    This was my dream car at one point, back when I first started working my boss bought one, pops and I had to pull the rear end and line up the frame, getting that top to work right was a nightmare. After that i no longer dreamed of them 😂

    I had exactly the same problem about 10 yrs. ago. I simply cut a small metal plate about 1.5mm thick and put it underneath the teeth block, which basically raised the teeth up to fit more snugly in the gear cog. It worked perfectly and still does. That cost me approx. zero.

      @@fedup3449hey bro, same issue here! Can I ask you more details about your solution, was about to try the fixing Hayden shows in the video (thanx dude super well made btw) but if I can get it done by your simpler “out of the box” add on that would be a blast!
      Can you get in touch with me? :) thanks again!!

      @@juliusburnsworth2257 If you open up the padel area you'll see an aluminium bar with teeth. Those teeth have lost a few microns of depth with use. Just remove that bar and put a thin wedge underneath it so as to raise the teeth. Now they will engage with the cog once more. Simple.

    Mine says partition isnt closed but it is an the top wont open ? Any ideas

    • @Haydenschreiermk2
      @Haydenschreiermk2  Год назад

      yes more than likely the "soft close" feature on your car is broken and the trunk doesnt think it is closed when it is. people slam it to close it and then it works, which typically breaks the parts that you saw me replace. otherwise theres a possibility that the partition needs to be opened and closed and made sure its fully seated, you can also check if it is getting a signal

    • @Haydenschreiermk2
      @Haydenschreiermk2  7 месяцев назад

      if you have the orginal factory ones then yes its most likely the problem as i believe they were made of plastic and these are now metal. check and see what you have on. if they are metal than you might just need to reset the teeth in it and tighten it

      @@Haydenschreiermk2 try 9,000
      Depending on condition top sellers rn like at Mecum auction have gone to 20-30,000 but those are in crazy nice condition with 20,000 miles I got mine for 24,000 with 30,000 miles
      It is crazy after MSRP in 2003 it was 115,000 with calculating the inflation over 20 years it would have been 188,000 USD today
      But it’s a depreciating asset crazy to think you would have had to have the equivalence of 200,000 dollars in 2003 but now it’s around 10,000
