@@kin4386 Up until he finally got recruited, Steve likely sat through every newsreel made during the war he could get to. A lot of those newsreels would include talk of keeping people's morale up as well as what info the news could share on battles. Studied every strategy and word that was shared.
It also helped he had two awesome leaders to guide him when he was Captain America. Agent Carter and Colonel Phillips. I was honestly hesitant on Colonel Phillips wondering how much he'd be a disbeliever until he stated outright that the threat Hydra presented was not to be dismissed at all. Then I knew he really was the guy for the job. He just took some convincing on Rogers.

Began collecting and reading comic books since I was around 11 or 12, and, although I went through my late teen years into my twenties and got away from comic books (girls, obvs, lol), I came back to comic books and graphic novels in my later years, when I stopped trying to please the masses, or my ex. I enjoy the story-telling by people that are very inventive, innovative, and clearly great storytellers. I'm too far along in life to give a crap about what others think. 😉

Noticed that after Cap's speech, Tony looked at him and Cap looked back. This scene reminded me of Endgame where they also looked at each other after Cap's speech.
This gives me the feeling that Tony and Cap always looked at each other as both the leaders of the Avengers, and that look after Cap's speeches means "we must do everything to protect all these people at all costs and when the time comes that a sacrifice has to be made, it is up to the both of us."

Even in the first Avenger's movie, Cap made a point of keeping the fighting focused on their location to keep the Chitauri from getting away. Crowd control and civilian protection was always on their mind. What happened in Civil War was simply a miscue by Wanda making a rookie mistake with a power she was still learning to master.

Black beast I don’t think you can say they rushed endgame especially for how many characters they had to squeeze in. The five year jump is what makes them returning interesting so you can thank the Russo’s for that. Had they made another movie of everyone being dead what would it be? Widow and cap fighting low level criminals and sulking ? After thanos anyone else would have had some huge shoes to fill and people would have complained about them wasting time.
