Watching this interview reminds me even more of how far she's come. Now she's stronger, confident, healthy, and career-wise, she's singing in giant arenas like the American Airlines Center. Demi is truly a great person to look up to and I wish her so much success.

noemistephanie93 The thing about addicts is they're good until they're not. By that I mean addicts are AMAZING at hiding their addiction and sneaking etc etc until they PHYSICALLY can't hide it. Most drug addicts are caught not bc they get caught high-- but bc they get caught stealing from family or friends or their spouse (or whoever) notices they spent a TON of unexplained money with nothing to show for it. That's why so many celebs OD or tell people they've gotten clean when they haven't etc-- bc they basically have unlimited money and therefore no need to steal etc so unless they're literally unable to function and start missing work or acting out (like how Demi punched her dancer for ratting her out for using). Thankfully that incident occurred-- even though she relapsed a few times, at least those around her caught on and were able to better see the signs. Yes I know from experience (2 years clean!) but even me, an average person, hid it from EVERYONE, even people I lived with... for literally 4 years. Used every single day. And sure there were many many close calls where I almost got caught but I always weaseled my way out of it-- unfortunately being manipulative is part of the disease plus people don't WANT to believe someone they love it THAT sick and in so much pain so if you give them a solid excuse for whatever concerns they voice they'll believe it... until, like I said, it COMPLETELY takes over and (usually for several of the reasons I said above) becomes too obvious and impossible to hide.

I even used to wear extra layers of clothes so that people would think I had just slimmed down instead of being able to see how horrifically skinny I had become from drugs etc. You get the idea. And I'm sure Demi did all those types of things too not to mention she had the crazy schedule to blame mood swings/extreme tiredness (aka "comedown" for cokeheads like she was)/weight loss etc. Not to mention when you're a pop star 90% of the people around you are being PAID to be around you and if you tell your addict boss they seem high they'll just fire you and hire someone who puts up with it and keeps their mouth shut. Sad. So glad she's doing better and not another "gone too soon" celeb!!!!

Love this girl unconditionally but bless her and I know everyone has said it but she does look so ill. At the time no one would have batted an eyelid but now, in 2015, everyone notices and feels so sad that she did all this to herself. She looks so pale and just well like she had been using. Clearly this was a really rough day and her voice is just so sad :( I'm so glad her life turned around because it'd be so heartbreaking to see her like this now. Feel so sorry for her because she had no control over anything that she was doing to herself.
