I had Russian Dwarf hamsters for a while, and despite them all being pretty bloodthirsty, I loved them to bits. I can never take these creatures seriously, they always look so daft, except of course when they’re biting (either you or each other).

BBC really need to work on their RUclips video titles...in every other clip there's nothing referring to the title. Only one hamster = hamsters, and no fighting at all (only a struggle with one candle).

I assume they can tell the difference between beeswax used in church candles and paraffin wax in normal candles. Paraffin wax would be a nasty laxative for them.
Maybe they are able to eat candle wax cuz they been in the wild for so long unlike domesticated hamster who are used to pellet,veggies,treats and other things
