My understanding is that Tyler has been “alone” since the end of Levitate, when he was recaptured. But Josh (as the torchbearer) has the power to help Tyler navigate through his journey. Josh is always there watching and guiding Tyler, even though not physically with him. Although it’s hard to see Josh vanish while Tyler is singing about how everybody leaves 😿 My favorite is still Routines in the Night, but I absolutely love this video! Especially the twist. Tyler told us in the recent Livestream that the Torchbearer, the charachter Josh plays in the Lore, has the ability to guide, and that the Torchbearer has a 'triangular existance' and that the Bandito Torchbearer is the real one. Bearing in mind these guys are Christians this seems to confirm a further layer to the Lore, for those who wish to see it through that lens.

I always feel a bit spoiled when you post Twenty One Pilots videos multiple days in a row. ❤ Personally, from a spiritual point of view… I see these three banditos who greet Tyler and escort him to the other banditos as being symbolic of the Holy Trinity leading him to others in order to work together to fight evil. You’ve got two of them that look like father and son, and the other has his face covered, for the Holy Spirit who is more often represented as a dove or as fire. Speaking of fires… there are three raging infernos behind Tyler as he is singing the whole time, until the end, when the camera pulls back and we only see one massive fire, 3 in 1. Josh, the torch bearer is a kind of Guardian Angel character… who is there helping Tyler/Clancy out , but is hidden.
So to explain. We haven't seen the real Josh since Levitate. Real Josh is the torch bearer, so only when he's his bandito outfit, that's the real Josh. In all of Scaled and Icy, Josh was not there, even during the live stream show that u saw for Shy Away. For that livestream, there r breaks where Tyler/Clancy gets interviewed and they r sitting there mocking him about josh saying "where is josh? Josh come out!" And he never does. Which is why I have my theory that for that livestream and live concerts they had the band, because josh was imaginary
Yes, and I assume we all came to the conclusion. I believe that the last time Tyler was actually physically with Josh was levitate. In the live stream Tyler said that Josh 's. Character's name is torchbearer and that he actually has an ability as well and I think The ability is to project yourself and help guide the way. So technically if this is true, Josh was never there in person but he was in spirit with Tyler. And Tyler was the only one who was able to see him in the the live stream from scaled and Icy at one point the interview people kind of mocked Tyler about this. I can't remember her exact words but I it was basically her calling out to Josh being like where is he hiding and stuff like that

Josh, the torch bearer is a kind of Guardian Angel character… who is there helping Tyler/Clancy out , but is hidden.
So to explain. We haven't seen the real Josh since Levitate. Real Josh is the torch bearer, so only when he's his bandito outfit, that's the real Josh. In all of Scaled and Icy, Josh was not there, even during the live stream show that u saw for Shy Away. For that livestream, there r breaks where Tyler/Clancy gets interviewed and they r sitting there mocking him about josh saying "where is josh? Josh come out!" And he never does. Which is why I have my theory that for that livestream and live concerts they had the band, because josh was imaginary

Yes, and I assume we all came to the conclusion. I believe that the last time Tyler was actually physically with Josh was levitate. In the live stream Tyler said that Josh 's. Character's name is torchbearer and that he actually has an ability as well and I think The ability is to project yourself and help guide the way. So technically if this is true, Josh was never there in person but he was in spirit with Tyler. And Tyler was the only one who was able to see him in the the live stream from scaled and Icy at one point the interview people kind of mocked Tyler about this. I can't remember her exact words but I it was basically her calling out to Josh being like where is he hiding and stuff like that
Between Levitate and Navigating, Tyler has been alone. Torchbearer Josh has an ability to Guide. He projects himself to Tyler, almost like a spirit, to help lead him to the Banditos.
