propably not gonna happen. bw is extremely balanced but sc2 is so unbalanced. zerg is just so op in sc2. Zergs in sc2 also get rewarded for being bad at the game. if their army dies they can just make another one! and another one! and another one! untill they overrun their terran or protoss enemys that dont have the ability. or zergs can just max out with swarmhosts and hydras. hydras own everything thats air and swarmhosts make free units that are like mini roaches that have a high attackspeed wich are so damn hard to defend. vipers. basically bw: 12 hatch, 14cc strats. Sc2: MMM,Deathball,Swarmhosts...
TerrariaLp1 the thing about bw was that is was beautifully imbalanced. starcarft 2 is just imba... imba with just like fungal and collosus which just aren't fun to watch, not like bw.
+TheUnknown You should really refrain from commenting about balance if you're in the low leagues. You spoke like every bronze player I've seen. Here, have some statistics at the top level play: aligulac.com/misc/balance/ Firstly, as we can see from the link the only moment Zerg was actually strong was at the end of WoL against Terran, when the infestor was strong as fuck. It's still nothing compared to the beginning of WoL where Terran had 67% (!) winrate against Zerg or at the beginning of HoTS when Terran had 59% against Protoss and almost 55% against Zerg (Window Mines pre-nerf). Secondly, you had to be an idiot to use Swarm Hosts against most Terran compositions. They only worked well against mech and were complete and utter shit against bio. Hydras own everything? Have you ever actually played Zerg? They're expensive, squishy units that happen to deal good DPS. They're like marines, only shitty because of their low cost effectiveness. Dude, learn how to play before spreading your bullshit.
Man my favorite player Jaedong losing... Good job flash. Just re-watched the first part of the game. No fault on Jaedong for not attacking more aggressively with the mutas. He had to save them to retain some form of map control because he expanded towards his opponent. However rule number one as a Zerg is never expand towards your opponent. Jaedong can usually get away with breaking these rules because he is so good. But this time flash punished him for it. He JD had expoed in the bottom right instead of the middle left this game would have been much different. The mutas coupled with the ling surround could have bought JD enough time to get the lurkers he needed to survive. My guess was that JD was trying to do a 2 hatch muta all in. When the turret held he just wanted to get a base up as fast as possible to minimize how far he was behind Flash. The base at 9 was closer so he decided to expo there. It was a calculated risk but I think it did not make sense given the decision he made earlier in the game. In my belief you either do one of two things. 1 - Attack with the mutas and commit while taking the risky expansion. By trading effectively you keep the Terran off balance and in his base as he has to defend and keep his workers alive. This forces turrets as well as keeps the marine count low which reduces the likelihood of the Terran pushing out due to a fear of zergling surrounds. 2 - Back off (like JD did) But then since the Terran will have a high marine count this increases the chances of the Terran pushing out and becoming aggressive. In this case you need the long distance to buy you time. Forcing stims and picking off stray units as the Terran moves out across the map. This will give you the extra 30 secs you need to get more units while denying Terran reinforcements. This extra wave of units hopefully will allow you to defend. Either way your chances are better the more distance the Terran units have to cover. Jaedong sadly did a bit of a mismash of tactics here. He played passive while expanding aggressively towards Flash. This meant that their was a window when a Flash attack would be unstoppable. And that is exactly what we saw in the game. Saving the mutas did not best serve JD because when there are 25/30 marines it is very hard for mutas to trade effectively. Either way JD is my favorite player and an extremely talented and cunning starcraft player. It is great to see these old Legends continue to play even today. And as we all know JD is the master again in SC2. Sorry Flash =)
@boonjing im just reading from comments here. but they said that jon747 is banned due uploading WCG or blizzard righted videos. because google bought youtube, so no copyrighted video may be uploaded anymore. so i read
Last game Jaedong's play was inspired, almost celestial. In this game, he really just couldn't stand up to the incredible macro machine and got steamrolled. Flash secures his place as #1 again.
Have you seen the in-game shots (where the computer goes from being a neutral observer to actually watching one specific player) - how fast they're clicking and scanning the map? It's fucking insane, it's like that thing Gary Kasparov did where he played speed chess against 15 different players at the same time lol =/
This is crazy. In all three games of this set, Flash was always ahead in supply of Jaedong. Which, to me, says less about the skill gap between Flash and Jaedong, but more about how vastly different bw is from sc2. Terran's hardly ever ahead in supply in sc2.
GREAT game by Flash, but the commentators really fell down on the job all through this series. Guys, some tips: 1) Repeating catchphrases ("a TON of damage!", "have some fun!", "WOW, oh WOW") over and over again is not insightful. 2) It's "scourge", not "skorge", for godsakes. I mean, WTF would a 'skorge' even BE, anyway? A Swedish Zerg? 3) Defilers NEVER run out of energy, because of Consume. Derp. 4) Does Riv smoke 3 packs a day or something? He sounded awful. If it was just him being tired, then bring up an alternate commentator, he's just doing 'a TON of damage!' to his voice at that point. =\ 5) I got the impression Riv didn't know that much about BroodWar, and was kinda faking his way through it. Apollo though did know what he was talking about, at least. Oh well, doesn't matter so much anyway... WCG is now no more. R.I.P. Thanks much for the 13 years you did give us, including 10 years of Brood War, the best RTS of all time (that includes SC2). =]
Terran builds units from the point where he has his barrack('s) and the zerg mostly only makes lings and muta's and lurkers and sunkens until he gets his hive tech and the deffiler mount and ultralisk cavern.

Jaedong, Jaedong... Why did you put your 2nd expo so close to Flash? Why did you micro your Mutalisk so poorly? And the most important- why 9 pool? It's just doesn't work against Flash. And this American commentator should: 1. learn about Starcraft. 2. go to laryngologist.
I think I would lose in about 30 seconds...
I hope one day starcraft 2 can be this good

+TheUnknown You should look at LoTV
+Spira Music Disruptor? Ravager? Liberator? Worst unit design in the history of RTS.

i remembered when i used to travel like 5 km just to play with a bunch of people starcraft in teams and free for all,i love this game
Letting people who don't even play the game cast is probably a major part of the reason WCG is defunct now.
Great games though.
R.I.P.
Horrible cast :S .... needs boxer to comment on it... in english :D

@axisitg no they are not twins and they don't look alike. they just have the same haircut.
1:30 and the crowd goes mild... Where's tastless and artosis anyway
@yumemirutenshi do you kno what happen to jon747?
good i miss bw
Wow I am going to start playing starcraft again :) now only if I could be half as good as them lol
Shit, just holy shit, how u play like this?
practice
Last game Jaedong's play was inspired, almost celestial. In this game, he really just couldn't stand up to the incredible macro machine and got steamrolled. Flash secures his place as #1 again.
This is the real Finale!
Is that league of legends Riv talking?

Женька и Федька, эххх было время
Blue zerg and orange terran. Cool Im drunk!
what's the name of this map?
The name of this map is fighting spirit
Omg it’s really 2k10 because he explained why flash set a second base so yearly.
are they twins? lol they look exactly the same
Wait what is with the graphics on this game tho. I mean I know it was made in 2010, but why haven't there been a graphics update or new game.
+Georgo Zuwe the game is released in 1998. Starcraft 2 is from 2010 which is with better graphic.
Buki 87 Buki oh the maker of the video tagged the wrong game
Как же женя пропижонил с третьей хатой после муты. Эх эх было время. Как же я люблю ск:бв
WOW one of the commentators works for Riot Gaming and is commenting League of Legends games
adamlar ne oyun oynuyor be bravo
Yeah that's the name!
"Oh woowww"
@ 9:47 A Prodigy is born
Game starts at 1:35
@Jmontastic i'll second that
The left one definitely has a shiny nose! Damn that's a shiny nose!
I feel Jaedong made too many mutas early on and didn't get those lurkers/lings to secure his expansions better which set the stage for his loss.
@fanathym I think they are exhausted after hours of highly concentration.
Apollo has always been such a good caster. :D
Rivington? :D
3:04 its Bryce"Machine"Bates!!!
Flash and Jaedong both looked somewhat uncomfortable in the end. Flash also didn't seem happy in any case that he has won :P
2:00 start

I thumbs down when flash wins

***** LoL
plz bring john747 back
he did nothing but bliss for us
What a ton of dmg! -.-
No idea. But it is obvious he doesn't understand Brood War.
Flash the best gameplayer of all time
Flash player zerg very cool. Many courfull
Wtf y every1 sayin commentators are bad? I think they're really good and entertaining
half of what they say is bullshit, they have no idea what they're talking about
Flash is the greatest of all time!
If the zerg is ever ahead of the Terran in bw the Terran is usually in trouble
oh wow !!
flash too good
That was before beta changed to securing the 3rd with 2 lurkers on a ramp.
Terran builds units from the point where he has his barrack('s) and the zerg
mostly only makes lings and muta's and lurkers and sunkens until he gets his hive tech and the deffiler mount and ultralisk cavern.
이때 갓 멀티테스킹지리네 싸우는도중에 소수마메로 저그 죽어도 3가스안주네 ㄷㄷㄷ
심지어 레메도 안가고 바이오닉으로 폭군조지네
@erlanfranck they aren't very practical in a human on human match up.
0:49 Flash just turned on his hax. :p
@Jmontastic I'd rather listen to the Korean commentators and I don't even speak Korean!

This guy should play with guardians..
The rapporteur is ruined, probably because of his long addiction to crack.

역시 테란 저사람이 잘 하는구나
they are bad but if u understand the game yourself u dont realy need good ones
fuck these vessels and tanks are too powerful
This WCG sucks, WCG 2009 in China will be remembered as the best imo. Tastosis were great.
Plz switch Koreans to us and English to Korea. Maybe the koreans would prefer english commentators. vise versa
If only i can understand Korean, I'd rather listen to the Korean commentators rather than these annoying English commentators.
scourge > scorch
Those 'commentators' are total noobs...
tbh, id rather listen to korean commentators even though i dont understand korean anyways.
jaedong = noob
the only way jaedon can beat Flash is by cheesing
won last game wtf
