Purdy was pretty uneven all day….but that ball to Kittle was beautiful.

After seeing how missed kicks sank teams this weekend, man what a CLUTCH field goal that was by Moody. It was no cheapie either.

Exactly. More recently, the likes of Mahomes and Allen have had poor games, but they are great QBs for a reason. They find ways to win a game even if they perform poorly. I do see so many similarities between Brock and some other greats from the past and present. He does get so much unfair disrespect simply because of the weapons around him. There have been many QBs who have been stacked with offensive weapons, yet never reached the heights of how Brock is playing.
Exactly- someone else pointed this out; Montana threw 3 INT, there were 3 fumbles, Lott caused 2 major PI---- yet everyone only remembers "The Catch"
Love played good most of the game but didn't when it meant the most. Purdy did the opposite and led them down a winning drive
It’s a shame! No matter what this young man does….”they” look for a reason to knock him, …he’ll be knocked if they win the whole thing but at least he’ll be a Champion!
Purdy reminds so much of Montana. And dare I say...he looks better than Montana in some respects...particularly how fast he processes his reads. And yes, just like Montana, he has some bad quarters, bad games, but also like Montana, he gets past those quick and moves on. I think he's got greatness in his future. Whether pundits ever recognize it....we'll see.
Can't remember the last time Purdy slid down. Always going for the yards.

That final 49ers drive is going to be the stuff of legends.
That last drive was Purdy in a nut shell perfectly execited & methodical nothing flashy & nothing GB could do to stop it he perfectly placed the pillow over thier face & with out even the slightest struggle put their season out of it's misery. He didn't execute them like an assassin he put them to sleep like a vet while Amercia watch on with their paw in hand.
And his only incompletion was a drop by Kittle.
So many heart attack playoff games from this team. The catch, The Catch II , The Catch III. 2003 vs Giants. 2011 vs Saints, 2012 vs Atlanta, 2013 vs Packers, 2021 vs Packers, 2021 vs Cowboys, 2021 loss vs Rams, Now this one

Dammit 🤣. As a Packer fan we could have won 4 different ways. But didn’t. And the only thing that matters in playoff games is who has the most points at the end of the game. Winners find a way to win. Even if it’s not pretty. And panicking on that last set of downs by Love was the dagger. 🗡️ Nice highlight vid. The SF announcers do a great job.

I listen to 49er games through my Alexa and the Bone. Let's me pause it to synch up the timing. Greg Papa is well worth the trouble.

I’m far too young to have watched “The Catch” live but a key point about that game that I would have never known without watching the game online and looking at the statline is that Montana had 3 turnovers in that game, however no one remembers that, they only remember how it ended, which is all that matters

For some reason, the Packers absolutely sucked at getting interceptions. Their guy who had the most (2), got injured against the Cowboys. No other defensive player had more than 1 interception. Ward had 5 and Warner had 4. Now Greenlaw has at least 2! Bang Bang 9ers

Greenlaw stoned Love on that 4th and 1 sneek too, for a turnover on downs. With that the 9ers were +3 on turnovers. GB had 3 trips to the redzone and only came away with 6 points. Those things made up for all the GB stats, and penalties too.
