Another reason why Pièce Unique depreciate a lot is because of them being a custom orther based on a single person's taste. The demand from people with that same exact taste is very small. Kind of like modified cars, a general rule of thumb is that they tend to sell for less than all original ones.

@@saljablo2767 WatchPro magazine online in January or February interviewed GP’s CEO. The CEO stated he is limiting GP’s annual output to 25,000 watches. I interpreted this to mean he is focused on quality and keeping unit count reasonable so the brand does not have to sell at discount or be dumped on the grey market. Time will tell, but at least the management team owns the brand and is driven to succeed.
Video ideas:
- client collections and you can highlight specific watches your team helped them acquire.
- “Life with a watch” can be a series where you document and show the acquisition and sale of a specific watch. All the steps that entails.
- Reference number break down. Informative video where you breakdown a popular reference and all the variations.
- “Best collection for $$$$”: best recommendations for 100k/500k etc etc
- Watch brand history: detail history, important models and maybe important marketing moments of the brand

BREITLING Chronomat Limited Edition WAYNE GRETZKY, only 50 made. Almost impossible to find.
Really don't think you'll ever unload that GP for any meaningful margin, unless you can convince Travis/Coach to buy it back from you.
The background really needs some color. Everything is Grey and cold when watching the show. I highly recommend raising the Luxury Bazar sign and placing a Multi color LED behind it. And you can choose the color you want. That will give your show a bit of warmth. Plus the camera position or angel on the watch display is very bad. It would be nicer to have a camera that can zoom in on the watches from above. You guys don't realize that you can utilize this moment to market or promote your watches. With the current camera angel you can't see the watches in clear detail. I am sure if the watches were presented with a closer zoom from above and better lighting.... A lot of people would appreciate them more and might actually be interested in the watch. Just my opinion 🙏
FYI, genta did actually say which design he liked the most: the nautilus. If you visit the PP museum in Geneva, you would see that they proudly amplify this statement from genta in the nautilus section
Ironically, both the AP & Patek designs seem to be more popular (or more hyped) then his own Genta branded watches. Not sure why.

No AP´s are rare, AP is a master of putting in limited editions, they are also increasing supply. Becoming more like a Panerai. Lange, Journe´s Gronefelds, Kari etc are RARE.
These are my favorite videos on this channel. Always so much information and detail with a lot of knowledge to back it up.
It is was a Hispano-Suiza or a custom bodied Ferrari from the first half of the 20th it would be a priceless piece unique. Idk piece unique watches often don't get all the attention they deserve unless they were owned by celebs or royalties, it's pretty much as with all other jewelry...
Its like Nike ID they are one of one but it isnt an official release so its only worth that to the person that commisioned it
My grail was the first zenith I got, the 1972 A386 El Primero, they now are about 6x what I paid for... I wanted to wait until I was 50 to start collecting my "grails" but I don't regret starting earlier.

Very annoying that he didn't give market value on half the watches. Reasons for rarity are interesting but people always chase the money. I had a shot at a Nautilus "old Jumbo" 24 years ago with the "old jumbo" bracelet (gold) . Slightly used price $6k. I didn't buy and have considered self flagellation ever since.
Every collector has a similar story. The other myth in watch collecting is “once I buy this model then I am done adding to my collection”. Ah, the fun of watch collecting…

A view from the UK. As you know there are 2 primary areas associated with most things - Form & Function. In this case the form is the jewellery aspect - how pretty it looks and its function - telling the time. The function of watches today is not in doubt, they all tell the time, what concerns me is their "Look". For me, the most plain, boring watches you have presented regularly are the Patek Philippe Nautilus without any complication and the very similar Audemars Piguet Royal oak without complication. I think they get sales, like Rolex, by their name and reputation. The argument i get shot back at me is that they are "Understated". My response is when you get to this level of price and quality they are ALL statement pieces. In other words the wearer WANTS their watch - like jewellery - to be noticed, to make a statement. For me, like your wife or girlfriend when you first met, it was their "look" that was the first thing you notice. It is the same with watches and jewellery too. Why do you think they Make them in Platinum, white/yellow/rose gold. S/steel, carbon fibre etc. Why they swamp them with diamonds, Why they make them in ludicrous shapes, (Jacob & Co, MB & FCo don't get me started)? Very rarely, if ever, have i heard you voice your own opinion regarding the "Look" of a watch being "not to your taste". As a dealer you have the opportunity of wearing a different expensive watch every day. We the, Plebeians,' don't have that luxury. Normally we own just one and for that reason we accept as a given it will tell the time so it is therefore down to its "Look". Great channel BTW., i'm binge watching at the moment just enjoying seeing the beauty & craftmanship in those hand made movements.

Limited edition in industrial design is non existent. These prices are still stupid and based only on marketing. Get a cad cam program, underpay the designer and digital modeler but the machine doesn’t care. Could knock out one or one thousand. This is marketing. Kudos.
