As a Dolphins fan, it sucked watching him torch our defense and special teams for years. As a football fan, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the guy. Hell of a player, hell of a career.
Love this man thank you rooting for you and tua
As a Patriots fan it sucked losing every time we went down to Miami😂
Gotta respect talent
Everyone torch Miami it’s weird how you respect retired vets that torched your team lol 😆
Thanks for giving us Welker for him to learn from
Julian Edelman gave every ounce of himself to the game. He left absolutely everything on the field. One of my favourite players.
How can you not love the guy. Late round pick who became a legend of the sport
Nearly got his head taken off in the Super Bowl by bam bam kam and shook it off
In a word, 'Incredlman' sums it up.
late round pick as a QUARTERBACK
@@felipelyra3871He entered the draft as that but the pats worked him out as a returner.
Even on the day they selected him Belichick said I’m don’t where you’ll play but your a football player. He was never entering the pats as a QB
Steroids
He had a great NFL career. Edelman will never be forgotten, and definitely not forgotten in New England.
Not forgotten in Louisiana either. I've enjoyed watching the Pats for years. They were like a well oiled machine, doing everything just right. There is no way not to have admiration for a team like that.....even when they keep your team out of the Superbowl. I will never forget those flawless performances.
As a die hard life long patriots fan, we were spoiled watching edelman every week during football season. He was so great. Sad to see him retire. He will be missed.
always enjoyed watching edelman play. hardworker and clutch.
Very clutch. The TD pass to amendola, the super bowl game winning touchdown, and the super bowl circus catch.
@@AD-vf3ek and his performance in superbowl 53
It always seemed like the bigger the moment the better he played which I absolutely loved about him. He always came through when we needed him most
Number one receiver in NFL post season history? Jerry Rice. Number two? Julien Edelman. Go look it up. If anyone here thinks he was over rated.... think again. He was one of the most reliable, dependable and clutch football players of all time. He was truly a brilliant football player....
Is this the first time ever some people try to make point based on someone being the second best in something?
@@laitisvi1750 If you figure thousands of receivers have played in the NFL over the last 100 years and Edelman is the 2nd ranked post season receiver of all time.... than making the argument here that being 2nd is something special and not to be ridiculed. It holds weight.... simply based on history and who is ranked below him....
@@robertcosta6967 so what you make out of it, him having great playoff stats? Do you make the point that he is better than Megatron, TO, Randy Moss, Larry Fitz, Marvin Harris, Ocho, Steve Smith? Or do you make the point that he was part of great teams that made it to playoffs often and went far in the playoffs?
Yes, it is a great stat to have, but like all other post season stats, what you really do with them?
@@laitisvi1750 you appreciate them for what they are
@@michaelpeloza1561 Ok.
*Thumbs up*
What now?
Jules retirement was a sad day. I knew it would never be the same after he left. He gave us the greatest moments in our living room. I yelled so hard my throat hurt the next day. I wore that jersey loud and proud. I still do 😢
i'm a patriots fan and i cried like a baby when i heard the news about him retiring but when i heard the news about brady's retirement i was just numb... tears just doesn't come. i never knew i loved edelman more than brady i guess lol
From punt returner to SB MVP - that's a story as good as any 10 time All Pro.
The 2010's Patriots were special; easily some of the best times in Football with amazing, emotionful games I got the honor to watch in real time (2015 AFC Championship & 2014 Divisional Games) being a few of the best none SB Playoff games for different reasons too date. How BB let it all go downhill with the super lackluster off-seasons of no receiving help for Brady for his final (3) years is still unforgivable, but the amazing times from Brady, Gronk, Edelman along with a few special seasons out of players such James White & Matthew Slater were some of the best years of football in my life. I feel once Brady is gone my true passion for the game will-be as well, but it has been such a joyous part of my life to follow a team of underdogs to become some of the greatest at their positions & most respected as well.
Ugggggggggg stfu Jesus christ go give ur son Tom Brady kisses
This just means we are old 😭
Like the 2017 season when they lost to Philly??
@@bigmapguy2884 Brady literally destroyed them; Bills defense couldn't stop a back up journeyman on the biggest stage...
2010s Pats were fkn scary. Tom would get the ball at the end of a game and everybody on planet Earth knew what was gonna happen screaming NOT AGAIN
Such a talented player. Shame he got injured so many times.
PEDs that’s why. It’s common for athletes that use, constantly injured
@@VisceralCarbon he got busted once for ped’s and it was when he was out with an ACL. Probably did them to speed up the healing process. I doubt somebody like him actually used them.
@@VisceralCarbon you know who else is constantly injured ? The majority of football players . It’s a violent sport
@@VisceralCarbon peds has nothing to do with injuries…
@@VisceralCarbon Did you not watch or listen to the hits this guy was willing to be thrown into??
respect to the man for knowing the limits of his body and walking out before he got knocked out.
As a Patriots fan I love this guy, an amazing player for sure.
As a dolphins fan Julian Edelman is my all time favorite patriot the story of him going from college qb to one of the greatest slot receivers in nfl history always inspired me.
I grew up hating the patriots, just from where im born and the team I root for but.. I RESPECT THIS GUY SO MUCH and all the patriots players. I may root for them to lose. but these guys are legends in the NFL
Same here! I grew up a New York Giants fan, and I’ve rooted against the New England Patriots ever since I became a full-time NFL fan in 2005, when I was just 9 years old (I was born on October 21st, 1996 btw). But even during all these years of hating on this great 🏈 team, I’ve grown up understanding just how amazing its players really were. They just really knew how to win, and that’s exactly why the ppl that we’ve seen everywhere on 📺 talk about them and how they were going to win on a regular basis.
Same here but the more I learn about guys like Jules and Brady you just have to respect their work ethic. Great players. Still hate the team 😂
Julian will forever be my guy. Always loved him since the first preseason game he lit it up! Definitely one of the best Patriot players ever.
He is a hall of famer! Did you see what he did to Rams in 53? They could not stop him! Man playing with boys!!
Borderline HOF... his number dont touch HOF status alone. and theres still alot of guys waiting to get in who should be in b4 him. Hell theres at least a handful of guys still playing that may get in b4 him
Baseball doesn’t let steroids why would football
No matter what though, I still have love and respect for Julian. He's still a beast!
This is why Julian Edelman is a real patriot didn’t leave us when Brady left. He stayed and embraced everything to me. That’s the greatest patriot ever this is what ever blue collar kids wants to do to make there family proud of him #JE11 #MVP #LFG #GoPats
So Gronk is not a true patriot?
W
Lots and love and respect, Jules! Thanks for playing the best you could for us!
Truly one of the greatest Patriots to ever wear the uniform. He epitomized what Boston sports fans love in an athlete...maybe not the most athletically gifted but will always give every ounce of effort and play their best when it mattered most. Jules will always be a key part of the Patriots Dynasty!
Had season tickets very good seats close to the field.I’ve never seen anyone
that could cut move and catch a pass likeJulian he was a true Patriot Champ!
😢
I hope julian knows he was loved as a player, I'm not a patriots fan but what he was able to do even I have to admit hey that guys pretty good, much love brother, hope the hall is in the future for you
As a Bills fan, no one is a bigger fan of Julian Edelman then me. He is my sports hero and role model.
It was great to watch Jules. He will be forever remembered for the catch against Atlanta. That catch is the one example that explains Julian. He would have died to make that catch. If you have people on your team with that will to win, my God that's everything. Believe me, we all recognize that effort. Thank you Julian for the honor to watch you play.
Julian never getting a pro bowl trip is a travesty, seriously!
It’s because he was always too busy lighting up defenses in the playoffs
@@falconshock3677 That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!
@@chhansen9813 Pro bowl voting always happened during the regular season, and Edelman always had his best games/plays in the postseason
Players playing in the Super Bowl don’t play in the Pro Bowl.
Ill remember him for being Great !! Awesome receiver clutch one you’d want to be beside in War !
From a Washington pats fan thank u Julian Edelman but I really do miss u guys You guys brought my family together!!!!
I have more respect for the guy who plays his whole career for one fan base than those that shop themselves around. Those that do are always beloved by their fan.
Jules was and still is one of my all time favourite athletes and idols. Pats fan forever!
Thanks for the memories Jules. You are Legend.
Thank you Jules, you will always be remembered as a great football player and a great and loyal Patriot. When you are the field there was always hope things would turn out good. Thanks
The most subtle ‘Old School’ quote just slid right in there. I was so hoping he was going to say, “A pretty nice little Saturday.” 😂 #legend
Three guys from the Tom Brady era that had surprisingly successful careers: Edelman, Amendola, and Slater. All three guys are known for coming up with big plays when they were needed most.
Gronk???
I wouldn't say gronk being good was surprising lol. Read the comment again.
Pray I can have this kind of influence on my son 🙏🏿
Thinkin the same thing. Praying for you and your son
@@gnarleyjames420thanks, and I'll do the same for you bruh!
Small guy in stature by football standards but has the biggest heart. Enjoy your new challenges, no one will do them better.
Thanks for everything bro!!
Thank you Julian! While TB12 was the magic, you were the fire… I truly enjoyed the ride… :-)
Respect. Knowing when to quit takes guts, humility, and self-awareness.
This hit home
His family is so awesome.
Man hearing Edelman talk about recovering from pain, it sounds like what Luck was going through. Gotta be tough to play and especially tough to deal with at the end.
Jules is one of my favorite all time players. Along with Brady, Gronk, Welker, Moss, Rice, Young, and Wilfork
Thanks Jules. You gave us great years in New England. Our guy
I'll never forgive these crappy artificial turfs that half the stadiums have now. Non-contact ACL tear on Detroit's garbage playing surface cost him that season, and probably a few more at the end of his career. Oh, and if Jules is healthy in 2017, no doubt they win that Super Bowl.
Edelman: guts and heart.
Julian Edelman should be every young man's hero. He played at the highest level and went above and beyond. He was a small college quarterback who should've never made it in the NFL. Not that he wasn't great in college because he was the best qb Kent state has ever had. Possibly the best football player, period. He overcame adversity and shined like the brightest diamond. He's definitely someone I look up to, and we're almost the same age. Most of all is his positive attitude, work ethic, and he's an all-around class act. He's what everyone in professional sports should aspire to be. 🎉❤
My favorite all time wide receiver.i miss seeing him play
"He maximized his abilities and he took advantage of every opportunity and he will be remembered as one of the all time greats." How many people in life can say that they lived up to their full potential and never missed an opportunity? I believe that 99.99 percent of humans, including myself. are not living up to their full potential. Sad but this is the truth.
Jules was savage on the field. Just a crazy squirrel ever chasin that nut!
I'm glad he got out when he did, before his knees got worse. But I think that, if he'd been healthy, he and Mac Jones would have worked really well together.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
a legend
Beast and so clutch.
the way this guy evolve to become a hell of a player was unmatched
Julian Edelman one of the top five players I love to watch play the game👍❤️
God I'm gonna miss this guy.
I loved watching him play and now I love watching his RUclips Shorts. The dude is hilarious! He could easily be the next Joe Rogan, with a podcast centered around sports, especially football.
It’s sad to see great football players retire, but that’s a game that most don’t play for long.
Great player one of the great ones
How could you not love this guy
My favorite wr of all time, forever. LOVE YOU JULES ❤️💙
He may not have the HOF stats but he was an intricate part of the Patriot offense. He had to switch positions and played everywhere, offense , defense, special teams . He should be in the HOF some day.
We miss and love Jules. What a great Patriot!
He will forever be the iron man dude always gave everything and left it in the field. Future HOF for sure 💪🏼
One of my favorite sports athletes ever!🤙
Whens the episode out
Love you Jules. Retire well bud ❤️🤍💙
Salute to # 11. A true inspiration.
football dude. he is hilarious and honest... this is why Belichick is so great, he got guys like this...
Edelman's book is amazing
It just felt like his career went so fast 💨
Julian has a lot of success with Tom Brady.
Folks overlook the fact that he had great success with Cam Newton who is the 1st to follow Brady, as QB1.
In 1 game, Edelman was targeted 11 times & got his season high of 179 yds.
Patriots Nation couldn’t accept Cam Newton & they overlooked the fact that he lost a lot of top players right after Brady left. Also, Cam had a very tougher schedule than what Brady had with the Buccaneers.
I feel Cam never got his fair chance as a Patriot because fans were mad.
I’m still a fan of Cam. He couldn’t do anymore with that skeleton of an Offense. To me, Cam is a Warrior. He signed late, & had no prep time much. He won 7-8 his first yr. He got 3Xs lesser weapons than Mac Jones was given. Cam is still 1 of my
Top Patriots heroes.
It hurt me, when Julian left after 6 games. Julian was a good player, too! ❤️🙏☮️
You go Jules! Hall of Fame here we come!
LEGEND
He is the definition if what it means to be a patriot he might not make it to canton but he will sure make back to Foxborough to get his number retired.
He was a elite player!
I’m a 49ers fan our bar high he’s the 2nd best playoff WR ever. Slot WR, small & undrafted did the most with his talent top small WR.
Weird how the most passing yards he had in a game came with Cam Newton throwing. Even weirder knowing he was doing it in so much pain. Not having to deal with the "12th Man" in Seattle during that pandemic season didn't hurt, but still.
Cant believe Scam Newton was a Patriot!!😂😂
My favorite
He needs to be in the Hall of Fame!!!
Julian needs to be a hall of famer, I don’t care what anyone else says.
Best WR to ever do it
Oh hell yeah!!! Edelman will forever be a legend and hero in Massachusetts! Especially in the foxboro, wrentham and surrounding area! When he was a rookie and first year player he would be hanging around the local spots here in Franklin and he was pretty much a good dude. As a matter of fact he was trying to pick up my buddies girlfriend one night at incontro and he said that he was a quarterback for the patriots😂😂😂. Mind you, Brady had already been here for years before edelnut came😂😂. The funniest part about that story is that the girl, my friend’s now wife. Told us on the ride home that the short guy tried to tell me that he was Tom Brady 😂😂😂😂😂😂. We were all laughing and told her that, no he’s a kick returner who was drafted as a quarterback! We all knew who he was. But the girls had no clue!
I couldn’t stand the patriots when Edelman Brady gronk etc were their but he’s 1 of the toughest wideouts I’ve seen. Not the biggest not the fastest.
A great football player, true HOF human.
He had 36 touchdowns for his career I didn't know that
As a bills fan, I absolutely hated this guy. Strictly for the fact that it looked like he cared more and tried harder than anyone else on the field. And when that guy isn’t playing for your team, you hate it. But now I can say, he was great at what he did. And he is pretty damn entertaining now as well n
Julian should get with Audible and narrate audio books!!
A great QB will extend the careers of his receivers.
Damm Im getting old lol
Edelman the greatness
How many Pats BB got in media?
Jules, Tedy, Willie, Rod, the twins, Ninko, Brady...
Judging by the way Jules’ parents sit together, I bet his dad walks with a limp. Cause he’s packin
He owes his dad at least a million dollars.
2 years too early or 2 years later.
Hall of fame 💯 one of the best
He could get in but would have to wait a long time... 620/6822/36 isnt the best stat line for a career as a WR. I think his couple rings and stuff helps his case.. but if guys like Andre Reed took a long time to get in it should take Julian just as long if not longer
Never say never. He may be back with the Patriots in 2023
We all get to the point where we find out it is time to go.
this dude had the courage of a 400lb lineman
he is the david beckham of nfl
Lol bill is in my head. 😅
Julian Edelman was the Patriot Way Offensively and sometimes Defensively.
Hoping one day I can get my jersey signed by him to hang in the man cave
