Mr.Random so far mine is fine and nothing has exploded or stopped working, just make sure you wipe off your case if you drop it and dry off your phone completely

To anybody wondering if by the speakers/charger and a bit on the screen is waterproof or water resistant: I spilt some fridge water there and it’s fine! I wiped it off with my shirt, and it works just the way it did before! It feels a bit cold though it’s been likely 30 minutes though.
Having owned 3 water resistant iPhones now I can honestly say they are great. However couple of things to note are that the camera lens gets foggy from time to time after the phone is out of water(foggy from inside) and you the speaker sounds muffled until it fully dry so you can’t make a call or listen to music at its full capacity until half an hour later

Took my iPhone 11 to a water park for 4 hours going in and out of the water taking pictures, only thing is you got to play music full volume after to get water of of the speakers, and you have to wait till the charging port dries to charge it, but it works just fine.
Guys, I highly recommend not taking pictures or videos underwater with your iPhone 11. I started doing it thinking it was ok, and then one day after taking it inside the pool, the entire screen turned green and had white streaks on it, this was after already using the underwater feature 3-4 times. When taking it to the apple store, I was told that the iPhone 11 is supposedly not designed to go into waters, but to tolerate liquids up to some point and was advised to exchange my phone for a new one.
This is usualy caused by scratches on the screen. Because of the waterproof screen, it is best recommended that if you know your phone has a scratch on it (Like me) to put on a screen protector and then you can put it underwater. Even though I am to scared to put it in water I am not loosing a perfectly good phone because of my dumb ideas🤧
JackPath I didn’t have any scratches on it. Plus, my phone has always had a screen protector since day 1 (with no scratches either). Either way, I was just sharing my story to save others from having their phone damaged too. So for anyone reading, the iPhone 11 is water resistant, not water proof ☺️✌🏼and as a gentle suggestion, don’t overdo it with the underwater pictures.

Joshean Javier when I went to the apple store, they offered to change the display screen for a standard price (you can check the website), but warned me that the screen might not latch properly and not work. Then they said that the best approach would be to exchange it for a new one where the old iPhone would be part payment for the new phone.

Don’t fall for it, I took my phone to the pool, I held the phone upside down for a few underwater pictures, I did not Sumberge it all the way in the speaker and charging port was still outside, but a tiny splash of water went into the charging port and it switched off, ever since it keeps switching off and restarting by itself it’s been a few hours since it’s been happening.
@@beansnotbeings I switched it off and put it in rice for like 6 hours but it didn’t get better, it was very hard to even switch off because it kept restarting, anyways it did not get better so I had to take it to a private tech repair store because apple doesn’t help with water damage, so the phone is fixed everything is working perfectly now other than the Face ID :( it has completely stopped working. My suggestion to you is to switch it off and not try to charge it please that can mess it even more and take it to any tech repair shop nearby apple doesn’t do shit even with a warranty if it’s water damage which is so annoying to me because they advertise it as being able to withstand water.

my wifes iphone 11 has water damage - it has been around water (sink and bathroom) but has not been underwater. The camera modules have condensation in them. The phone still works. but pictures are foggy. Apple says iphones should not be put in water. They are not water proof and they wont fix them if there is an issue. We sent ours away and they said water damage but would not give us a photo of the sim water damage indicator because its white. We've just had the worst service from apple you could imagine. They even sent us a stock picture of an iphone we sent to them saying it was ours. unbelievable
Dropped my iPhone 11 in a salt water swimming pool (about 3 feet). It was down there for 20-30 seconds before we were able to get it back up out of the water. The screen was completely unaffected. The speakers sounded a bit crackly, but after running the Eject Water shortcut, they sounded brand new! The charging port refused to charge for around 12 hours due to the presence of water in the charging port, a protective measure that ensures that no further damage occur within the phone. But, once it was completely dried out, it took charge and holds charge just like normal! 100% trustworthy if I say so myself!

But the thing is no youtuber ever charges it after its been under water so you never know never put technology under water as its still electrics water can fit through very tiny gaps holes in the phone like the charger port that will over time rust the phone up and damage the internals

Unbeknownst to me, my iPhone 11 went snorkeling with me last week in the Galápagos Islands. It was in the water for probably close to an hour and was found by a fellow snorkler in the sand at a depth of maybe 5 meters or more, she didn't specify. The phone was completely fine with one small exception, the charging port detected moisture and wouldn't charge for a few hours. I did put it in a bag of rice just in case. But only for an about half an hour and then it was fine. I am SOOOO lucky!! Finishing this trip without my phone would have been a huge problem. One more reason, I LOVE Apple products. I've owned Macs for years, zero problems, and I'll will never switch back to anything else but an Apple made product. You get what you pay for!
This phone, alongside the other apple phones to the iPhone 7 are extremely water resistant. My friend has used it in the shower since release and the speakers (most common area of water damage) work perfectly, with the rest of the phone. For all you saying ‘omg its not waterproof, have fun breaking it!!’ I highly doubt water will even get inside of it, my iPhone 7 has been in water (not purposely) a lot and works perfectly.
I had an iPhone 8 Plus and dropped it in the bath… it took me maybe 5 seconds to grab it cause I was like 3 feet from my bath ( it literally FLEW ) and got completely damaged… 😔

Looking for this video after an entire day on the beach recording stunning clips with my iPhone 11. Thought it’d be better than leaving it roasting in the sun. Natural water cooling for the 4k 60fps recording. I did it before with a Galaxy S7 years ago, no problem IP certifies very well.

I tested my iPhone 11 as well and i put it underwater with a case on for 10.03 minutes but I did notice the speaker had some muffling at high volumes but the touch and camera were totally fine
Jada Clarke The charging port was totally fine it charged perfectly fine and as far as I could tell NO water inside the iphone But you have to let it DRY OUT OVERNIGHT the next day it should be fine like brand new if NOT go to an Apple store if available
Xxprincess KenziexX you can. you just have to be careful with it because if you mess up and drop it your speaker could get clogged & it’ll fuck up ur speakers but you could fix that with sucking ur speakers and taking the water out of it. the only problem you’ll have is if you drop it you can’t charge your phone for a few hours because you would have to let the charger dry & then you could charge it.
And if water gets stuck in your speakers, don’t use a hair dryer or anything that blows air, it will just push the water farther inside. Play a high frequency sound or suck the water out.

I always shower on the phone. If you get water in your speaker, you need to play an audio frequency at 165 Hz, then the water will come out

Accidentally had this in my pocket while swimming for about 10 minutes. Phone is all good. I think it’s only a little less clear with audio by like 5%

Shower is OK, pool chlorine will damage the water resistant coating over time I have been told.
But the thing is no youtuber ever charges it after its been under water so you never know never put technology under water as its still electrics water can fit through very tiny gaps holes in the phone like the charger port that will over time rust the phone up and damage the internals

Unbeknownst to me, my iPhone 11 went snorkeling with me last week in the Galápagos Islands. It was in the water for probably close to an hour and was found by a fellow snorkler in the sand at a depth of maybe 5 meters or more, she didn't specify. The phone was completely fine with one small exception, the charging port detected moisture and wouldn't charge for a few hours. I did put it in a bag of rice just in case. But only for an about half an hour and then it was fine. I am SOOOO lucky!! Finishing this trip without my phone would have been a huge problem. One more reason, I LOVE Apple products. I've owned Macs for years, zero problems, and I'll will never switch back to anything else but an Apple made product. You get what you pay for!
BTW had I KNOWN my phone was with me and it would be OK I would have gotten some great shots of all the fish and so many giant Sea Turtles. Sigh. LOL

This phone, alongside the other apple phones to the iPhone 7 are extremely water resistant. My friend has used it in the shower since release and the speakers (most common area of water damage) work perfectly, with the rest of the phone. For all you saying ‘omg its not waterproof, have fun breaking it!!’ I highly doubt water will even get inside of it, my iPhone 7 has been in water (not purposely) a lot and works perfectly.
I had an iPhone 8 Plus and dropped it in the bath… it took me maybe 5 seconds to grab it cause I was like 3 feet from my bath ( it literally FLEW ) and got completely damaged… 😔
I was going to cry because I watched this and then I put my iPhone 11 under the tap for like 5 seconds and the sound was so bad so then I shook it and then watched this video again and it sounded the same lol

It is okay if your iPhone gets dropped into the water for few seconds, but please use water ejector asap to remove the excess water from your phone :)

Looking for this video after an entire day on the beach recording stunning clips with my iPhone 11. Thought it’d be better than leaving it roasting in the sun. Natural water cooling for the 4k 60fps recording. I did it before with a Galaxy S7 years ago, no problem IP certifies very well.

@@ibrahimiataren Yes. Still works as the first day. The problem of doing so is I damaged some charging cables (Voltage pin). But the phone works perfectly. You're right, It's better to clean the connector after drowning in salted water

After around 30 minutes a couple feet under water my iPhone 11 first wasn’t working then it was then it eventually didn’t. iPhones aren’t water proof they’re water resistant.

Dude I went snorkeling in isla mujeres and i had my phone in one of the water proof bags to my surprise after getting out of the ocean there was water in the damn bag smh I freaked out but it was all good just air dried and it worked

I dropped the 11 in the sink for like 10 sec and it works perfectly fine for me
I tested my iPhone 11 as well and i put it underwater with a case on for 10.03 minutes but I did notice the speaker had some muffling at high volumes but the touch and camera were totally fine

Jada Clarke The charging port was totally fine it charged perfectly fine and as far as I could tell NO water inside the iphone But you have to let it DRY OUT OVERNIGHT the next day it should be fine like brand new if NOT go to an Apple store if available

And it’s best not to charge it if there’s muffling in the speakers but if you really need to it’ll be ok so it can fully dry

Xxprincess KenziexX you can. you just have to be careful with it because if you mess up and drop it your speaker could get clogged & it’ll fuck up ur speakers but you could fix that with sucking ur speakers and taking the water out of it. the only problem you’ll have is if you drop it you can’t charge your phone for a few hours because you would have to let the charger dry & then you could charge it.
And if water gets stuck in your speakers, don’t use a hair dryer or anything that blows air, it will just push the water farther inside. Play a high frequency sound or suck the water out.
