Turning and installing some Shaker pegs

  • Over the years, I've turned a lot of Shaker pegs and Shaker knobs. In this video, I make two more, for hanging robes beside our wardrobes in the bunk room.

    I love the way you made the dowel first with a plug cutter and the bandsaw, and then can use it for mounting on the lathe! When you first cut the blanks that looked way short…

    What was the step at 3:37 when you covered it in wood shavings for a moment?

      After final sanding, I grab a handful of shavings to burnish the wood before applying finish.

      Yes, drywall anchors. I prefer the type that you screw into the drywall.
