    Great video and I agree dealer services can be expensive but a fully stamped service history will preserve the cars value.

      As a master tec that is 100% fraud.... you cannot use a manufacturer logo and they keep recoards for 10 years for vat reasons. you can get any workshop to stamp the book in the uk and it will perserve any warrenty.. you dont need a dealerstamp but you do need a vat registered garage to stamp it..... you sir are a scammer@@GloUp100

    Be wary of using non-ford oil, as the cambelt is wet and can disintegrate in the wrong oil causing oil pickup to block causing the ecoboom. A full ford service kit with GENUINE ford oil, filter, air filter, sump plug can be had for £75 (ebay item 184532611020 ) and a spark plug kit only a few quid more. Shows the labour charges are £££££. Personally, I'd recommend frequent oil changes with genuine parts to avoid risk of cam belt issue

    The pollen filter you took out was dark due to being charcoal activated and a better option than the one you put back in!

    I enjoyed your video. I service my 2014 1.0 Fiesta ecoboost like the service you've just done (oil, oil and air filters annually, new coolant and pollen filter every two years,). I may only do 800 miles annually some years but I still service it nonetheless. With these ecoboost engines it certainly pays to keep the engine oil good. They are easy to do. Just tried to see where you put your axle stands.

      Your paying for labour and parts ..... you people think we work for nothing .... you cannot do our job day in day out your paying for the experience of a trained professional back with 12 moths warrenty on parts and labour and preserves your warranty.... no stamp no warrenty simple... you don't even need a dealerstamp just a reputable garage... but you still be at 200 minimum.... muppet

    I did a service on my son’s Fiesta a few years back and the position of that oil filter is a pain when you are lying on your back. He now has a Suzuki Swift and the filter is right at the front and is so simple to change.

      I HATE where manufacturers put the cabin filter; Honda CRV you have to take out the glove box, others under the scuttle (cowl), and then there is this. Ugh.
      I'm used to changing the air filter like this Ford, the CRV and others you have to unscrew the air box. Absolutely ridiculous!

    • @mec-tec
      @mec-tec  11 месяцев назад +2

      Hi mate as long as they are 4 stud (4x108) they will fit, you just need to check the offset as this determines how far in or out the arch the wheel sits, the offset is usually stamped on the back of thw wheel and is the number starting with ET, hope this helps MEC 👍

    Hi! Please can you help me? I left my car parked somewhere within a 10-15 mins drive of London St Pancras station and I can’t remember where. I think it’s somewhere in Camden or Islington but could be wrong. I really need help finding it - I have severe adhd and can’t remember for the life of me what direction I went in, but I know it took me 20-25 mins max to walk there so it would’ve been within 1.5 miles. It’s a purple Peugeot 108 vrn kt14 kbe. Im parked in a permit only residents parking bay with a blue badge.
    I’ve been trying my hardest to look with no luck. If you could keep an eye out for it I would appreciate it massively! I’m trying to contact anyone who goes around central London a lot in hopes that they might come across it!

    The ecoboom engines in these fiestas are awful, the cambelts are by far the worst design sitting in oil
    the cost of replacing it is mad too as you need to remove the sump and clean all the bits of cambelt out of the oil strainer at the same time

    • @mec-tec
