Can this process be reversed when removing roof after stuck in up position due to accident and roll bars or is there a pressure valve that needs to be released in advanced?
I’m working on the issue with convertible top in on my 2020 C300 W205 US model and I have a problem releasing the latch. There is square (not hexagon) pin on latch motor. I bought 5 and 5.5mm square sockets and they are too small. 6mm flat wrench is too large. I was using vise grip pliers, but pin started to strip and I had to stop using it, but issue is still not fixed. Does anyone know what tool (square socket) I can buy to release soft top. In the trunk 6mm Allen key is correct one. I would appreciate your help.
@@CabrioletTech Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. You mean to file square pin on the motor to fit 5.5mm socket I bought? I went to Mercedes dealer parts and service departments again today and they couldn't find the tool for it. Strange.
Thanks alot. Can you please do a video on how to release role bars deployed due to accident?

Just file down at 6mm square to fit....
I'm sure there's a tool available from Mercedes Benz
