Guys what’s a piece that has some type of complication that I can get from Patek for 80-100k that will keep you guys agree will keep its value. That you guys have in stock please !!
So many picks to choose from but for me if you are looking for complications + everyday wearability for this pricepoint Id consider the 5905 or my personal favorite the 5960. You can get the 5960 in a white or black dial in steel with a steel bracelet and it's an automatic flyback annual calendar chronograph. The steel white dial version you can even find in the 70 range which I think is insane value! If interested I'd be happy to share more details feel free to reach out by DM on instagram @marcof.lb or by email marco@luxurybazaar.com 🙏
Haha yes I was actually wearing my Batgirl in this, great catch! 😆 I think Lange is no doubt up there as one of the best brands for movements in the industry. The German silver in combination with blued screws, different finishing techniques and the pop of gold from the gold chatons holding the jewels in place is so aesthetically pleasing 🔥

I really loved this segment guys.. maybe you can show some brands who make the most affordable perpetuals, minute repeater or complete grand complications. I know most of them are really expensive. But are there brands who can offer a complication for the price of a submariner?
Awesome to hear this Tonnie! Definitely would be a great video topic!! I actually just filmed a video with Roman which should be uploaded at some point about affordable Patek Philippe watches but I definitely can focus in on some great value perpetual calendars in a video for sure 😁🙌
I would love that.. not everybody has a 100k to spend on a watch. I know longines offers some really nice affordable complications. JLC also ofcourse. But for example I bought a Zorbello last year. It has a Chinese movement but with a genuine tourbillion. I was really sceptic of buying it but I’m glad I did. I love that watch and it’s even more accurate than some of my Swiss watches. I paid 1100 for it with a tourbillion movement. The lume is also crazy on this watch. Don’t know anything about the durability yet but untill now I have nothing bad to say about it. Looking forward for the next video.. 😃✌🏻
Fantastic discussion panel, keep it up guys. I really enjoy Marco’s encyclopedic knowledge and delivery; only genuine passion drives anyone there. Most sales people in boutiques or authorised dealers will not go that far as they almost certainly aim for the “good enough, it’s just a job” approach as they could be selling anything from burgers to real estate to cars, etc… I agree that independents deserve much more recognition but this can only happen with clients who have genuine passion rather than the ones just trailing the Jones’ hype for the sake of “being in”, most customers are from this later category and this is why big houses dont have to do much more than what they do today… Now, having said that, Patek Philippe seems to still be pushing the bondaries with the rather high technology 10th second chronometer they released this year. I would have loved to see a Laurent Ferrier as his work as an independent after 37 years at Patek Philippe is great.
Thank you!! Agree with a lot of what you have to say. I think the whole hype market is good given it exposes people to watches more generally and then people who get into the hobby can learn to love the artistic side of watchmaking! 😁🙌 Patek has been doing some innovation in recent years but are really a shell of their former selves in many respects. Again that's just my opinion. Feels like they have become very conservative in recent years but at the same time it also seems that recent releases from Patek have been much more daring which I really like!

Appreciate it! We look off to the side because the closeups you see of the watches on screen are actually on a screen off to the side so easy to us to forget to stare into the right camera instead of looking at the watch closeups hahaha 😁🙌
These watches should only be bought on the secondary market and at a major discount unless you like losing lots of $$$. Even when you go to sell these type of watches to the grey market these scoundrels will knock it down as a watch that’s “hard to sell” or “hard to move” and will opt that you consign it for months on your dime or sell and an even greater loss. Bottom line is buy the watch cause you like it and you have no intention of selling.
Sometimes its fun to just sitback and listen. I do it all the time when Roman and Adrian are talking watches. Although in this video I had a lot to say haha 😆🙌

@@MarcoFerranteWatches no worries keep up the good work! Impressive to see you more than carry your weight in a horological conversation with a couple guys in the business for so long…and schooling them haha.
@@snookeredinbc6017 Haha trust me when I say Roman and Adrian are no joke when it comes to experience and watch knowledge. Blessed to be able to learn from them on a daily basis 😁🙌
I know this is up for debate, but I would compare Max Busser more to F. P. Journe. Gerald Genta deserves recognition for his contribution to watch making. However, Busser & Journe are contemporary and have taken watch design/engineering to an artisan level. Both of these men are designing one-of-a-kind "masterpieces" that stand out from the rest of the industry. They both focus on making beautiful, hand made, original, high quality pieces in low volume (which makes their watches even more unique). If you went back to the Renaissance period, both Busser & Journe can be compared to Michel Angelo who was both a designer & engineer. IMHO.
I actually never thought of it that way, but you definitely have a solid argument! Need to think on it a bit more but it's hard for me to disagree with you!! 😁🙌
Point of the video was to highlight underrated watch brands that are overlooked and have held value well despite the correction. And showcase independent watch brands some of which people may have never hear of. Clearly you missed what we were discussing entirely or simply didn't watch the video...
Just how many 100,000+ dollar watches do you guys move in a year? How many people have the scratch to buy these as toys instead of as "investments". If the majority of the market is buying them as "investments" then by definition they are a bubble asset. When most of the market wants a object just to eventually flip it, not for its inherent use, then prices are determined by speculation not actual end user demand. None of the guys in this video are "investing in watches" they want to move merchandise as fast as possible, not sit on it and hope it appreciates. They are spinning you a tale about "watches as investments" to do it.
You would be shocked. I have sold multiple $100,000+ watches on a somewhat monthly basis and have been only working for LB for 6 months. That's just my experience so I'm sure that's even more amplified for Roman, Adrian and Ana. Sure some buy to flip, there's no doubt. But in my experience many buy and hold. Some of these $100k+ watches are just great and easy to wear. The fact that they are good stores of value or potentially good investments is secondary. I think it also helps when we've been preaching watches are not investments for years and always said buy what you like first and foremost 👍
@@MarcoFerranteWatches You used to preach watches are not investments. I remember years ago Roman saying that in nearly every single video. He used to say openly that watch collectors should expect to lose money. He has changed his view however and openly promotes watches as investments like in this video. The idea of watches as investment has massively increased the demand for ultra expensive watches. I mean as a personal toy I could never consider a Lange never mind a Gronfeld, but I could if I pulled some of my retirement savings on the notion that this was an "investment"... Men like me lust after these status symbols, telling me that I can justify my irrational desire for an unnecessary good as some sort of financial wisdom is unethical. This game you guys are playing will suck in some men who are really going to get hurt by it.
@@r3771-n2r not at all the case really. The entire video was to showcase undervalued and overlooked brands and models that have held steady even in a market dip 👍
Roman thse are words just words, if you actually own one of those watches and try to resell it you will discover that excluding the two or three iconic reference you have to give a huge discount over the price once paid.
That's not necessarily true depending on how long ago you bought the watch. For those who bought into AP, Patek, Rolex, MB&F, DeBethune or any of the other watch brands mentioned, these actually have shown to have a proven track record of price increases over time. Sure on any given year trading in your watch may not be ideal but over time these have proven to be winners 😁🙌
@@MarcoFerranteWatches Marco it depends on what side of the table you are, I have been calling few times the so called "dealer" in order to sell some watches of my collection and the offer was allways below the price I had paid for them. I am talking of good and regognised brands adquired only through AD. If you find directly a final customer interested that has the trust to buy may be you're able to recover what paid, but passing through an intermediary is a secure loss. Unless you're selling the 4 or 5 super iconic watches that we all know, and unless you have bought them to an AD.
@@giusepperuffini4001 i can tell you for a fact you are wrong as I have had many clients sell watches they are taking a profit on. Again they didnt buy those watches yesterday but a few years ago. Time is an important factor to consider in this equation 👍
@@MarcoFerranteWatchesProbably, may be, but, In my own experience I prooved the contrary. However from a dealer point of view I understand that the message have to be differnt. I think that buying watches is for pleasure and I do not see it as an investment.
I know it's a weird thing to say at the 2min mark: THANK YOU Marco fro saying it Patek (in Patek Philippe) the right way (wipes a tear away) aaand then he stabs my ears again at the 3 minute mark saying "paddeck"
Haha you know what it is, in a relaxed setting like this its very easy to get lazy and pronounce things haphazardly lol .. But noted for the future 😁👍 Hope you enjoyed this!
@@MarcoFerranteWatches I always do! These clips are as engaging as the "grey market" episodes (for me). Roman tho'... will probably always say it paddeck hahaha
Awesome to hear this! It's a crazy but amazing journey to go on. Like you, I am totally hooked. Don't think there is a better hobby than watch collecting 😁🙌
Most of what we showcased has really hit its max depreciation level. Most of these selections are what we call stable risers for good reason because that's exactly what they've shown to be for more than a decade. But sure, whatever you say 👍
These unknown pieces will continue to deprecate, in a recessed economy. This recession were in is one we have never seen before, it will be a while before it recovers or a change in government.... don't see Warren Buffett sinking his money$$ in stable risers or the watch market. This return is a lifetime wait, be prepared to hold on to these.
Vintage and Neo Vintage Rolex are a fantastic means to get a watch with a lot of charm and character made also in far fewer quantities than modern references. These watches also have held value well as they never got the price push modern Rolex did and so are holding steady even in the current market 😁🙌
I MISSED THIS EPISODE? BUT NOW IVE WATCHED IT, I LOVE HOW ROME HAS ALLOWED THIS YOUNG FELLAS CONFIDENCE JUST BLOSSOM AND GROW.... ROME WHAT A FKN MENTOR BABY!!!! 😀😀😁😁😊😊☺☺😅😅
Patek - Complication Cartier - Elegance Independents - Innovation Btw I am coming around to RM in a big way. Honestly they may be "hype watches" but there is no doubt they are extremely well made 🔥
Wasn't the goal at all. Was really meant to showcase undervalued brands and watchmakers that we personally love. We just used the example of watches we have in our inventory to at least give some physical representation of what we are talking about 👍

@@MarcoFerranteWatches I'm sure some people will trust anything you say and then...could lose a lot of money. It is important to say that watches are not investments.
How can you talk about independents and not mention FPJ?!? Also, Patek, Rolex, AP and several other brands are independent- not owned by huge conglomerates that mostly stamp watches.
@@MarcoFerranteWatches Lange over all. I would call it a bit a nasty word play, because in the past the German Hymn the first part was „Deutschland über alles“ and I think with his comment he referred to that. This part is by the way forbidden in Germany today because it was used by the Nazis.

@@MarcoFerranteWatches I watch a lot of your content and this may not be one of the fun and flashy episodes, but it sure as heck was chop full of info. Now when you guys are speaking in those models, I'll be able to relate even just a little. Keep up the great content.
Them Pateks are glistening. They shinin!
Mint fresh hahaha 😁🙌
Constructive criticism - Marco try to reduce the amount of times you say “right” in your conversation. Great episode a lot of horological knowledge in this episode thx
Will do, appreciate the feedback! Thanks for the kind words and your support, glad you enjoyed this!! 😁🙌
Favourite episode from you guys yet.
Thanks so much Paul! Really glad you enjoyed this!! 😁🙌
Marco = Badass + Roman = Badass-i-er + Adrian = Badass-i-est. Mic Drop.
Haha awesome! Appreciate it and hope you enjoyed this 😁🙌
Didn’t cover Rolex on this episode of QVC :(
Point of the video was to highlight underrated watch brands that are overlooked and have held value well despite the correction. And showcase independent watch brands some of which people may have never hear of. Clearly you missed what we were discussing entirely or simply didn't watch the video...
Please do more videos like this!!!
Will do! Thanks for the support 😁🙌
Well said, my thoughts exactly!
Guy on left has tiny hands!!!
Sabrina is fitter then last week!
I know it's a weird thing to say at the 2min mark: THANK YOU Marco fro saying it Patek (in Patek Philippe) the right way (wipes a tear away)
aaand then he stabs my ears again at the 3 minute mark saying "paddeck"
Haha you know what it is, in a relaxed setting like this its very easy to get lazy and pronounce things haphazardly lol .. But noted for the future 😁👍 Hope you enjoyed this!
@@MarcoFerranteWatches I always do! These clips are as engaging as the "grey market" episodes (for me). Roman tho'... will probably always say it paddeck hahaha
@@AdrianCiubotariu 😆 Glad to hear it, appreciate your support on both channels! 🙏
Roman is so right, I started with the hype, now.... well let's just say I went down the rabbit hole lol
Awesome to hear this! It's a crazy but amazing journey to go on. Like you, I am totally hooked. Don't think there is a better hobby than watch collecting 😁🙌
The key is wait , prices will go lower. We are just getting started They are just trying to sell depreciating Inventory
They not stupid, that's exactly what LB is doing in a depreciating market... Unload merchandise, prices will go lower.
Also: my brand new casio duro in black
Got it today and can't imagine my life without it
Nice! Enjoy it in good health 😁🙌
@@MarcoFerranteWatches cheers! :)
I would buy a lot of early 80’s 5513 maxi dial. Or nipple dial gold subs
Vintage and Neo Vintage Rolex are a fantastic means to get a watch with a lot of charm and character made also in far fewer quantities than modern references. These watches also have held value well as they never got the price push modern Rolex did and so are holding steady even in the current market 😁🙌
Marco is a fucking superstar

Vacheron-class
AP-sport
RM- 💩
Patek - Complication
Cartier - Elegance
Independents - Innovation
Btw I am coming around to RM in a big way. Honestly they may be "hype watches" but there is no doubt they are extremely well made 🔥
Told my dad I've been trying to learn about watches. He told me it's a fad. Lol idk how to argue with him
Just send him this video haha!! 😁🙌
Very QVC feeling video
Wasn't the goal at all. Was really meant to showcase undervalued brands and watchmakers that we personally love. We just used the example of watches we have in our inventory to at least give some physical representation of what we are talking about 👍
LB logo is coooooolll!!
So good! Our graphics designer Christian killed it imo. Outstanding design 🔥

How so?
@@MarcoFerranteWatches I'm sure some people will trust anything you say and then...could lose a lot of money. It is important to say that watches are not investments.
@@fa5234 we've never preached watches as investments. Simply seeking to showcase watches that are undervalued and overlooked 👍
Total Clickbait title. Nothing is recession proof.
RIGHT?, RIGHT?, RIGHT?.... ALL I CAN FOCUS ON IS HIM SAYING, "right?" At the end of every sentence. Love the show but that was torture. 😁
How can you talk about independents and not mention FPJ?!? Also, Patek, Rolex, AP and several other brands are independent- not owned by huge conglomerates that mostly stamp watches.

Lange over all.
I would call it a bit a nasty word play, because in the past the German Hymn the first part was „Deutschland über alles“ and I think with his comment he referred to that.
This part is by the way forbidden in Germany today because it was used by the Nazis.
