Whoever came up of the idea to recreate the Start Screens in FH5 for their 10 anniversary is a damn genius, the throwback is nuts. FH2 and FH4's startup will always hit different, and it's so sick to see it remade in FH5.

I hate myself that I didn't play fh5 at all during the anniversary update, it would have been a cool nostalgic surprise loading up the game. I just don't play forza nearly as much as I used to. Lmao if I had fh1 with a map remaster/remake and modern forza upgrades you couldn't get me to stop playing it
I hope we can have the option to keep the intros we like maybe like with settings or something. Cause i really love the FH1. Its the most emotional one for me.

My god the nostalgia. Each horizon game came out during a big chapter of my life and these intros bring everything flooding back. I thought turn 10 had forgotten about the first horizon and wanted to just move on, this proves they still remember. Huge thank you to their whole team for making this happen

I started playing in horizon 2 on 360 and it was THE GAME for me and got me around a year of fun during the time that I was losing interest in gaming because I had a 360 in 2015 before I got a one s the following year
never been more attached to a video game title in my life they all do bring you back to such different points in your life it feels so serendipitous
God, odesa slaps so hard. I think fh4 starting screen has the best vibe
Horizon 1 veteran here, that would have to go to FH1 and 2, when the series still felt alive the series has been without it's soul for so long
forza horizon 2 has the perfect drum and bass racing vibe, fh1 and fh3 got some epic electro tracks too, fh4 and fh5 sound majestic

Fh1 also misses the booth girls because you know why :/ ... Also the music is in a short 30-ish second loop instead of the full track like the original

Interesting. They replaced some cars with others (the update from the third generation Z4 to the fourth being the most obvious one), and also omitted some shots in the remade sequences (Edit: I originally thought all these cases were Ferraris, but the LaFerrari does show up for the FH2 tribute...). Guess they didn't have equivalent shots (or machines) that could be done properly for this nostalgia trip? Or maybe they simply forgot. FH4 gets away scot-free, though.
The funny thing is that the standard Huayra is there in the title screen for FH5… but we can’t even use it in-game.
@@brawler5760 I did happen to notice that myself. I wonder if it was an oversight, or if we will see it return eventually? I can only guess they did it like that because the Huayra shot needed the visibility that the BC's wing would block otherwise.

@@paulgraham7443 Yes very. In my opinion, the graphics I think they really had it right in FH2 partially im bias because FH2 was my personal favorite out of the 5 games.

@@paulgraham7443 the rain and night of FH2 is much more realistic, but during the day FH5 wins...FH5 at night or in the rain, it looks much brighter than it should be
FH3 is a game that you notice that FH5 has been downgraded in some aspects, the night in FH3 and the rain, it was incredible, in FH5 it is good, but it seems extremely clear and calm...in FH5 when you get close to a streetlight while it's raining, you only see the volumetric fog, in FH3 and I think FH2, you can see the raindrops being illuminated
I like the brighter saturation of the older games, and that is very present in the side by side comparison. It really shows in Forza Horizon 3, and I think it makes the game look better. Not as realistic, but a better atmosphere.
4 old games 4 seasons 4 new start screens. Man FH5 is the perfect game for a tribute like this. Shit makes me tear up, I miss the old games.
The fact that they almost replicated all of the scenes on one same map is kind of impressive

FH4's intro is forever going to be a shiver-down-the-spine generator.
I came home from some event or something (I dont remember exactly what) but I wanted to wind down the night with some cruises... I turned on my PC and booted up FH5, but when I was greated with THAT Viper alongside the menu music my jaw dropped and I started crying. FH1 is what introduced me to the car scene... I will forever respect THAT Viper... haven't seen that gen with that colorway irl yet... I can only hope

how do you change the intro? mine always on fh1. or do we need to wait until next week to automatically change the intro?
It'll change when the season changes, so next season is FH2. Hopefully after the anniversary playlist is over, they'll add an option to change it
@@chase6902 I hope they do a Setting in the Menu for it. I will always love the old Start Screens and the option to change them would be really cool.

From my introduction from a friend of mine's house in Cali in 2012, the sequel me and my friend hyped for in 2014, to the endless grind hours in a cybercafe in vegas in 2015, and my shot as a content creator in 2016...
It brings me to tears honestly.
And now we're here.
Fh1, Fh2, Fh3, Fh4 doesn't matter I get goosebumps by all the intros. I wish I could bring back those times 🙃

The environments, imo
the graphics are not in game, they are made with the engine but it doesn't look like that in the game, apart from the fact that the color is more saturated.
Is your imagination. You think looks better because is more colorful but in FH5 is more detailed.
Art direction. FH5 even has exaggerated lens flares too

I teared up when I logged in starting this update and seen the FH1 intro... meeen I missed it, really damn epic and as a Nuzlocker since my first run, i beat FH1 with the Corrado and the Evo X and the mustang boss for each class, every other car, sold it

FH3: Everything except for the F82 is stock due to RB's removal in the launch that will return in the next patch. (even the R35, the only one to use OEM rims has the stock kit despite the LW kit being available)

FH2 is where I began my journey
This confirms my suspicion that Forza Horizon 2 has the best graphics. 2013 - 2015 era games were unreal graphically. PT, Alien Isolation, DriveClub, Forza Horizon 2, Ryse Son of Rome, The Order 1886, Batman Arkham Knight, Uncharted 4 teaser, Watch_Dogs 2012 demo, The Division 2013 demo. Back when developers were focused on making their games look as "next-gen" as possible. Same thing happened with physics and interactive environments at the start of 7th gen (GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Saints Row 2).
Wish they let us choose to keep these menus. I actually freaked out when when the FH1 intro started playing after randomly booting up fh5😆

Bro playing fh1 on Xbox 360 and driving the Bugatti from the barn find was a dream come true and how I got the ruf from a race
They are all just beautifully enhance the feeling and warmth of the original start screens, but now with somehow more feeling.
Gotta say tho, I feel the original FH2 title was slightly better than the FH5 version, like some of the rain effects and sun glares were better in the original.
Looking back at this, I feel like the remakes for 2-4 were really let down by 5's artstyle.
Somehow, the camera effects of horizon 1 and 2 are more realistic than FH5

I have every forza horizon. Horizon is the only game i’ve ever waited to press start on. It’s such a beautiful game, with such fitting music. I love this game, and i’ll be playing it until the day i die.
For me the only other games ive done this on were Cyberpunk 2077 and Armored Core 6. But Forza Horizon hits different, especially 1

As someone whos played Forza since the OG Motorsport in 05 and getting Horizon in 2012 when it first came out, the aesthetic for it remains unmatched. Seeing it remade for the anniversary was just perfect. Seeing all the newer versions of the same cars just felt like everything's grown up
I remember playing Forza Horizon 4 for the first time. Literally played the game after 1 hour listening to that intro. A Moment Apart will be always my fav song in a Forza game❤️
