Every video you keep getting better and better, my friend. Editing is on point. The background music is fitting and as usual the quality of your videos is excellent. Thanks for sharing. We travel the world trough you and I'm sure you've inspired many to walk in your footsteps. I know I did 🙂
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words and feedback! I am truly grateful to have inspired you and others to explore and experience the world.
@@WandererBell my pleasure..it's just the truth and I'm happy that you decided to vlog your travels. For people like me who watched many of those drone footage videos with cuts, overlays, color grading and effcts, this is a very nice and realistic way of getting great information on how everything is in reality. You even mention the hotels and the price of dinner 👍🏻😇🙂. Those other cinematic videos only show a distortion of reality, which may lead to unrealistic expectations. With you, we have a much more true to life experience. Keep living your best life my friend. All the best to you 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for the details. You brought a good point. I think other channels do heavy editing with cuts, etc., because they want to appeal to a broad audience to get more views, and earn more money. My way of making videos doesn't appeal to a wide audience, which is why these types of videos receive fewer views. I've chosen to do it my way without worrying about views because it's a hobby, not a job, and my goal isn't necessarily to cater to a broad audience. I actually took down a few of my best-performing videos last week because they went viral, and one of the videos got over 300k views. I removed them because they attracted the wrong audience, even though they were earning good money. I explained this issue in my recent community post. You can read it here: www.youtube.com/@WandererBell/community
Great journey and very detailed and well filmed. Thanks for sharing. I am traveling next June. You can acclimate in Cusco city as well. Not need to go to Ollantaytambo to do that. I will spend 3 days in Cusco city and climb Machu Picchu the 4th day of my stay 😊 Drink coca tea!
Thank you! It is more convenient to visit Machu Picchu from Ollantaytambo, not Cusco. Cusco is too far from Machu Picchu. Also, Ollantaytambo is a beautiful little town that takes at least 2 days to explore. Have a wonderful trip!
Very lovely place. That is one area that I would like to see also and Machu Picchu. I had a friend that was there a few years ago and loved it and the photos he had were amazing so it will be fun to see your videos too
Cusco, Peru. Very interesting. I think i have been at 3400 m on the top of a Mountain in Los Alamos, in New Mexico. Didnt move much around, though. When I landed in albuquerque i felt the Heigl a little bit. Cusco is very beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's fascinating that you've been to such high altitudes in New Mexico. Cusco is indeed a stunning place, with its rich history and breathtaking scenery. More videos are coming. Stay tuned!
Q: Recommendations for a driver from Cusco to Ollantaytambo? Loved this episode and your videos provide realistic perspective. No way I could narrate and film at the same time ... much respect.
Hello, I will be visiting Peru and my itinerary includes arriving in Lima, then heading to Cusco and finally to Ollantaytambo. I am wondering whether it is better to pay in Peruvian Soles or US Dollars? I love the entire process of travelling from the airport to the final destination as it gives me an idea of the places to explore. Thank you!
@@kelvinyschun I used an ATM at the airport to withdraw cash, and I do not recall any cash limit. My Charles Schwab bank reimburses all ATM fees, does not charge foreign transaction fees, and uses the official global exchange rates. I highly recommend Charles Schwab bank. It is the best bank in the US for frequent international travelers.
Where did you book your airport pickup? I'm planning to go in June and am looking for a driver to take me from Cusco to Urubama. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Thank you for the videos...i travel next week and booked the same hotels, taxi, and days. As for ATM, did you exchange at Lima Airport? I am trying to budget how much cash to exchange. Lima / Ollantaytambu/ Machu Picchu Taxidatum= $70 + $80 Bus = $50 Market/Food = $100 Hotels = Credit Card Cusco = Taxi = $50 Market/Food = $100 Hotels = Credit card Approximate cash needed = $450 Did you use same?
I used an ATM at Lima Airport to withdraw cash. You will need cash for the taxi, tours, museum tickets, supermarkets, and laundry services. Almost all restaurants that I visited accept credit cards. All hotels you booked also accept credit cards. The bus to Machu Picchu also accepts credit cards. I think $450 cash should be good enough. Regarding the hotel in Cusco, make sure you get the big room upstair that has windows. In Ollantaytamboo, make sure you get the room that has the patio outside just like the one you saw in my videos. Enjoy your trip!
@WandererBell Thank you ...I always rely on your videos ...the hotel in Cusco I booked early and sold out now. I will also go Rainbow Mountain and the lake and trying to decide on Taxidatum private tour or cheaper group tour. I will also plan to fly to Argentina for the Patagonia and Iguazu waterfall. After that is Ecuador. That would have been good if you did those areas too! I need more days. Initially, I was thinking of 3 weeks in Peru.
I wasn’t able to do Rainbow Mountain because of the high altitude. Cusco was a bit challenging for me. I’d recommend taking it easy when you arrive, as everyone handles high altitude differently. On my second day, I felt a bit scared and even experienced mild vertigo. I’m really excited for you to visit Patagonia! I’m planning a trip there next year, so please take lots of videos. I’ll definitely have questions for you when I start planning my trip!
@WandererBell I got altitude sickness in Nepal and went back down. I will see how it goes. Got 2 different Rainbow Mountains and Humantay Lake. I am a senior citizen so moving slower than others. Patagonia has am 8 hrs trek that may be difficult. I did a trek in NZ for that long.
@@kelvinyschun The one in Cusco always has hot water for tea/coffee in the lobby and the guest house in Ollantaytambo, you can ask the owner to provide one. He lives in the same guest house and he is very friendly. He will do his best to help.

Where did you book the taxi to Olla....
Good
How long it took you to pass control passport?
The line was long. About 15 minutes.
The stay in Lima was really short ... is there anything to see but good hotels?
Can you survive without cash and use credit cards in Peru?
I am sure Lima has a lot to offer but it was not on my list.
You need cash. Not all shops accept credit cards.
Arrived Lima
The ATM limit is 400 or 200 pesos
You mean Peruvian soles?
@WandererBell yes ...that's only $106 worth...400 soles ...
Exchange booth at airport had low rates

you can pronounce Cuzco or Qosqo ( Cuzco in catellano or Qosqo in quechua )
Does Peru hotel provide toothbrush, razor, and essential amenities like Aaia hotels?
No, they don’t. I brought my own stuff. I also bought bottled water to brush my teeth because the tap water in Peru is not clean.

maybe try eating lima beans there from Lima Peru
