    This latest Sony IMX811-AAQR sensor will not find his way to any one of Sony fullframe body as this is a its a Medium Format sensor and there is not enough room for it to fit behind the small image circle of the Sony E-Mount. Except if Sony decide to compete with Fujifilm and Hasselblad Medium Format systems.

    The 247 mega pixel sensor would be used for military satellite imaging mostly because it would need to be attached to a decent computer to process and store that much data.

      Probably will be used by those of us in cultural heritage photography, I.E. photographing art for museums. We currently use Phase One iXH 150MP cameras. And even with those we shoot anything bigger than 16x20 inches in sections and stitch together gigantic images. Mostly for conservation purposes so they can zoom into the image and not need details to be shot.

    Everyone, a medium format sensor with 247 million pixels can still maintain a readout speed of 5.3 frames per second, which sounds like amazing electronic technology. However, the only thing that can exert its power is a medium-format optical lens that can provide 247 million pixels of resolution. "Amazing" is no longer enough to describe the optical technology. It's a miracle like Moses parting the sea.
    So unfortunately, there is currently no optical lens on earth that can match it.

    • @TechTraveller01
      @TechTraveller01  3 дня назад

      A 247-megapixel medium format sensor with a 5.3 fps readout is indeed impressive technology. However, to fully utilize its potential, you need a high-quality medium format lens capable of resolving all those pixels. The combination of such sensor and lens technology truly pushes the boundaries of what optics can achieve.

    The FX3 II may also have internal ND filters.

    • @TechTraveller01
      @TechTraveller01  6 дней назад +1

      The FX3 II does not have internal ND filters, as this feature is typically reserved for higher-end cinema cameras like the FX6. The FX3 series focuses more on compact size and portability, which likely limits the inclusion of such features.

    I can't help but wonder how you have so much detail information on the sensor with photographic results when it has yet to be used in a camera. This is exciting, but I don't think you really know what is to be. Let's wait to see what happens.

    • @TechTraveller01
      @TechTraveller01  6 дней назад

      It's true that until the sensor is used in a camera, any information is speculative. However, details about sensors often come from technical specifications and early tests by manufacturers or industry insiders. While real-world performance can vary, these insights give a good indication of what to expect.

    • @eavilev
      @eavilev 6 дней назад

      @@TechTraveller01 I have to ask. Do you have any test results from the manufacturer or an industry insider? You show pictures in your post and but make no effort to say that these are not results from the sensor. This is not factual or honest reporting. You don't have any beef as we say. But it is a lot of bull.

    The vast majority of people do not need more than 12 MP, this will only be needed for those that print huge or crop heavy. Megapixels are not that important.

    So we know FOR SURE that there will be a Sony FX30 mark II by end of 2025. This is official from what I can see in your video. What we don't know yet is, if there will be an FX3 mark II that will incorporate the low light features of A7s mark III as well as global shutter and 180 fps in 4K.

    • @TechTraveller01
      @TechTraveller01  7 дней назад +1

      There is no official confirmation that a Sony FX30 Mark II will be released by the end of 2025, nor any confirmation of an FX3 Mark II incorporating the low-light features of the A7S III, global shutter, or 180 fps in 4K. This seems to be speculation, not a guaranteed roadmap from Sony. Until Sony announces any updates or product launches, these ideas remain rumors or wishful thinking.

    • @TechTraveller01

      No, a 247-megapixel sensor is primarily designed for specialized uses like satellite imaging, not typical photography. Its size and data demands make it impractical for most photographers.
