SCP-1562 is a metal playground slide with anomalous effects. When a person slides down SCP-1562 in a particular manner, they will disappear instantly and completely at the end of the slide. So far no one who has disappeared while using SCP-1562 this way has been recovered. Attempts to tie safety lines to test subjects in an effort to pull them back have ended in failure, as the tether is severed at the moment the test subject disappears. Communication with test subjects that have disappeared is possible and ongoing, and detailed in this video...

Maybe use one of the more suicidal D-class personnel. Equip them with numerous explosives and had them slide down with the detonator in hand. Once the D-class is in the tunnel, they blow themselves up. Hopefully the explosion is at least on earth so that foundation staff can locate it. Maybe give them something radioactive?

This doesn’t sound like the best idea, the second you strap a vest to a D-class, I’m pretty sure they’ve got nothing left to loose. Because what’s stopping them from just detonating right then and there or using the detonator as a method of “grenade negotiation?” And the vest probably wouldn’t work on the other side with the detonator, just like the headlamp, GPS and video feed.
@@benbartels6559 True. Maybe just do some hypnosis or mind altering drugs that will make the D-class more subservient, even when tasked with a kamikaze mission. It's likely not the worst thing the foundation could do.

Seeing Dr. Buck so cold and emotionless feels kinda weird after seeing the "Monster under the bed" video.
I feel like we needed to go back to basics after the break from the story-type videos. I take this as a soft retcon until we spend some more time with the characters again. Also the Gustav and Buck’s dynamic doesn’t work without Buck being an asshole, so I’m cool with it.
I mean, shes just doubling down on it since that experience is confirmation that emotions are a liability.
Maybe she just wants to keep pretending that incident never happened. She probably wants to stay cold, even when she feels emotions.

I feel like this video is a good sign. For the first time in weeks, we actually got to see Gustav. saw some dialogue and emotional development between characters, and barely any boring lectures from Buck. I feel like this is Newscape's way of slowly transitioning back to the story-driven episodes and I am so excited to see what will happen next week.
So much that. Even if they can't do it every week due to funds. It'd be great as long as they did a video with the characters occasionally.
This is likely their first episode in that crowdfunded series and more episodes of this will depend on how well funded it gets

But after years of constant death and not understanding she finds it easier to be cold and calculating to understand the strange and unknown even more without becoming attached to anyone she may care about
No her coldness comes from her childhood I think. She lived in a troubled home in her father's shadow. I'm sure some neglect and abuse made her the way she was.

@@ScythGrizz it’s headed up by Doctor Cimmerian and, while once being treated as a joke, it’s now seen as second only to O5 in terms of power within the Foundation. It’s a great reminder of the Foundation’s mission. The entire point of their existence is to preserve human life.
Dr. Buck's character is on full display here. She chastised Gustav for doing the right thing, as what they were doing wasn't getting them anywhere. Also Lawrence trolling Gustav at the beginning was hilarious.

@@JoshLefelhocz if that is how it works (which is an interesting theory) how do we link them up to pull? They’re arms are stuck by their sides, it’s not like they can grab the legs of whoever’s in front.
Plus if it can be filled up (if it’s not a separate reality where the bodies can stack infinitely), we don’t know how close it is to being full. We could end sending D-Class personal down there every hour for 1’000 years before finally filling it entirely.
How many D-Class are we prepared to use to test this theory? Yes, They’re expendable, but we can’t waste too many of them on this, because replacing them in huge droves of potential thousands would be difficult considering there’s only so many death row inmates/homeless people to use.
We’d eventually have to start kidnapping civilians with families who would look for them. And then we’d have to use absurd amounts of amnestics to not arouse suspicion. And amnesitics are expensive to make, since they require human sacrifices.
At what point do we give up on this slide theory?

Furthermore, statistically speaking it has been proven there is a big portion of death row inmates that are innocent and being falsely imprisoned.
