Top quality here, no other content creation is making such in depth clinics, hopefully we can make the word spread so more peeps see these, and hopefully you can keep upo the good work NotParadox, you old wise man
I play a more agressive yrel in siege, for example, vs a nazeebo in early i would waveclear, bully him an dive the towers to get them half health before the obj. Is that too risky or what so you think?
Not sure about diving towers but your health can be refilled with mana, Naz can't heal until 4, so I'd definitely jump on him as often as possible. Kinda the main point why most ranged dps are not suitable offlaners. Bully them twice and they have to tap. Bully them twice more and they have to back. Meanwhile, you can heal.
I need to get some of my friends to watch this so they know what I mean when I tell them to just leave someone in lane and soak a 2nd lane as well. For some reason most people tend to treat this game as a fighting game instead of a strategy game with a full game board to consider.
as a low ranked player, I actually think it is still more fun to lose to stronger players than losing because of afk allies. Smurfs are not really a problem.
@@emilneumann2516 This exactly, plus even if it sucks to lose to a superior player, it improves you in a multitude of ways and feels like a fresh breath. Like when you fight an offlaner who actively tries to beat you and dodges your stuff, your matchup changes dramatically from "this is easy" to "I can probably not win this fight" and you gain a new level of insight. You are used to bullying XYZ, then XYZ bullies you and you realize: oh, threat range, gank potential, mana conservation, clearspeed optimization, vision! When you see what's possible, you start playing differently on that hero, too. That's why I like getting my ass handed to me by better players.
Sometimes I wonder if you even play the same game than me. If I take 5 or 6 secs to kill someone on a fight, my team in low rank is already annihilated. Also u won't be able to double soak for a low rank team casually. They will be alll over the map. If you can pull of the tricks you mention in your video. You probably would have won the game anyways because your team is a normal team and the enemy probably the team with the potatoes
I know it's an emotionally laden comment but the effects of map control are subtle. You don't stop your team from feeding but you create tangible value that's hard to put in words. It's always easy to say: I am Valla, I killed Nazeebo. But its not easy to point out: I kept up on XP, dealt siege damage which later allowed the team to dive towers for a kill, provided vision, forced Raynor top to clear my camp, prevented lots of siege on our structures to help us get to late-game and so on. You don't need a good team to get value out of map control.
I'm not an Yrel player, but your vids are incredible. Thank you soo much for keeping your channel alive with these looong and meaningful video essays!

Incredibly high detail and quality
Thanks you very much🙏🙏
This is a frustrating replay to watch, but it will help me if I ever decide to try Yrel solo. Thanks!
Long time lurker here. I wish more was going on in hots so you had more videos. Your content is great.
Great video, thanks brother
Always saw yrel in pro play but could never use her effectively myself - thanks a lot for this.

Whoa his accent went away
"I won 80% of my games by playing lower ranked players and ruining their experience"
