they only care about the people during voting time and once its over they toss us under the bus.
#5 The people have the power to kick out elected people instead of the politicians being the ones who control themselves. This again would stop them from throwing the people under the bus after they get elected.

Excellent work M. Genuis. This needed clarification.
Seems like they are thinking that analyzing other departments procedures and decision is a job itself while they, in fact, are just pushing paper around since the decision are 1. Done by other department and 2. Already done, so therefore they are at best redundant. .... at best.

Gee when I wanted to order anyhting from a company, I had to find three companies that supplied the item and get quotes from each. Put the paperwork together, take it to supply and then argue as to why I needed the item. If there was only one supplier in Canada then I had to give a detailed explanation as to why there was only one supplier. I had so many obstacles put in my way that it got impossible to get my own work done for the project. So what does the Procurement section do? They get paid to PISS you off.

Decisiin was made by whoever signed the contract. Theyre all on SAP, once they started the PO after Requisition was made, the person who created the PO is the person who has to finish it and sign it off. They wouldve had say over the Source/Vendor they used but ultimately it's That Persons Boss who is to be accountable.
That being said, 90% of the time, the boss wont be involved and its the purchaser themself that choses the vendor. Look into the ties between GC Strat and That particular purchaser. Probably a good start.
Bare in mibd that purchaser may really just be working off a list of vendors and not have any idea at all about any of the companies on it.

"Well you see the government is organized and we make sure the organization is organized and we procure things :)"
"What do YOU do?, can you show me an example of anything you actually did?"
"Im not going to acknowledge that"
What a state of affairs in this "democracy". I sure do love that at one point, I actually put on a uniform for this country. I was always expected to be responsible and ACCOUNTABLE to my superiors and the people of Canada. The best part about it was that I was doing backbreaking work with a smile on my face, earning my pay from the people of Canada for 10 years and the whole while people like her were making more money than I will ever see through pure corruption. If we could have re directed that $60 million to the military or to housing or to literally anything else we might have something to show for it. This is just a disgrace and remember people, if you have been paying taxes for your entire life, your entire contribution, your entire life of taxes, was given to her and her friends for literally nothing. Gone. Disappeared.
