It’s so strange in the coolest way. So unique like nothing you see in the states. It legit felt like you were lost in an old European magical castle. 🤩
Oh man... Trackless cars, sure, but to have them taking different routes, checking out this bit of the ride while others are looking at that bit, none of them ever in danger of colliding with each other... This ride had some MAD designers on it. Woof!
I was also amazed by this. I think it would be cool if there were more areas that you may or may not interact with based on a variable path. That way the ride could be fresh for several trips, and to see every bit you would have to be lucky and ride it many times.
This ride is incredible from start to finish. I've never seen a trackless ride that masterfully incorporates animatronics, projector screens, and space so seamlessly. It has a lot of heart, which I sometimes feel is lacking in trackless rides.

When you visit this parc, forget Disney. When you come here see it as a magical adventure. When you come in the fairytale forest (started wth 10 storys in 1953 ) don't expect parts from Disneyfilms but enjoy the (sometimes scarry) old fairytales from Europ. Everything in this parc is developt here and all the music that you hear is speciali compost for this parc. (excuse for my English, i am Dutch)
I didn't even knew this ride and amusement park existed because I have never went there in my whole entire life... But as I rummaged through youtube and listened to one of this ride's OST I quickly became a fan of this ride!!! I really like the story and the OST (& I really like pardoes! The jester mascot of efteling who could use magic with his magic wand!) 심볼리카 대박!! 파르두스 귀여워!!!

Crazy good dark ride in a ridiculously unknown theme park. This park is up there with Disney in my opinion. Such a unique and interesting theme to the whole place.
The Efteling luckily is in the top 25 visited theme parks in the world and just surpassed 'Walt Disney Studios Park' in Paris. There are 1 milliom foreign visitors each yeat and their still growing! With Symbolica they tried to appeal to foreign markets, which helped them a lot in term of foreign visitors!
I just watched another ride video from this same park,and they were both breathtaking!! Thank you for sharing these videos so I could enjoy these beautiful rides!💜
Wow great attraction. Really so much to see and it’s cool how the cars break away from one another for unique adventures. You could ride and reride and have different experiences.
this park seems so cool. I love the nederlands. always hoping to be back there soon. I am dutch heritage but born in america. worked there as an au pair years ago. would love to go back and make a surrealist film about these magical spaces and the nature.
It’s about Pardoes (the guy you see throughout the ride) so basically, you’re going to visit the king and you meet the strict guy called O.J Punctuel (the guy standing on the stairs) but then Pardoes suddenly interrupts and uses his magic to open the stairs and takes you to a hidden world full of fantasy.
Too bad the whale didn't work that day ;-) When it does it takes on a swimming motion and breaks the glass with its tail. Fantastic ride. Not perfect but impressive for a park not run by Disney. The original soundtrack is also just brilliant.
The animatronics and detail like that may only be “impressive for a Park not run by Disney” but the great and imaginative artistic vision of this ride and the magical feel of the many scenes place this ride right in the top tier of all dark rides for me.

Based on what I’ve seen on this channel the U.S. theme parks needs to step their game all the way up. Wigs have been snatched people have been shooketh.
I remember being extremely disappointed in this darkride after all the hype, but it grew on me over time. I still like the other dark rides better. Maybe it's nostalgia. The first scene with grandmage Almar is still my favourite, such a wonderful room with loads of details everywhere!
I went on this yesterday. It was the first trackless ride I have been on, the 3rd dark ride I have been on (the first was also yesterday) and the first time I have seen an animatronic like these.
I love this attraction all three tours are amazing its really well put together i wish we had something like this in the uk thanks for sharing its really good quality asweell

3:48 nooooooo. The fish was broken in this video..... it is supose to come down like a big reveal and destroy the glass.... This ride is fun and all, it is just a little slow for me. There are a lot of ''dead'' moment in this ride where there is nothing to see really. Wish it was more active as Mistic Manor..

It’s so adorable! I don’t get why the whale cracking & breaking the aquarium is irrelevant to this ride, which is the scariest, yet coolest part. However, the rest of the ride is so enchanting & magical.
The Dutch do have an excuse, the Dutch word for whale is "walvis", which has the word "vis" in it, which is Dutch for fish. Also the creature is called Fabelvis which would translate to Fable Fish, but I think Fable Whale would be better.
4 times interactive trough the touch screens in the ride vehicle, but amazingly, MOST young people sit there, literally frozen before those screens... (HELLO KID GAMERS ? Do you still exist ?? ... lol) ... then, the OLD guys take over to get action in it ... lol (I see this every time when I go in the ride... the KIDS don't PLAY ... lol)

I guess this is the closest thing we could get from the tokyo’s beauty and the beast ride. Imagine that ballroom scene with belle and the prince dancing. It would be fantastic
Part of the Efteling's charm is that the themes aren't based on any of the big movie franchises, they stand on their own. You go in with no expectations to see certain characters or scenes, you get to discover it all for the first time.
Hearing those kids go "Woah!" That is what a good ride does.

35 mil, is a small prise if you compare it with ratatoiule in Disney (200 mil)..i think symbolica has even better theming.

This POV shows the music tour. There is also a hero tour and treasure tour. Especially during the end it takes you in totally different scenes.

Efteling is a very big themepark in Europe (funfact the efteling exists longer than any of the disney parks)

Oh, that makes much more sense, but I did like the effect of the glass cracking and real water leaking out.
I once went on it and there was no whale or water... it was weird. It is way better when it functions.
That explains it. I figured it must've been broken at the time because it was oddly stationary, especially compared to the rest of the ride.
