@@sirpizza2044 if you play on a digital piano with full weighted keys, I think there sometimes is a way to get a midi file, and get a synthesia video. If not just get someone to hold your phone still while you play, even if it will be bad, or get someone with a better phone to film it for you. It is very impressive that you managed to learn this with not tutorials available i guess just by ear. It would be a great gift if you somehow got a video out of you playing it.

The piece Joplin performed was not peasant and poet overture, for the people who say it is, I challenge you to find the that particular part in the real poet and peasant overture video.
The old guy literally asks Joplin if he can play Peasant and Poet Overture, it's Ragtime so its would be obvious Joplin would improvise and modify the piece while he was playing.
@@somebodyontheinternet3200 if it's modified, you can atleast tell where it's from. In this case, you can't even tell it's poet and peasant overture if the old person didn't mention it; therfore, it's not poet and peasant overture. The producers probably just tossed the piece in there along with a small fraction of PAPO.

Dick Hyman is such an incredible pianist. Of course Scott Joplin was the king of ragtime, but Dick Hyman is the king of interpreting ragtime.
Yeah!
Best scene in the movie.
Had this soundtrack in the early 80's. This was my favorite track on it and I've never been able to find it. Thanks for posting.
Thank you
Beautiful music...He has a promising career and no matter what field he chooses. A definitely bright star..
Dick Hyman is 95 years old. He is a very accomplished pianist. I'm sure he's alright with the path he chose.
It's so stylized and accented. Super fancy version of the song, amazing!
