    A very fast understable disc like a freedom can be a good disc for beginners throwing rollers but it is super technical on the angles so try something like a mamba it is a lot more forgiving

      It's exactly the same as throwing a disc back hand or forehand you just throw at more angle and down into the ground. It's so easy I'm not sure anyone would need instructions if they could already throw discs.

      @@subspaceanomaly nah, I've tried rollers a bunch and have no idea how to do it. I can throw a disc pretty damn good with great distance.. but can't figure out the roller. Haha - I played a round with my parents this weekend. We're all amateurs but I've been working harder at it lately. We were playing to a basket deep into some trees but surrounded by soft, short grass. I told dad "watch this" and rolled a disc from a crouch. It disappeared back into the trees and dad says, "yeah - now good luck finding it in the brush..." Oh I did - 4 foot from the pole. Par. :)

    When I attempt rollers (out of desperation) they tend to be cut rollers. Can a beginner with a noodle arm throw a roller? Is it better to use a heavy disc (more momentum) or a light disc (easier to turn over) ? Catrina was pulling out rollers last year with the F7, but I haven't been able to quite manage anything good with it, or any of my understable discs.

    How should you select a disc or roller type for a tight 90 degree turn around a Mando for example

    • @GTHaroFITBMX
      @GTHaroFITBMX 4 года назад

      I use a mamba for that type of hole. They seem to work pretty well for a RHBH roll around corners

    • @robertskrastins502
      @robertskrastins502 4 года назад

      Depends on which way the 90 degree turn is and how far from the teepad. On a right turning fairway for right handed player you can try a higher speed more overstable disc and throw a forehand roller with a lot of cut aiming to land it close to the mando and then "stand up" as it starts rolling. The cut will help change the direction around the corner and if there's enough spin it should then stand up and roll in the desired direction.
      I hope this makes sense.
      We had a tournament recently where I had to play that exact shot and seemed to work ok.

    I don't throw rollers.
