I'm so stoked to be back riding my E-Bike. The Marin Alpine Trail E1 is my first electric mountain bike and riding it feels so fun and different. I upgraded some bike parts on the bike to make this bike feel really rad and then went to Woburn Bike Park to ride the new build on some of the downhill trails there. The pedal assist power feels insane and I can't to ride this bike more. It definitely beats the stink E... Enjoy!

Hey Matt just wanted to say thanks. Used to shred many years ago and now I'm in my mid 40's recovering from a broken lower back and am savagely over weight and unfit. Found your channel a few weeks ago and have watched most of your videos and am now saving up to get my first mountain bike in over 20 years. Keep up the amazing work and kudos to you Ben and Jamie for the MTB entertainment!!

Leaving piles of rubbish next to full bins is such a british problem, ffs it's not someone else's responsibility if you leave it like that, it's your responsibility and you should take it home! it's a disgrace and I don't know why people think like that.

I much more prefer this way of filming, the first person pov that you get with the gopro always makes the trail and jumps you are riding look less extreme. This way you get a good feal of the jumps and corners you are riding.
Agreed, the sense of speed and height feels much better on static shots. Ben did a solid job on mixing the two on this one!

PNW is Vancouver, Washington and Oregon Matt. Basically the UK climate but with steep mountains lmao.
Despite the border we all pretty much associate as one and it's a Snowboard/Ski/Mountain Bike Mecha. Despite the hundreds of miles of land it spans people generally are very similar in that area too.
Chill as hell people who are ready to shred rain or shine. Us down here in Washington and Oregon just enjoy much less crowded trails :)

The Pacific northwest is generally anything north of San Francisco California on the west coast of the USA. Although it can include cities as far south as Santa Cruz California which is usually referred to as the central coast. Some people would say its Oregon and Washington. So there you go.
^ pretty much correct but no parts of California are considered Pacific Northwest. It’s used to describe central/northern Oregon and Washington state!

Camera is a Sony alpha A2 or A3. Probably an A3 as 4K is an option. Lens is a kit 28-70mm lens. They occasionally shown it lol. The more grainy blurry footage will be from a go pro

I'm really happy to see electric bikes getting so good! I'm nearing 40 and constantly worrying there will come a day I can't ride mountain bikes, but this is giving me hope for the future as I could imagine this helping even the most unfit people to ride.
Which will lead to more unfit people.
@@truantray you'll only keep saying that until you try an ebike... you just do 10x the riding on an ebike... use the same amount of energy ;-)
@@truantray I mean most 40-60yos I know hardly ever leave their sofa, so at least getting out on an e-bike is still more exercise than most get. I think you still get exercise, but it just gives a helping hand on the climbs.
@@truantrayYou can choose the difficulty... or the facility. On a Giant E-trance you can vary from +50% to +360% of power added to the legs. But you can also turn off the engine and try to ride on a bike that is double the weight.
