Tried to do this one today and they’ve blocked up the way you guys got in through the hedges from the care home. As we were in the bushes someone came through the gate looking at us 😂
My mom used to work there and tells me the room you looked into with the rotten floor at 13:31 is apparently haunted - the cupboard in the far left of the room was a walk in wardrobe and used to sealed up. Legend has it that someone hung themselves in there.
The council needs it's butt kicking for allowing them to deliberately wreck the place by removing tiles like that. The council know damned well what sneaky tricks the developers will try and pull to insure that the building falls into a state where it is deemed beyond repair. They should be keeping check on buildings like this. In my eyes it is criminal what they are getting away with. These wonderful old buildings are our countries history, and are what gives our towns their character. We owe it to both ourselves and our future generations to preserve buildings with the character that this one has.
Reading up online...... Purchased by Developers Malvern Homes Ltd the site is 2.5 acres. I believe its listed and developers promise was to Refurbish the property and convert into Resedential Apartments. Looking at the state of it now I'm guessing they purposely stripped off a load of roof coverings and left it abandoned to fall into disrepair. Eventually it will be deemed unsafe and at that point Malvern Homes will demolish it and maximise the potential if the 2.5 acre site with a modern apartment development. What a shame. Such a lovely old building.... however, these type of buildings can be so costly to improve and maintain. Great vid as always. Enjoyed both parts. Cheers 👍✌
Omg!! There was soooooo much mold guys!!!! Black Mold! Can make you really sick! There spores that your breathing in boys. Sorry I’m a Mom/Mum and I do t want u boys getting sick. 🥰❤️
Glad you did a Part 2 - so much to see in there and great that you went back in to discover yet more secret areas! Must have been such a lovely hotel, full of character and lots and lots of rooms! Criminal that the roof tiles are being removed and the place is literally being destroyed. Thought that car would be security - good job he wasn't there a bit earlier! Great drone footage, video and stills. Thanks Matt 👍😍
Such a huge place, bet it was a lovely place back in the day. Was that security looking for you in the end. Could see someone with a torch in the garden x
It is a very intersting Layout, Old parts combined with newer parts. It also seen in the basements. Maybe the Basement with the closed entrance was upon time open to the street.
Worcestershire I lived there many years ago. I lived there in the early 80's, to late before moving up North. Used to love the old buildings. We lived in a house that only had a real fireplace to heat water and provide heating. Got photos of my dog on the old coal bunkers in this massive back garden.
Smashing film you made Mathew, I Currently work on a building site in Droitwich so will share this with the lads on the site ,and a lot of them are local. Shame about the slates being took of.
Respectfully requesting we round up the most recent interior design team and administer a suitable punishment at dawn. I don't think I've ever seen that much sherbert colored paint, ever. Sinful when the outside is a spectacular Tudor. Ach!
Such an amazing location with great architecture and history. Such a shame that people have to destroy such beautiful places. Stay Safe and Keep Crushing 💪🐻
Brilliant video Matt such a shame what the vandals have done to the roof and the floors the place is completely wrecked no point having security now really is there, thanks for sharing 👍
I think if the buildings listed they done it on purpose like a lot of places so they can build houses shame because once these buildings are gone there gone the new builds don't have the quality or character that theses old buildings have anyway excellent video 👍👍👍
this place is 20 min drive from me - used be used a lot by players - droitfrom " worcestershire county cricket club " the town was once famous for its spa water
It's good to finally see inside but such a shame it's got to this state like many other buildings in Droitwich. The Worcestershire Hotel, brine baths. Its as if wychaven are selling off Droitwich to fund Evesham and Pershore.
A once gorgeous place, needlessly left to go to rack and ruin. If they didn’t want to maintain the property, they should’ve salvaged what they could of the fine old place and repurposed it elsewhere. The stained glass, the wrought iron, the exterior lights, etc. what a waste!
Such a grand old building, in many different ways. Tons of rooms, I guess there is a reason for having such a huge place there. Must have missed it, if said. Is it a vacation spot?
Droitwich resident here. The first part of the building to be built was as a manor house in the 1400's, which is the part with the main entrance and and the "Platts" restaurant sign. The bulk of the building (large wings with rooms and kitchens) was developed in the 1800's by a man called John Corbett. He was responsible for industrialising the towns salt production, which bought a huge amount of wealth and fame (within the UK) to the town. The building the lads filmed out of the window in one of these videos and described as "an old pub" is now the tourist centre and was actually an equally historic brine baths. The Raven and the Worcestershire Hotel (across the road on the site the modern red brick flats now occupy) were built to accommodate all the tourists arriving to the town to visit the baths for recreational and health reasons. You literally stayed across the road from the main attraction. In my 34 years in Droitwich, the hotel performed typical wedding and corporate functions as well as Christmas/office parties etc. For the last 10 or so years of its life seemed very quiet business-wise.
@@NeilTheDruid Thanks for the history. Helps to fill in the picture of such a huge hotel. The baths must have been a huge attraction for those seeking better health and a bit of R&R.
A shame really. Find it amusing that if it was people just nickin the copper pipes, that they left all the brass signs and the big stainless steel towel despensers that actually worth more in scrap. Well here in the US it is not sure about your neighborhood. Thanks for showing Matt.
I worked there in 2002/2003, in restaurant, used to serve morning teas and afternoon coffees in that long hall where the reception was. Shame you didn't actually checked the buildings behind the hotel, that's where the staff used to live (we had an outdoor pool ;) ) as only some managers were british, the rest was from all over the Europe, very young kids straight from schools, being paid pennies as we learned later. Unbelieveable what happened to it. Hopefully Chateau Impney (its sister) won't end up the same way :/
removed the internals, but still allow it to look like a normal standing building outside... listed buildings can't be touched so they give the impression to outside viewers that its still in good condition, only if you go in you find all the internal structures and beams holding up important areas have been removed.. looks as if they're just waiting for time to errode this now so they can reclaim the land without any comebacks.
I googled about this amazing place, so most of its going to be demolished to build a whole lot of modern town houses but the grade 2 listed part is to be kept, but I think that's the part that the roof has collapsed causing the mold and water damage.
It's believed the roof tiles were taken off to cause the damage and allow the weather, helping the owners/developers push there plans through to demolish what they can to build new houses/apartments.
It didn’t need a swimming pool it’s over the road from the lido pool that back in the day also had an indoor pool and it was also across the road from the brine baths

I like the optical illusion pictures you slotted in of the stairs.

Finally caught up, lived this explore, thanks for showing me around Matt you are a legend 🙌

Love the drone footage this is a lovely building shame to see the vandalism and decay thanks for sharing

Love the stills at the end, brillant 2 parter matt
Really interesting building, love seeing all the history, love the lanterns on the front, really old world. Shame it's going to ruin. Should be saved.
Respectfully requesting we round up the most recent interior design team and administer a suitable punishment at dawn.

1st class video to watch thank you take care kind regards from me kenneth😎💟👍
Hi Matt, another good video, and another heavy feeling of some more history lost and allowed to be needlessly destroyed, can't fathom it. Atb Will.
this place is 20 min drive from me - used be used a lot by players - droitfrom " worcestershire county cricket club " the town was once famous for its spa water
Good one!!
👍👍😎
Bloody hell lots of black mold! Mushy floors stinks I bet! Thank goodness we're years away from smellavision
Brilliant vids as always Matt 👍
Matt that was awesome 👍

a good lick of paint good for paying customers again ;)
Another fine explore. Shame about the roof, clearly not the work of vandals with the slates all being stacked up.
Hmmmm that'll be the owners NO ROOF = NO COUNCIL TAX.
The half landing is where the older part joins a newer part maybe
Damn shame about the roof being sabotaged like that. Property developer trick I assume?
A once gorgeous place, needlessly left to go to rack and ruin. If they didn’t want to maintain the property, they should’ve salvaged what they could of the fine old place and repurposed it elsewhere. The stained glass, the wrought iron, the exterior lights, etc. what a waste!
Few new carpets and be as new again 😉
That's what she said pt. 2
Great video yet again Matt. Followed you for a long time on my personal account. Love watching you and all the guys! Keep it up 👍🏻

22:20 in notice the joists go to metal web trusses
What you thought was at Richard's pub is actually the heritage and information centre and what you thought was flat's is actually the library.
The room with the record player was the last known redoubt of Sir Jimmy Saville.
If part 1 was anything to go by part 2 will just be as good

What model camera took the photos at that end. They pop lol
That Was Cool Matt But That Puke Pink EEEEEUUUUUWWWW!!! HaHa
Why was it abandoned?
It didn’t need a swimming pool it’s over the road from the lido pool that back in the day also had an indoor pool and it was also across the road from the brine baths
Bastards dismantling the roof to make it rot, if it was thieves they would have taken the slate tiles with them .
Wow what a place Matt, a very interesting video xxx
@Whoop!!
400 👍
The owner was going to renovate back in 2018
Engage brain before oration*
You need to clean your camera lens black dots on your recording
Its actually on the sensor and its been cleaned since them because I did indeed go YUKKKK myself.
That started a bit weird as I clicked straight into 2.15! Phew, thought you had changed your profession for a second?
