(He sticks out like a sore thumb for not having a proper explanation despite him saying he's fighting for Fodlan's future as a enemy in other routes.) Although many of them made an impulsive and rash choice to join up with the Empire after the events of the Holy Tomb. Can't blame the characters of going off script if they're stuck with the Empire after seeing Rhea do the same in their eyes. All we have to go on why they joined up is through their supports in other routes with specific characters. Just like understanding why Dimitri is nuts or why Edelgard started the whole war. If anything, all the recruited characters are ambiguously grey even Alois and Leonie. Kind also shows off parts of their flaws too. Although, Edelgard did say she was what she was doing was the fastest to achieve her goals.

I admit, I kind of like that he willingly confesses that he doesn't care much about the war or fighting the church. He's really only there because of Byleth, which they definitely make clear through his obsession with Byleth. Unlike 95% of recruitable students who claim they believe in the professor without saying why the professor was good enough to convince them to betray their homelands. I'd also believed that he knew more about Edelgard than he was letting on during the story: he would only take orders from the flame emperor alone, even insulting Hubert when you initiate a conversation between them in chapter 6. He really does have a single minded purpose, and allying with Edelgard allows him to fulfill said purpose, which definitely justifies why he'd join their team.

With Felix because Mercedes claimed that Felix reminded her of Emile. With Caspar I suppose because he's involved in the Mercedes paralogue too. With Annette aka the best friend of his older sister. So Jeritza splits between himself and the death knight. If we assume Jeritza is similar to Mercedes in that he's (was) a kind person, he may have "split" after the murder of his dad and having to throw away his name to join another house; he was no longer a little brother, he had to give that up. That, along with the trauma of his mom and sister fleeing, him worrying about his sister then murdering his dad (and possibly innocents), may have broke him into Jeritza and Death Knight, both whom wants to die by Byleth's hand because it was the only thing that made him feel something that wasn't guilt, rage and sorrow.

Likely not. It wouldn't even be a good move. Quality > Quantity. Not ending things with Ch.18 would be fine if there was more epic story to be had but to extend a route artifically for no good reason, I doubt it'll happen.

Spoilers Golden Deer are the only house that face them. In Azure Moon, you do kill TWSITD, but they are in their disguises (Cornelia, Lord Arundel) and in Edelgard’s path they are hunted down in the character endings only.

Those anyone remeber how Eddie mentioned that all her other siblings either died or went mad after Crest experiments? I think the latter is what we are seeing here, someone who survived but went mad... Dammit Rhea, you really did screw everything up. SPOILERS: Rhea is one directly responsible for how important the Crests are seen and for the mindset that those who have Crests are blessed by the Goddess and are therefore better than everyone else. No, she did not run the crest experiments however she was the who unintentionally created the situation that allowed for the experiments to occure. Furthermore she was and still is in a position to fix (or at least start the process) the problems in Fodlan (many which she is the cause) but for whatever reason has done nothing. I may be a Golden Deer but Eddie was right.

It makes sense. After all, the Crest of Flames within him disappeared after killing Rhea. So wielding the Sword of the Creator without the Crest of Flames would damage him and turn him into a Demonic Beast

Golden Deer are the only house that face them. In Azure Moon, you do kill TWSITD, but they are in their disguises (Cornelia, Lord Arundel) and in Edelgard’s path they are hunted down in the character endings only.

@@slobertooth1358 that's what I was thinking. I did Blue Lions, then Edelgard route, then Golden Deer, then Church route. The latter two did have those extra fights. I wonder if with Jeritza, they still happen. Judging by this video, they do not

It isn't better handled on Golden Deer IMO. Because Claude has no reason to get that battle in his story arc. Meanwhile the church units have every reason to fight the Agarthans as their 2nd to last map. The only strange thing is that Nemesis doesn't come back on Church route too, which doesn't really have an explanation. Or why did Rhea only lose control on church route but not verdant wind route as well. The discrepancy is weird tbh.
@@l.n.3372 Nah, Claude has good reasons too for fighting those who slither as well. He wants to bring peace to all of Fodlan and branch out beyond. After learning of their existence, he knew their would be no peace as long as they were still around.

Rhea is one directly responsible for how important the Crests are seen and for the mindset that those who have Crests are blessed by the Goddess and are therefore better than everyone else.
No, she did not run the crest experiments however she was the who unintentionally created the situation that allowed for the experiments to occure. Furthermore she was and still is in a position to fix (or at least start the process) the problems in Fodlan (many which she is the cause) but for whatever reason has done nothing.

And it's awfully convenient that her route doesn't bring up how they're going to deal with the fact that the Slitherers literally have ICBMs and can nuke Enbarr off the face of Fodlan.
I'll never understand why Edelgard apologists pretend like one route out of four makes everything she did okay when she herself doesn't even know history.

Not completely. I feel like Jeritza gay makes sense considering the relationship they are going for(wanting to murder each other but at the same time in love, which seems like a mlm thing at least I think).
If they have listened a bit more, both Dimitri and Claude could've easily been bi without even needing to twist facts; the pieces and hints are all there, somehow they just don't want to apply it. Meanwhile F Byleth gets to hog all the wlw ships. It's frustrating.
And one of them said love too. They even disappeared together after their battle was over.
