See, when Smith and 9th Station was built, it was quite literally the highest elevated station in the world. I actually returned here for the first time in 4 years and the fleet is almost completely different. I included older footage for comparison's sake.

Good to see the F & G lines operating. Too bad they weren't so efficient when I used them to commute to my dismal job in Manhattan back in the day. Interestingly, it still makes reference to Culver Local. This even though the Culver line has long been extinct. Only a shuttle remained until the mid 70s or so and then that, too, was gone.
In all honesty, I was always afraid of riding on the train at that juncture since it was so elevated and the curve downward was so sharp. Was afraid the train would fall off the track but, thankfully, it never did.
