I honestly do wish for a continuation of this story, the idea of Godzilla feeling robbed of respect he desired from unfair and uncaring world, the start of a villain. It’s only a matter of time before he snaps.
I don't think Godzilla cares about respect. He works for a higher goal like maintaining balance in nature, he loves to remember the time when people respected him and revered him as a god, but he spends all his free time sleeping and only wakes up when he feels a threat to the planet. He put up with the destructive titans many times and gave them second chances (Scylla, Tiamat and Amhuluk), but if they stepped out of line then he simply kills them without caring about opinions.
I’d tweak this idea a bit: For one, I don’t think Goji should become a full blown villain, rather just barely reach crossing that line before he realizes Hedorah is manipulating him. Two, I would put emphasis on not only Goji feeling he doesn’t get respect, but also that he doesn’t get gratitude, especially from humanity. I mean, he used to coexist with them in the ancient past when they respected and worshipped him because he protected them and their world, but nowadays they hate him and always try to kill them despite how many times he’s bailed them out of much worse situations.

I can imagine a somewhat emotional scene where Godzilla and Mothra forgive each other for their previous misunderstandings and reform their alliance.
A good hero godzilla slowly going insane/tired of shit/powerhungry/tyrannical and eventually destroys everything like tohos godzilla sounds like an AMAZING concept.
Seen how Adam Wingard said he wants to make a more Godzilla focused movie after GxK and making it emotionally similar to Godzilla vs Destoroyah I think this is a total possibility for where the story could go next in the Monsterverse. Especially with how aggressive Godzilla has gotten.

The best of what that universe has to offer from my watch is Godzilla 2014 with Bryan Cranston. Everything else have been balls to the walls, disjointed, cartoony, and complete pop corny. While i agree both are doing two completely different things, i say that the former has far better execution than the latter. All you have to do is look at the more recent entry New Empire to see how much of a joke that universe have become. It's fine that you liked it, but it is nowhere near executed well as Minus has. There is reason many are raving for that film, and not whatever the hell Toho Co is doing with their 'universe'.

Also you can call Gxk a joke if you want, but to one of things I love about the film is how it’s trying new things instead of trying to recycle the same things that we have seen over and over again. Yes it uses the shows style as a bases but at it tries new things with that style. Also while I agree Godzilla minus one is the better film, that doesn’t mean the film is free on any major flaws. My main criticism with the film as great as the film overall is. Looking back, not gonna lie, the ending, kinda sucks.
Okay let me elaborate, it’s not bad but a lot of of the things in the ending feel like they had no real reason or in some cases undo some of the things of the film. Like Godzilla being alive at the end while cool it kinda undoes the victory of the humans beating him, yes I know it’s part of his character to regenerate but it feels less like a good plot twist and more like cheap sequel bait, like you can’t tell me they couldn’t have shown that scene in the beginning a sequel to minus one, it really don’t need to be there. Also the girl being alive at the end only for it to tease she is dying of radiation poisoning from Godzilla blast feels really unnecessary, like the main character already went through his ark of learning to let go of and living for the people he has to live for. He got his happy ending one he deserves, to bring back the girl he loved to just reveal she is going to die anyway feels like it’s falling into the trope of let’s make out main character suffer just because it tragic, like bro, he’s already suffered, yes it makes them relatable but you also need to let them taken a win for once.
The way Rodan looks like a dissipating black mass I was wondering if he was a creation of Hedorah, but the way Mothra seemed like she was rejecting Godzilla was almost a gut punch (unless remembering the early years). I find it interesting how Hedorah (a shape-shifting pollution monster) would be the one to "comfort" Godzilla even if pushing him to destroy everything would also burn him/it
Hedorah’s probably manipulating Godzilla and toying with his emotions to help push him towards a path of evil and destruction. Why? Because the death, destruction and smoke left behind in Godzilla’s wake when he rampages is more pollution for Hedorah to feed on.
While Kong has finally found his place in hollow earth, Godzilla is losing it his place as king of monsters and becoming more like his TOHO counterparts... *HALLELUJAH!!!*

@@maylabrown4584 Godzilla: Minus One had a very evil Godzilla in it as well, and even though Shin can be argued to be "evil" to a degree, that one is more tragic than anything else. Also, Godzilla in the MV during GxK was legit told to have been dealing with trauma after dealing with Ghidorah and MechaG, so him being very aggressive is honestly perfect for what he's been dealing with. Not gonna lie, I honestly am waiting for him to finally snap at humanity for making him put up with a lot of their mistakes, and if he goes all evil on them, they kinda do deserve it. I mean, he CAN get hostile to humans, so him finally getting fed up is quite the possibility.

Also I'm not sure why you would use Shin as an example since his only personality trait is that he's constantly suffering but trying to survive anything that comes his way because all he has left is his life. The only things he would be frustrated about are not being left alone and his own existence. Zilla Junior from the animated series would fit better, as well as Showa who you mentioned. On the large however, this just isn't who Godzilla is, especially not the Godzilla being used in the fanfiction, that's why I find it weird.

I said Shin because he seems to be morally better than other Godzillas, even if that is because he is in too much pain to really consider revenge. The King of all Monsters seems to be on odd terms with Kong and Mothra seems to be the one titan he can consider a friend which is pathetic compared to the many he used to have back in the other movies and in the recent ones he just keeps offing his own subjects.

I genuinely feel bad for godzilla in this situation. While Hedorah or whomever he talked to at the end is technically right they (the other kaiju) really aren't looking at the BIG picture. Hmm, I wonder what would the world look like if goji did absolutely nothing ay? If we go by order of movies (haven't watched the newest one tho) the Muto would probably have rapidly reproduced into a whole ass army and would be destroying the world. But lets say the military succeeded in killing the eggs and lets go a step farther saying they found a way to kill the adult Muto. Ghidorah would still screw the world over entirely, likely forcing every other kaiju to go rampant. Godzilla vs Kong as well as mechagodzilla would probably never happen. Thinking on it aren't we glad we haven't been destroyed by a Muto army or a near un-killable thunder dragon (and his enslaved army of kaiju)?
Actually, I'm sure that most people are scared but they know trying to stop him is like outrunning a hurricane or tsunami. Based on the ending of "Godzilla King of the Monsters (2019)" the line; "I'm glad he's on our side." works so well because while Godzilla is essentially defending what he views as his territory the fact he destroys human cities barely registers as a problem, but if he'd wanted to strike at humanity he could go much further

An example was in "Superman vs. The Elite" when Clark stops pulling his punches against the Elite, though it's all an act he still shows just how dangerous he could be if he wasn't "hindered" by morality
I would love to see hedorah show up in a movie and it's like this living wade of poison and death that kills everything in it's wake like a plague with those creepy red eyes glowing. It could be interesting to see biollante in the same movie. Battle between poison and nature and Godzilla and Kong that tries to stop first one then the other until they all join forces against hedorah who has grown exponentially by feeding on some factory or something
After GVK i've always wondered what happened to godzilla, Even more after GXK, From a forgiving and protective ruler to a cruel selfish tyrant who only appears to protect the earth because he considers it his territory and any creature who dares slightly oppose him gets brutally executed for all to see.
The idea of Godzilla in the MonsterVerse is clear, he is a natural force to maintain balance, the planet is his territory, as he is one with the planet, he feels the planet, the world is in him. So anything that imbalance the natural balance that Godzilla will act to neutralize the threat is nothing more than that. The problem is that are starting to romanticize Godzilla's role, It's not like he's a tyrant, he's basically the only one who's capable of maintaining that kind of balance.

Then one day, she got greedy for more and thought she could dethrone Godzilla, first going on a radiation binge described in GxK The Hunted, then started warming the planet to call Godzilla out as described in the GxK TNE novelization, and then attacking Rome to lure Godzilla to her so they could fight. So basically, Scylla was an overconfident bitch disrupting the planet’s balance intentionally to anger Godzilla, and she paid the price for being so arrogant. Amhuluk isn’t a “big game hunter” he just wanted Behemoth’s territory but their fighting was doing too much damage to the region. After the fight was ended by Godzilla, Amhuluk found another territory without any Titans present and he’s been content to stay there ever since. As for Rodan, he’s just on vacation in Fiji. After KOTM, he learned to mind his own business when the other Titans get riled up. So all in all, Godzilla’s doing just fine ruling over the other Titans, especially when we consider the gaps in years between each movie where no major Titan events occurred, precisely because Godzilla was keeping the peace.

It shouldn’t be. Because Final Wars Goji wasn’t a villain. Humanity sealed him away in ice, then thawed him out to use him against the Xiliens. Also, if you paid attention, he only kills the Kaiju who deserve it. Granted most of them are under mind control so you could argue they don’t…..but notice how he doesn’t kill Anguirus, Rodan or King Caesar. He knocks them out and leaves them behind to likely snap out of it. Nor does he attack Mothra in the movie when she comes to help. He’s an active thinker. He may have been vengeful throughout the movie until Minilla convinced him to let his rage go…..but that doesn’t make him a villain.
It is Godzilla, but as a destructive and bloodthirsty monster. It’s an image from Godzilla’s mind, he’s imagining himself becoming the very thing he hates the most.

@@maylabrown4584 Godzilla: Minus One had a very evil Godzilla in it as well, and even though Shin can be argued to be "evil" to a degree, that one is more tragic than anything else. Also, Godzilla in the MV during GxK was legit told to have been dealing with trauma after dealing with Ghidorah and MechaG, so him being very aggressive is honestly perfect for what he's been dealing with. Not gonna lie, I honestly am waiting for him to finally snap at humanity for making him put up with a lot of their mistakes, and if he goes all evil on them, they kinda do deserve it. I mean, he CAN get hostile to humans, so him finally getting fed up is quite the possibility.

Because the way I see it, that really fucked him up bad after seeing her die in front of him, which is why he's been so aggressive in GvK and GxK up until she came back. Obviously I was talking about just the Monsterverse Goji since that's who this over-anthropomorphized fanfiction is bout. Also I'm not sure why you would use Shin as an example since his only personality trait is that he's constantly suffering but trying to survive anything that comes his way because all he has left is his life. The only things he would be frustrated about are not being left alone and his own existence. Zilla Junior from the animated series would fit better, as well as Showa who you mentioned.
On the large however, this just isn't who Godzilla is, especially not the Godzilla being used in the fanfiction, that's why I find it weird.

I said Shin because he seems to be morally better than other Godzillas, even if that is because he is in too much pain to really consider revenge. He also seemed to be less motivated to cause deatruction.

I genuinely feel bad for godzilla in this situation. While Hedorah or whomever he talked to at the end is technically right they (the other kaiju) really aren't looking at the BIG picture. Hmm, I wonder what would the world look like if goji did absolutely nothing ay? If we go by order of movies (haven't watched the newest one tho) the Muto would probably have rapidly reproduced into a whole ass army and would be destroying the world. But lets say the military succeeded in killing the eggs and lets go a step farther saying they found a way to kill the adult Muto. Ghidorah would still screw the world over entirely, likely forcing every other kaiju to go rampant. Godzilla vs Kong as well as mechagodzilla would probably never happen. Thinking on it aren't we glad we haven't been destroyed by a Muto army or a near un-killable thunder dragon (and his enslaved army of kaiju)?

Actually, I'm sure that most people are scared but they know trying to stop him is like outrunning a hurricane or tsunami. Based on the ending of "Godzilla King of the Monsters (2019)" the line; "I'm glad he's on our side." works so well because while Godzilla is essentially defending what he views as his territory the fact he destroys human cities barely registers as a problem, but if he'd wanted to strike at humanity he could go much further
@@waki_hack3359The fear is present with both Superman and Godzilla, they protect humanity and Earth (to different degrees) but if they wanted to destroy those "beneath them" they could do so with relative impunity. An example was in "Superman vs. The Elite" when Clark stops pulling his punches against the Elite, though it's all an act he still shows just how dangerous he could be if he wasn't "hindered" by morality
Like he doesn't brutally eviscerate anything that opposes him even if it's suttle, This isn't the same as in 2014

The idea of Godzilla in the MonsterVerse is clear, he is a natural force to maintain balance, the planet is his territory, as he is one with the planet, he feels the planet, the world is in him. So anything that imbalance the natural balance that Godzilla will act to neutralize the threat is nothing more than that. The problem is that are starting to romanticize Godzilla's role, It's not like he's a tyrant, he's basically the only one who's capable of maintaining that kind of balance.

Titans truly appear to not be meant to be ruled. Wouldn't it be bizarre if they were ruled in the old ages? The only ones who needed to be checked were the MUTOs, And it was part of their ecology, Godzilla simply can't manage this world correctly it seems.

Then one day, she got greedy for more and thought she could dethrone Godzilla, first going on a radiation binge described in GxK The Hunted, then started warming the planet to call Godzilla out as described in the GxK TNE novelization, and then attacking Rome to lure Godzilla to her so they could fight.
So basically, Scylla was an overconfident bitch disrupting the planet’s balance intentionally to anger Godzilla, and she paid the price for being so arrogant.
Amhuluk isn’t a “big game hunter” he just wanted Behemoth’s territory but their fighting was doing too much damage to the region. After the fight was ended by Godzilla, Amhuluk found another territory without any Titans present and he’s been content to stay there ever since.
As for Rodan, he’s just on vacation in Fiji. After KOTM, he learned to mind his own business when the other Titans get riled up.
So all in all, Godzilla’s doing just fine ruling over the other Titans, especially when we consider the gaps in years between each movie where no major Titan events occurred, precisely because Godzilla was keeping the peace.

It shouldn’t be. Because Final Wars Goji wasn’t a villain. Humanity sealed him away in ice, then thawed him out to use him against the Xiliens. Also, if you paid attention, he only kills the Kaiju who deserve it. Granted most of them are under mind control so you could argue they don’t…..but notice how he doesn’t kill Anguirus, Rodan or King Caesar. He knocks them out and leaves them behind to likely snap out of it. Nor does he attack Mothra in the movie when she comes to help. He’s an active thinker. He may have been vengeful throughout the movie until Minilla convinced him to let his rage go…..but that doesn’t make him a villain.
