Yes, but I may start using an Osmo Action or my iPhone. But I still like the X3000.

@@Edgeofdavid Cool, excited to see how those compare. The new stuff has better image quality but it'll be cool to see if the mic and natural stabilisation of the X3000 will still make it the better camera. Bald and Bankrupt is still using it for mega videos!

You can find even less expensive rentals up country if you look. Is that really the 'dream' of Westerners ... to find a back water hovel that rents for little money? What sort of work do you folks do in Thailand to support your lifestyle?

My friend is married to a Thai woman and works as a teacher in that province. I run an online business and make these vlogs as a fun side thing. I agree with your general sentiment, I'm based out of Bangkok atm and live a good life here. I run a blog where I go more into detail - www.edgeofdavid.com/wealthy-expat/

@@Edgeofdavid Thailand is such a disgusting place, beautiful weather and country ruined by the worst polluting policies and rampant sex tourism that turned what used to be idyllic place into garbage! Don't get me started on the way they cook food! I almost vomit thinking about it again... No wonder the South of Thailand wants to become their own state...

For the price point and location, but I see your point.
