Bruh I had a Reinhardt hammer down a whole team in which I then went in with a blade only for all them to get charged away by the Reinhardt i have never hated Reinhardt until that day
You forgot to say that one of the most important thing as genji is to stay alive, this is maybe ridiculous to say that but there are to many genji who don't care about dying during a team fight if they did their 1v1 but this not true and stay alive as much as possible is one of the better way to improve quickly .

One mechanic not many players use and know about is the double double jump, if you jump just before hitting the ground, it’ll do a double jump but also allow you to do another double jump mid air. It’s used for extra height considering the double jump goes higher than the regular sump
@@junheecho9800 it exists but it's not quite the same. It only changes the hud colors and friendly /enemy outlines, but it doesn't change colors for effects / shields like in the Overwatch League. It would be amazing if they added this feature.
My biggest tip (went from bronze to gold with genji) just hide chat and play the game. The reason for this is because whenever you try to get good at playing genji, you will make mistakes etc and for some reason low elo players expect a low elo genji to play as good as necros and if you dont then they will just blame you the entire game.
I feel that. I do the same. I hide chat and just play and focus on myself. Low elo players till you reach masters, do a lot of blaming and can't handle losing a team fight

If your bad at the game and want to get better how are you going to get better by playing qp where you are surrounded by a bunch of idiots. i was a tracer one-trick basically until role queue came out, and then i for some reason queued support exclusively and played ungodly amounts of lucio (i still do). i havent played any other role since. but since lucio doesn’t work out a whole lot, especially now because brig is just better as a whole, i end up playing mercy 95% of the time. ive got over 300 hours on mercy at this point, lucio is still catching up. but i recently met a group of friends that i love to play with and im trying other roles again-ive realized how fun it can be to switch things up. ive learned rein, zarya, cassidy, and orisa and played others so far and it’s.. so fun??1? so yeah anyways all that to say i appreciate this guide as a reformed mercy player and im looking forward to trying genji. ive always been scared to learn a new character since i know i’ll mess up a lot but that’s just how it’s gonna be if i wanna learn!!
A good Genji keeps count of wich hard cc skills are available and focuses the right targets... If they have this comp fe. : Brig, Ana, Genji, Ashe, Rein, Zarya Then any decent Genji knows that they have to focus Ana most preferrably without after she used sleep... the rest of their team is easily killable with nano afaik... And not everyone is full health all the time, health also decides wether someone retreats, tries to cc the Genji etc yknow

So to cancel blade with wallclimb you must be wallclimbing before the time is up, you can also cancel blade with a dash at the very last second of the blade timer, but it takes practice and planning beforehand to pull off in game in my experience

I do something nobody else does. I basically dash on an anemy then use Blade to dash again to comfirm a kill witha single slash. pretty neat without using nano for one shot slash
today I played genji for the first time in many months, I only have like a few hours on him after playing for a few years and I got my first 2 blade kills on him lmfaoo (well my first 2 good kills hehe) I’m decent at him, I just seem to mess up his ult because im not good at his movement I seem to always dash too far?? idk lol, but anyway it was a lot of fun playing him so I actually want to get better at him since he’s actually a pretty good hero!! :D
3:39 I recommend not to do that and try wall climb instead for 2 reasons 1. It's easier 2. Let's say you didn't kill the enemy team and you do that method (deflect then dash) you are basically waisting all your abilities to use on the enemy team or to escape so just use wall climb
I hate soloque in lower ranks (plat for me). I mean yeah they pick ana and nano me BUT they give it when im not ready and on the ground. I tend to panic blade (I need to fix it I know) just because I get nano and nanoblade is like the most powerful combo.
Im playing genji for almost a year now, i use all the combos in the vid and the playstyle mentioned is actually the same as mine. My tammates and enemies says im good but im still in high silver.
Genji is a very mechanically taxing and requires heavy amounts of decision making to be able to climb. He is heavily reliant on team coordination to be a valuable asset that can result in huge plays, unfortunately the proper teamwork mindset for that kind of play exists rarley in silver, so its best to swap to what can synergize with the team.

I agree. A good Sombra is extremely powerful, but most Sombras just sneak around giggling in the background and don't do anything... :)
