Watching this video, I had to pull out my hardcopy of "LIVEWIRD" and start re-reading it. I have been really studying this discipline as I am really interested in how understanding behavioral neurobiology in humans would help train law enforcement and military combat troops to more appropriately navigate one of the worst environments human must traverse: lethal force encounters (I spent 45 Years--1970-2015--as a grunt, safety services officer and first responder). I think this video finally explains why the camera angles constantly shift from close up to somewhat distant back to close up.
The same as insulin resistance, in chronic presence of eccessive glucose the cells adapt and end up having fewer insulin receptors.
This also explains how I'm able to listen to podcasts 2.5x or 3x speed, and how briefly jarring it is to switch to 1x speed.
