Hello, thanks for this video. I have the same model of graphics but only 2 fans. It will be the same process when disassembling the screws, right? Greetings!
Im getting dodgy behaviour just sat on desktop on same card at idle, memory temps at 60°c at idle. Aretfacting in games when they dont crash before hand. Had it since brand new but bout ready to give up on it but figure might be just thermal paste needs replacing on the memory side of things. Might be cheap fix rather than dropping another £1000 on a gpu. Its still a good card. For another year or two id say. You think 60°c on idle on mems the issue? The gpu temps outside of nemory at idle are in 40s. Which parts the memory specifically is my question?
If memory is the issue then you need to change thermal pads even deeper on gpu than this video shows. Memory chips are located around cpu whitch i placed red thermal paste, under that black plate.
@@Miikakaarithanks mate, I'll find a more in depth tear down tutorial find out what I'm actually dealing with. You have any recommendations for replacement thermal pads for the whole card? May as well replace all of them and reapply thermal paste to everything while in there.
@@Miikakaari thanks, I appreciate it. Been looking around at some other people's information on temps of these cards and I'm now not so sure there's anything to my memory over heating theory. Seems like memory being 20°c above GPU temps is fairly normal. Maybe something more terminal
They are very much same. Only some small upper pads might be on slightly different spot but that shouldnt be problem if just replace then with same size as originals
Nice vid bro! Finally i found this video to see size thickness my 2080ti trio❤
Thank you very much I have been searching how to repaste msi gpu 2080ti and finally I found your video thank you very much

Should not be atleast much different
The thermal pad thickness Is the same for RTX 2070 super trio?

Thermalright odyssey is efficient and not most expensive.

Is it necessary to change the thermal pads or just an extra step because you already have it opened up anyway?
No you dont but paste has to if opened
@@Miikakaari Yeah obviously, that why I want to open it haha. Thanks for the fast reply tho!
Hi. Could you please tell me the thickness of the thermal pads you used in the video?
These are shown 6:25 on video
@@Miikakaari Didn't they change the thermal pads under the plate on the memory? Which ones are there?
@@Cocalne not on this video since pads under were fine for now. Dont really remember sizes under sry
@@Miikakaari Thanks
Can i apply sizes?
I have MSI Gaming Trio X RTX 2080 ti
Is it true sizes?
Yes
Sorry, sir, I have exactly the same gpu, but not ti, can I also do like you?, Sorry for my English
They are very much same. Only some small upper pads might be on slightly different spot but that shouldnt be problem if just replace then with same size as originals
i did this exactly the same way and it killed my card... no idea what happend
Did gpu not even start or it broke after? Maybe one of those wired got unblugged when changing thermals?
can yo utell us sizes of thermal pads?
It is shown on video
@@Miikakaari yeeah i see im blind xdddd thank youu
Are these Thermal Pads the same thickness for the 2080ti Gaming X Trio? What are the thicknesses under the backplate?
Yes they should be. Dont remember exact thickness for backplate but normallu there are 3mm pads
